My first attempt is in the oven right now. I used 400g of oats, not 200g. That's what it took to match the consistency shown in the video. Unfortunately, I used 4g of salt as shown in the video, not 2g as in the description. My fingers are crossed. I hope no further surprises await… PS: There are a great many armchair cooks commenting here. IMHO, as with Amazon reviews from those who haven't purchased/used the product, comments here from those who haven't made and eaten the dish are rarely useful.
Should be 2 1/4 tsp Baking Powder. I was in baking soda conversions not baking powder & they don't weigh the same. So sorry. Another conversion table lists 4 grams of cinnamon powder as 1 & 1/2 tsp USA.

Below are the ingredients I now use every time with good success. 1) 1¼ cups (200 g) OATS, 100% whole grain. 2) ¾ cups (175 ml) MILK, whole. 3) 2 EGGS, large. 4) ¼ cup (40 g) SUGAR, dark brown. 5) ½ tsp (2 g) SALT. 6) 2¼ tsp (10 g) BAKING POWDER (not soda). 7) 1½ tsp (4 g) CINNAMON. 8) 1 APPLE, Granny Smith. Any baking apple variety will probably do. 9) CRANBERRIES, dried, sweetened. Quantity as desired. 10) 350° F (177° C) OVEN, 45 minutes. Most of the above is just metric to imperial translation. The major exceptions are: 1) OATS, 100% whole grain, not oatmeal. WHY? My confusion. 2) MILK, 175 ml , not 400 ml. WHY? 400 ml made the batter FAR soupier than the video. Once I doubled the OATS, but the result wasn't nearly sweet/salty/cinnamony enough. IMO, cutting the MILK quantity by over half instead makes everything work. 3) CRANBERRIES, sweetened. WHY? I misread the package. I cut the final product into squares. The APPLE and CRANBERRIES tend to crumble off during cutting and eating. Pressing them in rather than merely sprinkling on top helps. Next time I'll try mixing them into the batter. I love these! Thanks so much for the recipe! 20220928: Corrected the SUGAR quantity. - RWD 20221004: The quad batch I made recently proved to me that mixing the APPLE and CRANBERRIES _into_ the batter stops 99% of the crumbling. I increased the cooking time somewhat to compensate for them being _in_ the batter rather than on top. - RWD 20221113: Corrected the SUGAR imperial quantity. 40g of sugar is far closer to ¼ cup than ½. Don't believe every measurement conversion site on the internet! Many thanks to @Tatiana Zander for the correction!
I like you showing us with timer how many minutes to soak oatmeal. Definitely will substitute raisins for cranberries. Possibly maple syrup for brown sugar .

This looks sooo good, and does not look insanely complicated, and might be a great morning alternative to waffles, which I love, but am looking to get way more fruit in my diet. That, and oats lower cholesterol something fierce. I think your viewers would love it, though, if you could put the recipe in the video description so people don't have to pause the videos you post. Just a suggestion. 😅
I agree with Katherine. The PRINTED recipe (ingredients and directions) should be posted BELOW the video -- so viewers and subscribers can do a "copy-and-paste" of the recipe. It is so difficult and time-consuming to "pause-and-write" the video of an interesting recipe. A printed recipe is also helpful for viewers who do not understand the English ACCENT of the chef.
I liked it. It's the right amount of sweetness for me and I added some ground nutmeg as well. The texture gets denser after it's cooled so I warmed the slices a little to get them soft again. Next time I think I'll mix the apple pieces into the mixture, it'll probably make the texture more moist. Thank you for sharing!

Looks interesting, but I know I would mix the apples, cranberries, etc. in completely. When I make my pancakes, I sauté bananas and apples with butter and cinnamon, then dump that into my gluten-free pancakes with more honey, cinnamon and cocoa! 🤤🤤🤤🤤😋

I just did this and, as much as it's really simple, quick and enjoyable, in my opinion this recipe has one big error: 4g of salt is WAY TOO MUCH. Listen to me and just put - at least! - half of that...if not less. I put exactly 4g and now I have a salty cake.
I have followed recipes to the letter on here before and one had an overload of bi carb,it went straight in the bin,what a waste of other ingredients. These so called chefs should check their recipes thoroughly
@@thepr3tty116 I had to Google it because I honestly did not know about it. I don't know its sweetening power or its taste. If you really cannot access brown sugar then go ahead with what you have or are used to, and look for proportion online...but if you can buy brown sugar I suggest you follow the recipe, which is quite a light one: sugar is a very little amount. And the taste of brown sugar goes well with apple and cinnamon, in my opinion. By the way I also added pieces of chocolate on top.

