After watching Alhambra PD's lack of response yesterday with the stolen white truck that area will now be a hotbed for stolen vehicle criminals now
Have you been to Alhambra? It's a lot of small streets and near a valley/hill. Leaving him alone was really the best choice and they actually ended up leaving undercover police officers up to it.
That's a lie. Many city's aren't allowed to do high speed pursuits unless the person committed a violent felony like murder or attempted murder. It's about public safety.

Well it's obvious where to go if you want to joyride in a stolen vehicle. And if you get caught you'll be back on the street the next day.

Scary dealing with nuts in a heavy duty traffic.
The LAPD has to stop these chases quick. The longer they go on, the higher the risk for the public. I am one of them. It's very sickening to watch long chases that result in accidents, injury and worse. We in L.A. pay very high taxes. Part of those taxes pay for police. The LAPD must start doing a better job on the roads. We pay to be better protected than this.
Imagine getting paid to chase and commentate police chases , definition of a dream job

As retired law enforcement I get frustrated watching California officers not do their job but then I realize that California is so "pro criminal" that the offender is released before the officer finishes his paperwork. No incentive to make arrests
I have heard so many stories of releases or bail being offered. I know the cops are confident they will catch bail-jumpers.
