Saurya Prakash graduated from IITGN in 2013 with a BTech in
the discipline of Electrical Engineering. After graduating from
IITGN, he joined Flipkart as an Analyst. He worked there for
about two years and later founded a startup, Townrush. After
six months, Saurya sold his startup to Grofers. Later, he
joined PhonePe and worked as a Product Manager for about
two months and co-founded Recko, Inc. with his friend
Prashant in 2018. During his time at IITGN, Saurya was a part
of the International Collaborative Research team of
Underwriters Laboratories (UL). He was the winner of the UL
project team for coming up with innovative ideas to reduce
hazards for firefighters in urban India. Consequently, he
secured a fully funded internship at UL, Northbrook, USA during the summer of 2010. He also presented several talks at
various events organized by UL in Mumbai and Delhi.
Prashant Borde is a pioneer batch BTech alumnus of
Electrical Engineering. During his time at IITGN, Prashant and
his friends started GridAnts in 2012. They were one of the first
teams of Alumni to start a company in IITGN at the then
newly set up IITGN Incubation Center (IIC) in 2012 at VGEC
Campus Ahmedabad. Prashant worked at GridAnts for about
three years, and then he joined Jio and worked for about a
year. In 2018, he co-founded Recko with Saurya.
Recko was started with the mission to help businesses
manage their financial operations with agility, simplicity,
and innovation. They have built a platform that lets
businesses track and automate payment reconciliation,
covering both outgoing and incoming payments and the full
ecosystem of inbound and outbound payment sources and
receivers. In 2021, Recko was acquired by Stripe, an Irish-
American financial services and software service company
dual-headquartered in San Francisco, United States, and
Dublin, Ireland. Recko hit a revenue of $4.8 million and
funding of over $7 million. Recko’s clients included Grofers,
Meesho, Dunzo, Pharmeasy, Curefit, Udaan, MPL, and
Khatabook.
Saurya Prakash is working as a Product Manager at Stripe and
Prashant Borde is the Engineer Leader at Stripe.
