    Thanks for the review. I love them both so much I bought one of each to extend my kayaking into the fall. I live in the States near Washington DC and just use the Sport in the Summer when it’s warm since I usually get splashed a bit but not uncomfortably. The Potomac River gets cooler quickly in the Fall and you always dress for the water and that includes the boat. I haven’t bought a spray skirt yet but I’ll need one next Spring when I can go out again for safety.
    BTW I purchased the Hi-Viz green color AF for greater visibility. Crazy jet skiers and powerboaters are everywhere and I’m a lot slower! I might get the Expedition next but gotta solve this pandemic 😷 first! Stay safe!

      I see, I didn't realize both models had the same advanced frame name. I thought it was just one and the other was just called a sport not an advanced frame sport. I get it now tho I think. These are both part of an advanced frame line similar to how sea eagle explorer line but there are a cpl models that have further designation on top of the "explorer" designation

    Could I point out as a long term owner of the advanced frame that it is 10 minutes set up. Because you have 2 Chambers. One floor 2 front deck risers to inflate and two rear deck risers to inflate and also 2 combing chambers to inflate.by the time you have done all of the above by hand and electric pump it is easily ten minutes. The difference between the sport and the advanced frame is they effort required to move the sport is considerably less thanks to the 5 kilos less buy for a 105 kilo person sits way to low way too much drag

      Hi Keith, I've got an Osmo action camera with a tripod connection now, so next time I go out in it, I'll do a set up video, which will also work as a timer. Cheers, Emily.

    Hi Emily, thanks for the great video. Looking to get the Advanced Frame with a dropstitch floor, but do you think upgrading the seat to the Lumbar one is worth it? And also, what would you recommend as foot rests, or is it not really necessary for the AF? I am around1.67m (5.48 feet).
    Thank you!

    • @OzinflatablekayaksAu
      @OzinflatablekayaksAu  3 роки тому +2

      Hi, The lumbar seat is a nice-to-have item, not a necessity. I would suggest just using the regular seat and watching my video about adjusting the seat correctly, and see how you go. If you want a bit of extra lumbar support, you can always come back later to purchase it. Regarding the foot rest, we sell a LOT of the inflatable foot brace. It's one of those items that is absolutely necessary for some paddles, and not missed at all by others - I think it depends on your paddling technique and how your body is shaped. Here is the inflatable foot brace link: ozinflatablekayaks.com.au/product/inflatable-foot-brace/ and here is the video on using the seat: ua-cam.com/video/r8GzB4e0-Vs/v-deo.html Cheers, Emily.

      @@OzinflatablekayaksAu Thanks for your answer, checked the videos! Just one last question if that’s ok, if you use the foot brace, does it really limit the storage space in front? For let’s say a day/weekend trip? Thanks!

    just purchased 2 advanced frame kayaks. we have an electric pump and were wondering about the attachment you are using and the PSI for the main chambers. The manual mentions 25 pumps with their pump but we were wondering if 2psi for each chamber is accurate?

    • @OzinflatablekayaksAu
      @OzinflatablekayaksAu  3 роки тому

      Hi Scott, 2PSI is too much pressure for chamber 1. If you are using an electric pump, you won't be able to set a shut-off pressure, you will just have to watch the tube, and when it is full of air but not under any pressure, then you stop the pump. Cheers, Emily.

      @@X0oSCOTTo0X No, the shut-off for chamber 1 should be 1 PSI, but I strongly recommend you just watch the chamber and when it has air in it, but it's still soft, stop the pump and switch to chamber 2. Cheers, Emily.

    Why do you keep calling these Advanced Frame? The company is Advanced Elements, is it not? My limited understanding is the Advanced Frame was an early model/design from Advanced Elements that served as a precursor to the current line.

    • @OzinflatablekayaksAu

      Hi Daniel, The company is Advanced Elements and their kayaks mentioned in the video are the models of kayaks. So for example Advanced Elements AdvancedFrame Kayak.

      Hi Daniel, funnily enough, although the AdvancedFrame WAS one of Advanced Element's earliest kayaks, it is STILL a best seller!

      @@OzinflatablekayaksAu I can see why sorta. I just started looking into inflatables and know nothing, but what catches my eye about these is how it inflates with those ballast around the side like a it's a frame inside a skin. I feel it's more protected this way compared to other designs. I'm not getting one this summer it's just not in the cards, but if I get one next year it's gonna be one of these advanced frames or the sea eagle explorer series. I'm leaning explorer because for like $500 you get a kayak I can do everything in. When I say everything I also live withing 90 minutes of the ocean and Id like to do so surf action in it so I don't have to lug the large hard plastic ocean kayak down there. Plus I kinda like how those explorers have 3 hard plastic keels on the bottom in addition to the hard plastic skeg .

      Why shouldn't we be able to spend quality time with our dogs and children in them? Advanced Elements and ourselves have numerous photos, videos and information with people of all ages and pets in these kayaks, and fishing as well! They are not just designed for a specific person of a specific age.

    Thanks Emily. Great job! I understand the access advantage of the Sport, but does it also provide more leg room? I currently have the Lagoon and my 5'11" 160 lb. frame really doesn't fit comfortably. (The Lagoon is not a boat I'd recommend for another reason, which is abysmal tracking). The leg area in the Lagoon is long enough but too narrow for both legs, so wondering if I'm better off with Frame or Frame Sport for comfort. Thanks!
