This weekend we're unplugging from it all & getting some much needed fishing therapy at our off grid, remote Alaska cabin! We bought this cabin in 2023 & it has been a blessing to our family ever since. Alaska is beautiful and unlike anywhere else, but out at our remote cabin, it's a whole other world! The wildlife is everywhere, wild flowers line the landscape and really put on a great show featuring the wilds of ALASKA during the summer season. Thanks for joining us for another video!

I generally don't comment much. That said the haters can kiss off! I'm 68 and work so hard that I now have made a mess of my health. You are on the right track because you have to be the first person in charge of your health care. God will see to the rest of it for you and your family.

I was raised in Northern New Brunswick in Canada. We have a very large population of moose. It is common to see them on the highway after being hit by cars, and even semi trucks. The moose wins.
A lot of roads here are two lane and treed on both sides.
Everyone with a brain stem, knows to slow down when coming around a corner.
If at night, you see one on the road. Turn off your lights, keep your foot on the brake to let others know you are stopped.
A moose is no joke. They are dangerous, and will kill you.
They lose their minds during mating.
I have hunted during mating season, hearing a male moose charging thru trees, and snapping them like twigs. Scares the crap out of you.
I had lived in Yellowknife for a few years. Truly miss the quiet.
Your family is blessed to have this experience.

When Joe is building the dock he should think about putting a zip line to help haul the stuff to and from the dock to the cabin with a small motor at the dock end to help you haul it all
Watching this video of you all out at the remote cabin I can't help but wonder how sweet Kelan is doing. There's so much to be said about the simple life, so soothing, so healing but hard work at the same time. Tina my husband bought a gas powered wheelbarrow and also an electric battery powered wheelbarrow. He loves them to carry things around the home-place. He is a work horse like Joe but sometimes he likes to have the extra help. They would easily help get your supplies up the hill to the cabin. Just a suggestion. Take care and don't let the haters get you down. Still praying for your health.

I don’t know why people think they need to tell somebody how to live. It’s your choice to live where you live and enjoy what you do. But I can’t believe I’m listening to different UA-cam channels and different people just wanna tell people how to live. Why don’t they just go live their own life. I enjoy watching you. I don’t want you all the time but I enjoy watching I used to love the outdoors. I just got back from Arizona, which is high altitude because I live along the Colorado River, which is very hot this time of year. But I think I was starting to get altitude Sickness so I came home a day early. I’m 75. But I love the outdoors. I know I can’t do what I used to do, but I did backpack the Grand Canyon for a week when I was 26. Glad I did it when I did it. So you keep enjoying and just tell those people that you had to live flake off

Tina I have lived in Alaska If you have water around you then Mosquitos and no see ems. You either learn to live with them or they will run you off. You and your family have learned to work around them and still have a good time. Keep it up. Amy from MS

This is the downside of the internet. Anonymity breeds a false sense of courage and belief that your opinions actually matter.

Tina you are a ray of sunshine in my life of darkness & sorrow. We lost my sister 2 weeks ago and it wasn’t expected but i can’t cope with the amount I have to at this moment in time. She has been cremated as per her wishes & she is interred into a cairn ( google it, they are beautiful piles of stones). She has a tree planted for her also). I am running away to a cottage/lodge this weekend for 2 weeks to rest, then when back have the hard task of emptying their home when back. Thank you for being unapologetically you & your wonderful family 🏴🏴
As a barber, I notice a lot of people changing their hairstyles in your vids, like Kellen when he always got a new design, Lexi braiding her hair, yours when u braid it or bun it and James changing his style as well. For mosquito season start taking Vitamin B-1, 30 days before they start emerging after the spring thaw, so get started and make late summer easier on Lexi. My former Cardiologist who spends about 6 weeks every year salmon fishing in AK. swears by it. Fortunately I live where we have no mosquitos.
