    Hey Markos,
I hope your day has been well. I recently stumbled upon your channel as I am a prospective medical school applicant in year 12 and I had a few questions regarding the IB subjects you chose as I chose similar ones too. My main question was how were you able to qualify for imperial, Cambridge, university of Edinburgh and as they require Math HL instead of Math AA SL, as I was really curious on what I should select because I did not want to discard my chances. In my opinion, having the two sciences at HL and math is quite challenging. Moreover, I wanted to ask for your interviews, especially at Cambridge, what were the more knowledge - based questions you received? Were they same level as the BMAT spec or does it require higher level background reading?
Thank you for taking your time to answer,
    Have a good day!

      Hi!
Well when I did maths, there was only maths HL, maths SL and maths studies. Since maths HL was such a huge leap from maths SL, most unis didn't actually require it for medicine. Also, I did do maths HL for a year, and this was in my tutor reference, so that helped my case. I think if you are going for these unis, and they do actually require some form of maths HL, then I would say take it, and if it gets too much for you, you can always just drop it after year 12. Yes, doing two sciences and maths is challenging, but I know plenty of people who did exactly that and got 777, and I did that plus econ HL fro a whole year and it wasn't all that bad in reality.
With regards to the interviews, they weren't the same as the BMAT, and you can't really prepare for content based questions. However, you can still prepare in other ways, by reading around subjects you find interesting, by doing practice interviews so that you get your answer technique down to a T, and by studying around things that you mention in your PS because many unis do ask about it. I would also say that you should be aware in TOK classes, particularly with things about nature of science and stuff because its very important for both the BMAT essay and for interviews. I will be making more videos about both the BMAT and interviews in the near future so stay tuned!
Hope this helps and best of luck!

Yes actually, I would recommend timing yourself to do questions faster than the time gives you, so that you have a little bit of flexibility when in the exam!
