That's an excellent video my friend! Thumbs up!! Thanks!!! ..miss the good old days of aviation diversity, colourful liveries, British airliners and solid metal!!!
Great Video, thank you. I was cabin crew on One elevens, not for Euroscot, they sounded a great airline. It was with BA out of BHX in the 1980's... fantastic aircraft, a really lovely bird, she was! Thank you for this!
@@markotango54 Oh yes, very pleasant memories. I do remember later on in the flight moving as my Grandad got a bit tired of the noise xD.. Yes, the 1-11 holds a special place in my heart, First plane I ever flew on, would have been about 7 years old back then.
@@Vanadeo My first ever flight was on a 111 too, July 1970 Manchester to Ibiza, Dan Air and the next year to Rhodos on a Laker 111 so a 111 is also very close to my heart too, for the flight in the video l got up at silly O'clock on the Saturday morning, drove from Manchester up to Edinburgh to fly down Bournemouth and the next evening flew back up to Edinburgh to drive back down to Manchester all in weekend and back to work on the Monday morning
Also loved the 1-11. I was cabin crew for Monarch, Birmingham European and Maersk Air as BA franchise all on the 1-11 among others including the 720B. Happy days!
I did go on one of these but don’t remember the experience as I was only about 4. I have a picture of me being carried down the steps of Dan Air BAC1-11 by my grandad 🙂
What a landing!! Set her down ever so gently, with minimal bleed-off/“floating.” RAF, no doubt - or at the very least, real old-school fliers (unlike so many of today’s computer-watchers).
Wow! This video is brilliant! I'm a massive fan of the BAC 1-11 and Euroscot. This video is just perfect. Go back then you had BAC 1-11s, Air UK BAe 146s and British Midland 737-300s. It's all different now. Do you have any more videos on this?
Me too ! Went up over the wash, over Duxford, and back down into Luton, not the best final flight, as some went out of Bournemouth performing a touch and go at jersey. We're you in the photo at the end ?
I was cabin crew on the 1-11-510, -537, -539 and the -400 with BA. Loved every second. Happy days on a wonderful British jet.

I was fortunate to sit in the same spot in 1995 on an EAL 1-11.. Them engine noises bring back memories.
Pleasant memories l hope? I sat back there deliberately, l loved those glorious Speys 🎶

What a beautiful sound of engines!
Great footage! I wish the BAC 1-11s were still about awesome sound.

Happy memories Peter. Lovely aircraft to work on. It brings it all back to me and I bet to you too....
Good video mate, lovely loud and smoky old bird.
They just sound like proper planes don't they!!
The budgies were so loud. They were fantastic planes.
Budgies were 748's.