I have always mixed the fruit (and nuts) into the mixture, including vanilla extract. I also like baking them in portioned sizes. The proportion of crispy outside to moist inside is better in my opinion.
Thanks for the idea of mixing the fruit and nuts in with the mixture, and for suggesting the vanilla. I did all of those things! It's in the oven cooking now.
yo también la quiero hacer! se ve que llena bien y saludablemente. acá los ingredientes: 200gr de avena 400 de leche 2 huevos 4gr de sal 40gr de azúcar negra (creo, así se ve) 10gr de polvo de hornear 4gr de canela en polvo 1 manzana y arándanos secos para decorar (los cranberries que la persona usa son otro tipo de arándanos, más rojizos, pero creo que el sabor comparado con los azules es igual) Al principio mezcla la avena con leche y la deja remojar con temporizador para que absorba 10 minutos, después mezcla las dos preparaciones y sigue hasta el final del vídeo donde dice que se hornea en horno precalentado a 180°c por 40-50 minutos.

이거 진짜 맛있어요~빵부분 촉촉하고 시나몬향이랑 사과가 진짜 잘 어우러지는 맛이에요! 오트밀로 이것저것 만들어봤는데 오트밀 레시피 중엔 이게 최고입니다👍제 오븐으로는 열선모드 190도 60분 정도 구워야하더라구요. 오븐 사양따라 시간은 조절해야하는 것 같아요!

만들어본 오트밀, 다이어트 디저트 중에 제일 부드럽고 맛있었어요!! 만들기도 어렵지 않고 재료도 다 집에 있는 거라 아까 만들어서 먹어봤는데 너무너무 맛있어요 ㅜ 젓가락으로 콕 찍어봤을 때 아주 살짝 묻어나와서 더 구울까 했는데 그냥 식혀봤거든요. 그랬더니 오히려 너무 촉촉하니 맛있는 거예요.. 오트밀로 이런 속세의 맛 구현할 수 있는지 처음 알았습니다 😌 좋은 레시피 감사드려요! 종종 구워볼 생각이에요!

Looks interesting, but I know I would mix the apples, cranberries, etc. in completely. When I make my pancakes, I sauté bananas and apples with butter and cinnamon, then dump that into my gluten-free pancakes with more honey, cinnamon and cocoa! 🤤🤤🤤🤤😋
Yes, I was wondering if that would work. I was thinking they would break up the oatmeal cake underneath and make it fall apart. Smaller apple pieces, maybe. I'm going to try it! Cocoa would be a great addition.

There is not one single “low cal” ingredient! (Except the salt, cinnamon and baking powder.)
건과일 안뿌려도 맛있네요! 다이어트 하면서 먹어도 좋은 빵 너무 좋아요. 사과대신 바나나 넣어도 맛있어요.
I just did this and, as much as it's really simple, quick and enjoyable, in my opinion this recipe has one big error: 4g of salt is WAY TOO MUCH. Listen to me and just put - at least! - half of that...if not less. I put exactly 4g and now I have a salty cake.
I have followed recipes to the letter on here before and one had an overload of bi carb,it went straight in the bin,what a waste of other ingredients.
These so called chefs should check their recipes thoroughly

@@thepr3tty116 I had to Google it because I honestly did not know about it. I don't know its sweetening power or its taste. If you really cannot access brown sugar then go ahead with what you have or are used to, and look for proportion online...but if you can buy brown sugar I suggest you follow the recipe, which is quite a light one: sugar is a very little amount. And the taste of brown sugar goes well with apple and cinnamon, in my opinion. By the way I also added pieces of chocolate on top.

To avoid calories I would choose not too much brown sugar (optional) just add some apples n cranberries n other fruits will do well..
@Marie Lim: I agree that sugar could be optional. Matter of taste: I would add no sugar at all (if I did it just for myself), .......... unless the apples are granny smith :D
Splenda makes a great brown sugar for diabetics & others watching their sugar intake.

I have always mixed the fruit (and nuts) into the mixture, including vanilla extract. I also like baking them in portioned sizes. The proportion of crispy outside to moist inside is better in my opinion.

Thanks for the idea of mixing the fruit and nuts in with the mixture, and for suggesting the vanilla. I did all of those things! It's in the oven cooking now.

yo también la quiero hacer! se ve que llena bien y saludablemente. acá los ingredientes:
200gr de avena
400 de leche
2 huevos
4gr de sal
40gr de azúcar negra (creo, así se ve)
10gr de polvo de hornear
4gr de canela en polvo
1 manzana
y arándanos secos para decorar (los cranberries que la persona usa son otro tipo de arándanos, más rojizos, pero creo que el sabor comparado con los azules es igual)
Al principio mezcla la avena con leche y la deja remojar con temporizador para que absorba 10 minutos, después mezcla las dos preparaciones y sigue hasta el final del vídeo donde dice que se hornea en horno precalentado a 180°c por 40-50 minutos.
