Deepti graduated with a B.Tech. (EE, CS Minor) from IIT Gandhinagar in 2014. She interned at California Institute of Technology, where she worked on machine learning for earthquake early warning systems. After graduating, she started a company that was trying to fix the hiring problem using machine learning, saving both companies and candidates the trouble of trying to find a fit. It bombed.
She also did a short stint as a waiter/ pizza assembler job at Pizza Hut to step out of her comfort zone. As engineer #2 at vahan.ai, she built a WhatsApp chatbot for recruitment/ training of blue-collar workers (used by Swiggy, Dunzo, Flipkart, etc.).
Deepti is currently a co-founder at Adaface, which helps companies identify top candidates for tech roles.
