What a great response to my challenge, plus we see a heap of useful techniques and get more than a few design insights.
Yes what a brilliant and creative idea..... Sam
Thank you very much sir, means a lot... We all step up our game on this one 🤗
Thank you Sam😀
Masterful! A really efficient utilization of materials. The fact that the wood figure cascades through each piece is the cherry on top.
Thank you,glad you liked it
Nice work, You can call the set "Goldilocks and the three bears"
Tomislav, that is the KEWLest turning I've seen in a long time. I vote you win this one ... : ) ... I've got to try something like this, Tx
Thank you very much 🤗 go for it 😀
When I saw the challenge was a 6x6 cube I tried to imagine what I would turn. I saw your lidded bowl and was a little let down. But when you took the lid off and showed the other bowls inside I realized that you had thought outside the box. You hit a home run. You crushed this challenge. The lid as a serving tray with the small bowl as a little dip bowl, very inventive. Thanks for again sharing your skills.
Thank you sir for kind words and support.... Glad you liked it and it was a challenge but really enjoy it as I want to turn these for a long time ☺️
Wow you made the most of your material... I believe you won this round. Can't wait for next challenge.
Thank you very much 🤗
Nicely designed and turned Tomislav.
Take care
Cheers
Harold
Thank you Harold very much 🤗
Thanks tomislav, very impressive work with great design.
I now use your technique when putting inside ring when rechecking bowl plus putting ring on foot of bowl.
I really enjoy your work and teaching style.
One of the best online
Aaa thank you Greg, means a lot 😀 glad you liked the video
Excellent. Always thinking outside the box.
Thank you 😉
I think this is the most enjoyable and challenging of your many project videos. Excellent work sir.
Thank you, and most fun and rewarding as well 😀
Beautiful! Who woulda thought that cube had that much inside! Great job, Thanks for sharing. I was thinking one of you might do a three-sided bowl out of a cube!
Take care. Dave
Thank you Dave very much 🤗 glad you liked it ☺️ turn out better then I imagine
That is great Tomislav. I would have given up ages ago. Best regards. 🙃

You have an extraordinary talent. Well done sir.👍
Thank you very much 🤗
WOW, just WOW!
Thank you sir🤗
@tomislavtomasicwoodturning I'm fairly new to wood turning. I bought my first lathe last November and only have carbide tools but hope to get traditional tools some day.
I found your channel about a month or so ago and have watched many of your videos. I don't log into UA-cam very often but watch several turners such as yourself every day.
I just want you to know how much I enjoy and appreciate your new tutorial series videos.... Thank you! ~ CJ
Thank you very much CJ for very kind words and support 🤗 glad you like videos😉
Love this challenge, but even more so your solution fabulous.

Lol, I thought I was commenting on the previous video! Sorry for the mix up. Anyway, I like your method of drying using the microwave. I never thought of trying that. . .

You are a surgeon with those tools, Tomislav! And then you produce the most creative use of that block. So much to learn in your skill and techniques! Well done on that lovely and complex set of bowls.

Very good. A lot of work, but it turned out beautiful.
Thank you very much 🤗
I am very much enjoyin these 4 ways videos 😁
Glad you liked them, I like watching as well what Richard,Mike and Sam come up with🤗
Very impressive use of as much timber as possible! I'm also impressed that none of you did a 3 sided dish which is what I thought as soon as I heard it the challenge was "use a 6" cube". Excellent!
Thank you very much, glad you liked it ☺️. I think every turner on UA-cam did one of those 3 sided , so each of us went different rout....and glad we did🤗
They turned out amazing!
Thank you very much 🤗
Love your solution, thinking outside the box...

