Just now discovered your videos and lovin' them! I'm a 69y.o. disabled Viet Vet, doing the full-time RV thing till I kick it. Second year back in this area, staying at the Bulldog Creek Campground (really nice, and fair-priced). Just bought a, '08 Heritage Softail a few days ago, so really gettin' back in the groove! FYI for all you fanbase.. I did 8 years Law Enforcement before the PTSD got the better of me. I've already experienced the Sturgis Cop Syndrome.. had one follow me for blocks and about five turns; just hoping I'd do something wrong. >>>Anyway, by law, the Po-Po have to have "Reasonable Suspicion" of a criminal violation before they can stop/detain you. And as you have said, they have a tendency to just make that up as they go. So camera up if you can. I'll be using front and rear dash cams when I ride. If you do get stopped, and you're legit.. record the entire traffic stop, and you have the right to do that..period! Even if you blew over the limit, and you have proof that the officer had no probable cause by your actions.. any half-wit lawyer will get the charges thrown out. Keep it going Brother !
Welcome back to the area, glad you made it. The haze is smoke due to all the fires in states west of us. Just a forewarning, if you venture in to rapid city, be patient and head on a swivel, lots of construction. I'm sure you had to deal with a bit on I-90 in the middle of rapid already. Also I've had a few friends tell me that iron mountain road is crazy place right now with all the tourists. Be safe out there and have fun. Will be so many people doubt I'll see or get to meet you. Keep up the videos, loving it.

I have always rode mine and gone to the Chip at least eight times on my bike and never once checked for anything. I am pretty sure the “no guns, no drugs, no booze is just to protect themselves as it truly is the wild west come about 2:00 am every night.

That’s not haze Monk, that’s smoke from all the wildfires in California. We have been dealing with it for weeks in Colorado, causing pretty poor air quality as well.

Question: Should you ever get parts installed at a rally? Cost me more or less than at the dealership?
Got my V&H pipes put on in 2016 on my WG installation free cost just under 500$ for black long shots, I think better deal at rally as long as it’s a reputable company.

Most big ticket items get pit on for free! Just get there early in morning or you'll be there all day waiting!
This is Mike from RickRak. I noticed you mentioned El Buffalo. He is one of our customers! He had an issue with the GoPro 360 mount and I took care of him. Tell him RickRak wants to know if he is happy now... (I'm pretty sure he is, I personally took care of him).

Only while riding! Most places won't let colors in. Big signs you'll see them. Lock in your bags.

It was supposed to be paved but cost and locals fought it so we got gravel. I got that from a local that had lots of input to this road.

Great video! So, all joking aside, what is the truck and trailer search consist of? Just a quick look for booze and weapons in plain sight? What about concealed carry’s (I have reciprocity from my home state of PA). Or do they open coolers and flip up seats? Obviously whatever you are doing works, or they don’t look super hard. First time Sturgis goer this year!

Saw you were using a equalizer hitch. I bought one a couple months ago. It seems to work well, but it's crazy loud. I'm almost embarrassed pulling into a campground for the racket it makes. Does yours do the same or am I setting it up wrong? Thanks
Oh yeah it’s loud as hell. I love how dudes like to tell me I have a bad wheel bearing, etc. they have NO idea what they’re talking about. It’s noisy but works so well I let it go.

Apologies for the stupid question but where do the bikes and golf cart go when you are on the road? Is there a section inside the RV/Caravan that they can be stored? Or do they fit in the back of the pick-up bed? :/
They go in the back of the RV. The back half is open space with tie downs.

Really wanted to go to sturgis next year but its sounds like there really strict up there not saying I want to drink and drive but I have a cdl and dont need any kind of ticket so I will be doing leesburg instead
