I bought this album to make a long drive, with some buckets of flowers, travelling 350km, I kept the heater off because it would wilt the flowers. Going to my father's funeral. I bought the album blind, had no idea it was this song with these lyrics. I've played the album on fairly regular rotation since then. One night since then, I felt a particularly strong compulsion to play it, and the song that starts: "they sentenced me to 15 years of boredom, for trying to change the system from within"... I played it loudly and I felt a presence in the room. The words mean so much to me. Then later that night I discovered that Leonard Cohen had died. I have no idea what that presence was, but I can tell you it really struck me. This is one heck of an album.

I saw a man in his 60s in a park today playing and singing this. Just him, a black accoustic guitar, a mike, and a small amp. He did a solid job with the tune and it reminded me what a great tune this is and brought me here. Peace.

Both are (were) great artists but Dylan will go down as the greatest songwriter in modern history with over 300 written and with a diversity that will never be matched.