Томислав! Фантастика!!! Просто фантастика!!! В самом начале видео, когда ты открыл свою шкатулочку, я аж подскочил на стуле! Шикарная работа. Спасибо за наслаждение. Всегда приятно смотреть, как работает Мастер!
Thank you very much for kind words, really appriciate that... Thank you for watching and support what we do 🤗
First time watching the challenge. Watched all 4. Not to take away from the others but if there were a vote for favorite you would have my vote. Great work.
@@rickgibson7876 thank you very much, we all step up the game on this one....🤗
Brilliant! Yours is the first of the four I've watched. Now off to watch the other three. What a clever use of a cube of wood! Love it!
Thank you very much, glad you liked it ☺️
Tomislav i really like your videos and you really nailed this 6" cube challenge
thank you Ian very much, thank you for watching 🤗
Dear Tomislav, what a great demo: I have enjoyed every minute of this UA-cam: I was impressed by your concept so original for a cube, but also by the techniques that made the inserted bowls fit nicely. What a great idea to make this series, I would not have discovered you without it. It also pushed me into turning something out of a six inches cube. I had a freshly cut multi croch piece of cherry, where the trunk splits into 5 branches that is in process of being turned. Since my wood is quite wet it will be more classic, somehow an hollowed vase or vessel more similar to Richard’s or Sam’s turnings. Otherwise I will in a near future tackle the task of replicating your concept. Thanks again to the four of you for this stimulating series.
Thank you very much for kind words and support what we do 🤗 glad you liked it and go for it, its a lot of fun making these nested bowls 🤗
Winner!
Thank you👍
This is the second challenge viewed.
What an ingenious and complex solution beautifully executed. Congratulations.
Thank you very much 🤗
A beautiful piece. And as Mr Raffan says, demonstrates a variety of techniques very well. And though it may not be as perfect in your eyes as you feel it could be if you had done it from more than one piece of wood, I think it's fine indeed, and very much in the George Lailey tradition. Thanks for making and sharing this.
Thank you very much sir for watching and kind words 🤗 means a lot to have support from awsome woodturning community, and this is our way to give back ☺️
Nice Set 👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you🤗
Outstanding. You certainly got your monies worth from that block. Beautiful design. Great execution.🙂🙂
Thank you sir, glad you liked it ☺️
I quitw like the grain match from coring! ❤
Thanks!
Thanks you for watching 🤗
That was a really over the top response to the challenge! I can't imagine having to incorporate some many factors into completing a set of turnings. Absolutely masterful.
Thank you very much, its was fun and challengeing 😀
Amazing response to the challenge. Definitely you have taken it to the next level. Absolutely beautiful too! Thank you.
Thank you Johnny very much 🤗
wow wow wow, you knocked out of the park. So creative snd skilful. So much for all of us to learn. I haven't seen the other three yet but in my mind you are already the winner !
Thank you for kind words and watching 🤗 glad you liked it
Thanks
No problem,glad you enjoy it
Now that is one of the neatest ideas I have seen to date! Excellent!
Thank you very much for kind words 🤗 glad you liked it
Very Impressive-great idea. 😀 sam
Thank you very much Sam🤗
Wow, that is really utilizing a 6" cube to it's fullest!
Thank you very much, glad you liked it
31:52 - Really enjoy your videos. Was wondering, when do you choose to use the inertial sander versus the power sander? At roughly this point in the video you used both for the outside of the bowl.
Thank you very much... Inertia sander is great as it won't leave sanding marks on wood like with hand or power sand.....
That was next level. Can you tell us what you where thinking when you came up with the idea? What was your process?
Thank you very much, I had this idea for a long time in my head but never got the time to make it, and this seemed like great opportunity to make it and push my self out of comfort zone.... I will talk about design in my next Q&A video, and your comment will be in it🤗
This is marvellous! i really enjoyed, and learned a lot from, this video. Thank you.
Best Wishes, Brendan.
Glad to be of service Brendan, thank you for watching 🤗
Great work, as always ! You make it look so easy...
Please provide the references of your coring device.
Thank you very much for watching and support what we do 🤗 I'll show it in Q&A SERIES or separate video really soon.... To not keep you wainting, its McNaughton system, mini knifes😀
@@tomislavtomasicwoodturning Thanks a lot ! Looks interesting because not too large...
Amazing Tom, just beautiful, what coring tool is that?
Thank you Mike, glad you liked it, its McNaughton system but old one , previous owner bend really bad some of the curved knives but manage to sort of straight one of it for this one....☺️
@@tomislavtomasicwoodturning thaks!
Tomislav, absolutely brilliant! Very innovative design with great tool work. Without being to inquisitive why the modification to the tool rest?
Thank you very much Rich, glad you liked it 😀 you mean sticker on rest? It started to peel of at right corner and curl up, so try to remove it all but left some residue.... No drama or anything like that 😅
Could you please start using a push stick when cutting on your bandsaw or my nerves will not be able to take it. Great ideas but blood colour would not do it any justice. Did you make the coring tool yourself ?.
Nope, its McNaughton coring system, but I have old one used , in really bad shape.
Very impressive, I love it!
How would you go about pricing this set in comparison to pricing each bowl?
Viewers?
What do you think?
You can always sell separate but ofcourse as a set they have more sense.... Its small set and it would be easier to do with nice working McNaughton blades, but this I would charge around 150 USD, roughly.... Again depends on size and how precise I have to be😉
@tomislavtomasicwoodturning thanks for the reply. That is very affordable! I love watching you turn. You get work done quickly!
I have really enjoyed learning basic tips from you. Now, I can safely use my scrapers.
Keep up the great work!
@@Kenswoodturnings awsome to hear that, thank you very much
