I am having the same issue for the past week, have disassembled the whole clutch from from the basket up multiple times to see what ia going on, I have removed the snap ring off and readjuted the lever to the dot aligns and is beginning to pull on the plates. But the clutch is so tight that I cannot pull with the lever , feels like the lever will brake. I did not over tighten the springs, tripple checks to 10Nm.
So the reason my clutch wasn’t working is because the cable arm rod wasn’t positioned properly. In the video you can tell it’s only the slack being pulled in when I engage the cable at the end. All I had to do was to rotate the rod so the cable tension is pulled tight. So if it’s the same issue it’s an easy fix that was a head scratcher for me since no one clearly explained what lining up the dot and the arrow for the cable arm really meant. Hope that helps.
Hi I am having exactly the same issue you had with the cable arm rod not creating enough tension. To get the arm in the correct position allowing the right tension did you have to expose all of the clutch again and take all of the casing off . Really appreciate your help. Thanks.
@@tracer1127 my clutch case was scratched up a little change the case all good now there was a little dent on the inside of my clutch case could just about see it .
Take the snap ring off the clutch cover lever. And clock it to the bike 1/4 inch or so. If your lever is floppy. 3:54

You didn't allign the dot properly!
Dot must be alligned by the time you feel the biggest resistance on the clutch,by moving it with your hand.
i have the same problem on my mt09 2016.
