Scott Gorham...such a guitar legend. Glad to see him here on UA-cam in 2024!! What a rock n roll survivor. Great interview. Always love to hear his stories. So looking forward to his BOOK!
I Saw Thin Lizzy Open For Queen On Feb. 10, 1977 At The Providence Civic Center Here In My State Capitol, Providence R.I. & They Were Incredible. Seeing Them At 14 Years Old Shaped My Lifelong Musical Taste Buds. R.I.P. Phil Lynott & Gary Moore !!!
I love Scott he is such a great guy he is always positive and ready to go......and he survived and beat heroin addiction "no small thing believe me" he is a great rhythm and lead player.....I grew up listening thin lizzy and they are still among my top three bands.
Great clip, Eamon. Scott comes across as a modest gent in spite of his great success. I love the topic of art as an intuitive rather than something formal & academic...Daniel Day-Lewis, for example, if he wasn't a great actor, I sense he'd be a skilled sculptor or writer. Gorham's free form, graphic art reminds me of Billy Connolly's work. I wish the brilliant, but troubled Robbo's tenure with Thin Lizzy was longer, but Scott did amazing work taking on all the responsibility on that great 'Bad Reputation' album...
That's their best album IMO although sometimes it gets overlooked. Kind of get tired of hearing about Jailbreak and L&D all the time. Lizzy were so so much more...
His history speaks for itself...watching his growth over all the years was cool. Glad to see the art stuff, too.Congrats on the recovery, most dont get out. 70's Lizzy were unbeatable...👍
Scott Gorham has been my 2nd fave player for years after Dave Gilmour ,as both play so melodically and have perfect phrasing! I think I saw the recent remasters of Sabbath Tony Martin era on your shelf? good interview Slainte! 👍
Congratulations Best interview with Scott Ive seen in years. Too many interviews are so so predictable.... I just hope whatever he does he DOESNT call Thin Lizzy....Play the songs...but don't call it Thin Lizzy..
