  • We Convert The Rear Of A 2014 VW Caddy. Full Silent Coat Sound Deadening, Thermo Liner, Ply, Carpet Lining and Premium LED Lighting
    In today's video we show the various different stages of a VW Caddy owned and loved by ‪@Bodyboard-depot‬ having our Premium Rear Comfort Lining Package installed. Through the video we show and explain the different stages of the conversion.
    We start off by removing the existing ply lining and fully clean out the rear metal work to give us the best adhesion possible.
    Next up we full sound-deaden the rear with Silent Coat 2mm Sheets. Once the deadening has been done we added in a layer of DoDo ThermoLiner to help give extra sound and heat insulation.
    Once all of the above is done, we install some new ply lining cut specifically to the VW Caddy and lay a "4-Way Stretch" Anthracite Carpet on all the panels. The Roof is then covered in a Light Grey OEM Headlining Cloth to match the front interior and to allow for a bit of contrast. We then installed 6 Premium LED Spotlights with their own High Quality Switch.
    We finished the flooring with a Black Sparkle Vinyl floor to really set it all off.

    Instead of ordering side trim
    You can cut the edges of the bulkhead and bolt back in place. Saves money and time

    Great finish....but why didn’t you show the work being done from start to finish?...it literally went from sound deadening being fitted to the finished product in a second. Really would of liked to of seen the whole start to finish procedure....

      If they showed everyone how to do it step by step then they probably wouldn't have much of a business

    Very nice job done to a very high standard there James. Maybe also consider adding the hansshow tesla model 3 trunk and frunk kit mods to you portfolio since there are no installers in this area :)

    Hi, I have vw caddy, done a similar conversion myself, I can’t find the pillar trims to cover the bulkhead gaps around edges, do u know where I can buy them can’t seem to find them anywhere?

    So how much do you really loose on having two large windows non-insulated in a small space like this, is it even worth insulating at all if you don't insulate it all? I mean in a house with single layer windows you can feel the cold from 2m away.

    At first, I would put mineral wool and foam in. To isolate the car, to keep warm or cool.
    And this can reduce noise too.
    And after this, I would mount the aluminium foil.

    • @pete801
      @pete801 2 роки тому +1

      100%. Mineral wool makes so much difference. Makes the build more difficult for these guys though. This job probably took them half a day and cost thousands to the customer

    • @sunnymas2656
      @sunnymas2656 2 роки тому

      @@pete801 I got many glas wool for free, from my neighbours. When their house project has finished.
      And over 30 styrofoam panels from another house project. And big foam wrap rolls cheap from a company, who sells material for packing products for transportation.
      But I know, that prices are in GB a bit higher, as here in Germany. If you buy something.
      But I look allways for other ways, to buy it cheaper.

    • @sunnymas2656

      @@pete801 i had too often too cold in my life.
      So I need a diesel heater, and a good warm isolation in my minicamper van.
      I heard from many owners, that the vw caddy is very good and reliable.
      Many bought them used from the german post company.
      The german post buy his cars cheaper, with a huge discount. Because he order so many.
      But with his own leasing company.
      So they safe more money by his less tax payment. Because leasing.
      After three years the leasing contract is over, and they sell it to everybody.
      But price 5.000 pounds each car, but in good condition.

    • @AdvancedInCarTechnologies
      @AdvancedInCarTechnologies  2 роки тому

      Yes you're totally right, we don't price anything on Social Media or UA-cam videos!
      This is because every vehicle is different, may require more or less of certain elements. As such we work all pricing out that is specific to the vehicle and the customer requirement.
      We also have to remember the cost of materials and products go up all the time. If we say it costs X amount and somebody says in a few years time, "Well you said it was X Amount" those prices aren't relevant any more!
      If we do a job, we do it properly from start to finish and this includes the initial first contact!
      If you're serious and interested in getting your vehicle done, get in touch with us through the main website on the listing below and we can work it all out.

      One of more popular videos which has generated a lot of conversions so it can't be that bad. I think in this industry you get what you pay for. Buy cheap buy twice...
