for the last 9yrs we've been getting on top of mountains to find only $60,000+ rigs up there. we've had open diffs, 10" smaller tires, and IFS. every video where drivers are messing around with lines the comments are the same: needs lockers, IFS sucks. i think these people are weenies who want to turn their idle up, lock all 3, and not have to make any decisions for the next few hours. i like the puzzle. i LIKE coming around a corner and thinking "there's no way i can put my car on that.." and then figuring out how to anyway. good camera work, good lack of music, great video 👍
I love ford and have a ranger but the lack of locking differentials steered me toward a Toyota 4runner.... couldn’t be happier with that toyo- from the US with love
It all comes down to where you're taking them. I'll take the 80 offroad because it'll never let you down. I'll take the L300 to the store or into the city because you'll always find parking.
+matju julajuli Don't know as the vans have standard power steering since the 1990's. I am sure the Delica forum can answer that for you. www.delica.com
+Michael Nugara I am a fan of long travel IFS. Seen those offroad buggies? IFS rocks as the diff is higher. Even on the van I drive up things with 31" tyres where solid axles get stuck on 33's. How about that.
+Martin VanMan lol those vans go alright but honastly they have nothing on a live axel. My cruiser only has a 2" lift in the back and i think i would cruise up there no drama at all. Would love to prove it if your ever around Gladstone QLD in Australia. I have no idea where this vid was taken...
Michael Dean I would like to join you and see whether the 2" would be enough. Any similar tracks around Gladstone? This video is made in the Blue Mountains near Lithgow NSW.
+Martin VanMan there is a few good ones. My car has had to spend the night out there before awaiting good weather lol. Failing that we are looking at moving to the sunny coast so maybe there will be some good stuff there.
acalthu Most Mitsubishi L300 4x4 Delica's are diesel! This Mitsubishi L300 4x4 is a bit more sober, no frills version. It's called an Express in Australia and most are 2.4 litre petrol with manual 5-speed transmission. The good thing of petrol is that it has 145 hp and weighs less than the diesel Delica. Low end torque is a problem here for the 4 cylinder petrol as you can see. And yes: all 4x4 L300's have proper low gearing with a 2:1 transfer case.
Haha what? I’m currently searching for Delica L300 for me and the first point of my checklist I’d NO DIESEL (and the second is MANUAL TRANSMISSION;). Yes, I know - they can have a better torque but these heavy, noisy, polluting Diesels suck!
Despite the engine handicap, Mitsubishi has done it! those two Toyotas ahead had bigger engines 3.0 against the L300 which is 2.5! It's the drivers strategy that matters
+taher mesallem Do not compare drunk drivers on the L300 with AT tires with conventional SUVs stupid! Immediately obvious that you do not know L300 =) hahahahahaha

Geeeeze, that L300 reminds me of the time I had one,and put it on its side. Fortunately there were plenty of willing hands to get it upright.
Very good, Well done all. Good camera work to.
"Everything depends on the gasket
between the seat and steering wheel")))
Delica L300 FTW! ✌️
Lockers make life easier. Less drama.
First land cruiser driver wasn't soo bright. Instead of going straight he went on the wrong side.
He wanted the challenge... not the easiest path!
dude spotting was a terrible
That is awesome. 👍
All about picking the right line
what track is this & where is it?
Delica is handicapped! 2.5 vs 3.0
What does a Landcruiser + solid axle + lock diffs = ? Best 4WD ever made that's what.
hey nick hahaha give me a land rover s2 anyday
How can i modified L300 4wd 1984 to power stering
+matju julajuli Don't know as the vans have standard power steering since the 1990's. I am sure the Delica forum can answer that for you. www.delica.com
IFS and leaf springs is just a rubbish suspension set up. He was lucky not to snap a cv in the ranger. I Can't believe that L300 van didn't tip.

If only the Delica had a diesel.

l300 van has rear air locker and front diff welded.
even it's possible, I think it's a dangerous thing to use a non-bonnet car for off road. its stability is so bad
i cant believe the express didnt tip over
L300 ü süremiyosan çıkmayacaksın üzerine 2 saatte çıkıyor ya
I like these jeeps
I think Mitsubishi L300 van needs some work
Despite the engine handicap, Mitsubishi has done it! those two Toyotas ahead had bigger engines 3.0 against the L300 which is 2.5! It's the drivers strategy that matters
Yep, you right!
Since a few months it got reduction gears so it should go a lot smoother now, without stalling the engine.
Yea it needs some works
Delica'd driver definitely on the lucky driver side not on the good driver side
Nice
Train these drivers please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!🙈🙈🙈
Turkler burdami
Mitsubishi best 4x4
Despite the engine handicap, Mitsubishi has done it! those two Toyotas ahead had bigger engines 3.0 against the L300 which is 2.5
It more powerful if use diesel engine
Ford Ranger is a piece of crap. Land Cruiser hands down.
Doug use the clutch!
Non-diesel 4x4's are in such a pain.
True. But the petrol engines have the powerrrr.
Lower gearing would be handy.
no diff locker in the first 80 series
So nice 👍🏻
One bad @$$van!
Why drive the way that might screw your 4by up.
It is a test track. There is a normal track next to this one, so it makes an ideal track to learn your vehicle.
Nice,i got my 4by back so i will be heading out soon 😁
It helps if you know how to drive
Game over
oh man
Just show fords got nothing on Toyota
Wow how shit is that ranger

+taher mesallem Do not compare drunk drivers on the L300 with AT tires with conventional SUVs stupid! Immediately obvious that you do not know L300 =) hahahahahaha
