Soy "adulto": Peso 80Kg y mido 1.80 mts...Voy muy comodo, en carretera, incluso manejo por las veredas con suma cautela. Probé maxima velocidad con mi velocímetro nuevo y marcó 40 Km/h (25 millas/h) varias veces acelerando (!). Aun no pruebo la duración de la Batería, pero segun características impresas dice 40 minutos de autonomía (segun tus comentarios, equivalente entre 8 y 11 millas (13 Km y 18 Km) (?)

      No. Often misunderstood, voltage has nothing to do with the motor. This is a 2000w motor that just happens to come with a 48v kit i started with before I changed the battery and controller to 72v. A more ideal motor with the set up is a 3,000w my1020 though

  • @helicrashpro

    I'm guessing without a heat sink you're 100% going to smoke that motor, particularly without a temp sensor running a 14t (?) pinion. The heat sink from E&C is kind of pricy but well worth it.

    • @PatOutdoors
      @PatOutdoors  Рік тому +2

      Yes, likely will happen in the long run. I'm using a 13-tooth sprocket and the Kunray MY1020 has an internal fan and the end cap holes have all been drilled out for additional ventilation. Whenever it goes, I will simply just change out for the EC4P motor upgrade.

    • @helicrashpro
      @helicrashpro Рік тому

      @@PatOutdoors I only got to 44 MPH (flat strip) with a 14 tooth, surprising you hit 50 on a 13t. I was riding for about an hour and fried the motor with that setup. Kelly controller from E&C, Kunray MY1020 72v 3000W, street tires on stock rims, stock rear sprocket. FYI the MY1020 motor has no internal fan. I know because I have taken one apart. The EC4P seems like a solid option. Wish it was available.

      Thanks! The KVD has an adjustable "max battery current" that is adjustable through the android app. I believe the standard setting from E&C is 33% to protect the battery. I just discovered this yesterday while I'm diagnosing my 52V bike build (which also has a 50 amp BMS) and finally got a bluetooth dongle. So far so good, but I'm likely turning it down a bit to protect the battery.

      The battery size is 20AH “amp hour”. The battery management system (bms) rated power output is 100 amp peak (short bursts), but can sustain 50 amp continuously. The controller is rated up to 200 amp, but will only deliver what the battery can provide.

    Why do you get a 2000w motor for a 72v battery? Isn’t a 72v battery supposed to run on a 3000w motor?

    • @PatOutdoors
      @PatOutdoors  Рік тому +1

      I did this build in stages since I was on a budget and couldn't afford a 72V battery and Kelly controller in the beginning. It was running with 48V in the past. I upgrade piece by piece till I got the speed I was targeting for educational purposes. I'm planning on replacing the motor with an 11KW EC4P motor anyway when this Kunray MY1020 eventually fails. I did a 36 mile ride in it a few weeks ago and doing another tomorrow, so far so good..

      @@Mark_kuk21 Still performs like it did a year ago. I had issues with my previous BTR 48V pack, but not the 72V. You can get a generic chinese brushless controller like Cozyel, but it does not put out anywhere close to as much power as a Kelly.
