this game was a bit famous and had lots of press because of a controversy: "is it a game?". some people think it's not a game because nothing happens, you just walk and read stuff. it's called a "walking simulator", more like an interactive story. there are other "walking simulators" like this that focus on story and exploring, like "what remains of edit finch", you'll probably like that one, it has places to explore and a lot of story to discover.
I bet you'd love the game The Long Dark!!! You basically go collect items to try and survive in an apocalyptic era. I noticed you loved collecting things in Final Fantasy :) Although it can be kinda scary if you have to fight a wolf
