- This started as a bank robber in North Seattle. SPD located the get-away car on Southbound I5, just North of downtown and we assisted them with the pursuit, and arresting the occupants.
wow, that heat vision works great in the daytime.
Great job by KCS air and all officers involved.
These criminals also committed a federal crime by robbing a non-profit credit union (not a regular for-profit bank) that is owned by local working people! Let this be a lesson for those thinking of doing the same - Crime against the community does not pay!
they got out on plea deals thanks to liberal DA policies.
I am amazed at the image quality from these air units! What a fantastic tool for law enforcement!
Drones even more so. Not going to be following a car chase, but cheap to operate and easy for any cop to carry in their car. Obviously not going to have the kind of equipment a helicopter does, but way more convenient 🤷♂️ starting to see a lot more of these videos with drones being used though. Oh and you can even send it inside.
Awesome video and great police work! Thanks so much for posting these videos, nice editing too!
outstanding work!
👏🏻 Great job guys! And whoever edited the video, this was the best one yet! Not too long, not too short, great action.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
i heard the Mom/ grandmom come screaming out of Garden Pointe Apartments, "They have a gun to his head!" over and over and jumped into a red van and drove off. The kid was trying to cut through the fenceline (that i have to continuously keep repairing even though the damn apartments owns it!) at the dead end at SW 2nd ave. You can see the dead end in the top-left of the video at 9:05-9:10. That fenceline connects directly to the back of garden pointe apartments.
Kids with more great idea's...'Lets rob a bank!' I know one of them was thinking this wasn't a good idea.
Please post more videos. We love it
At the end of the clip the officer did a very good job of guarding an umbrella. He adopted a very professional and threatening pose. The umbrella must have been petrified. Should have arrested it.
They need to tack on a mandatory 3-5 years for aggressive eluding. Obviously, the punishments for burglary is not enough, nor stealing cars etc.
Drones with this technology are out now and the quality will equal this soon providing even small departments access to this amazing technology.
Sweet !!!👍👍
The driver was trying to seem more dangerous than he was so maybe they would call off the pursuit. He probably heard about the recent "no pursuit" rule change. But that doesn't apply to banks they are number one priority.
at 11:06 you can see a person in the yard when the car pulls up. At 11:54 you can see the police arresting that person, then at 12:38 they say they arrested the passenger. I sure hope that person that was there before the car arrived did not get mixed up in this mess. I understand that it is a complex situation, but a innocent person should never have to prove their innocence.
holy crap!!! that was the white center heights park bridge! i work in that park!
Very professional pursuit and subsequent arrest. Different outcome if you live outside the USA
Glad they arrested him finally! It was a squad effort. And it was like watching an action trailer played out in real life. Happened right in my neighborhood.
They went right passed my house at 124th and ambaum. Watched them go by from my balcony
@@prtywgn84 Wow! I wish I was on your balcony in that moment! I own a drone and probably would chase him in sport mode. Apparently, he endangered a lot of people's lives while "trying" to escape from authorities.
@@kristynguyen452 i spent about half hour last night trying to find out what was going on. Wasnt until this morning when i found an article and this video did i know they were chasing bank robbers. Seriously crazy. My 2yo wanted to stay on the balcony cause it was almost non stop sirens for like 2 hours last night between the chase and other ems units doing their thing
Is this a chopper or drone?
👍
The colors of the buildings are obnoxious. Who decided the theme for the neighborhood should be "Melted Crayola"?
An early 2000s Kia spectra is probably the worst possible getaway car of all time.. lol
And these guys just decide to drive around randomly in the same car they used to rob the bank with...? Genius
jesse basler, i watched one where the L.A. county was chasing a car jacking suspect in a Toyota Prius yellow taxi cab. nothing conspicuous about that
moral of the story for intelligence challenged bank robber: you can run but cannot hide under an overturned hot tub when big brother has eyes in the sky.
Um he could have kicked out the wood to hid from the copper but he's dumber then our president so
Should have stuck to the trees
@@MrPootzen yes a varry good idea with that camera it's like they aren't aware that police are good at tracking you when there's a helicopter in the sky
@@MrPootzen yes. one of the reasons he was challenged.
Not at all impressed with the quality of much of the video but pleased to see the SPD got their man.
They obviously had a tracker in the money yeah?
Maaaybe. Not all bank branches have em. The track packs don't always make their way into the loot, activation can be hit-or-miss too.
@@hatchetation was just wondering how they spotted that car on 1-5. Needle in a haystack.
@@AyayronBalakay officers were waiting on the ramps after the robbery and spotted it.
I went to school with the kid under the hot tub lol
Love how the cop points the gun at the thing he was hiding under. He just wants to shoot something, hoping someone would pop out.
Guardian 1 definitely didn't get enough sleep the night before. Geez that was the worst one I have seen yet. Could not keep track of the chase or any single person in it. Geez I have seen Guardian 1 in previous videos sniff out and track down guys trying to hide under dirt in the pitch dark. This time you lost someone in broad daylight. Its ok, we all have our off days.
They could save a lot of taxpayer money if they switched to drones
drones have a limited range from the remote and limited battery power
@@jimsmith9819 I don't mean the toy drones from the Walmart. I mean a predator drone like the Air Force uses. They can stay in the air for 40 hours.
Terrible tracking, always stay ON the driver, poor audio too!
Slave active? I can't believe they're using slaves 😳 what was the slave actively doing?
