  • British Army Quick Deploy Tarp Set Up
In this video I show you my British Army Tarp Set up designed for a quick getaway.
BASHA stands for British Army Standard Hotel Accommodation
These videos on my channel are from my own experiences and learning over the many years of living in the wild,
scouting and my time spent in the Army!
My aim for this channel is to have a good resource of easy tips and teachings to help more and more people
understand the art of Bushcraft. This could be for self learning or passing these skills over to scouts, guides,
forest schools or any other groups. If you do find this content useful please send me a message of support and how
it went so I xcan continue with this channel knowing I am helping some people on the way.

Basha (no 'r') coming from the Assamese language name for a temporary shelter and first entering British Army parlance following jungle campaigns in Burma and Malaya.
Colloquially also known in the forces as an acronym for 'British Army Standard Hotel Accommodation'. 🙂

Nice video, thank you. I learnt the KISS acronym from a South African buddy and it's something of a life lesson for me.

Great video buddy. Personally I was happy with bungees but get the cord idea. I did bin the stuff sack and replaced it with a larger ortlieb bag as getting it in the issue one is a pain in the jacobs. I would have covered the CASEVAC options with the basha too.

Cheers Mate, yes I ditched the sac as well when I was in, I tended to just shove it into the top outer pouch of the burgan most of the time.

You can cut off the carrying handle around the edge of the tarp (8) saves a bit of weight and it will easily fit the stuff sack . Best wishes !

Thanks for sharing this video, I will definitely be tying knots on my paracord like you have in this video, as it really is much quicker!

I’m autistic and trying to learn knots is as hard as anything. I’ve made to lengths one either side of the ridge. A bit short I fear. Some straight lengths on the corners. Will see how it goes. Always been a tent dweller so this will be interesting. Got a new unused DPM woodland Basha from a neighbour, foc and just ordered a MTP Basha grade 1
Woodland for summer & autumn and MTP winter & spring plus coastal camps.
