Also, and just as important, Geezer was the lyricist on this and the rest of the album. Not to mention most of Sabbaths songs. An unsung hero in some respects. And of course, a monster bass player!
Ozzy use to live down the road from me in Aston,Birmingham,England i use to see him regular at the cafe in Witton ,spoke to him many times ,at the time a very talented guy who invented metal.
One of my favorite Black Sabbath songs! The first one I"learned" how to "play"! That whole opening thing reminds me of an evil spider crawling along a wall to get you!
Wow India Reacts, another Sabbath tune! This was an awesome one. Gloomy, doomy, slow, and so heavy. Kind of an end of the world dystopian theme to this one. The tuning of the bass and guitar sounds deliberately just a bit flat and that keeps that low, dark sound so strong. Not only are Sabbath metal pioneers, they were really the first big metal band and could probably lay claim to inventing the genre. This song was really ahead of its time. Very classic, very old school, very heavy, and just an awesome tune!
After Forever, Wicked World, Hand of Doom, Snowblind, Under the Sun, Symptom of the Universe, Children of the Grave, Black Sabbath, NIB, Electric Funeral.....I can go on....
Love this song. Probably my favorite Sabbath track. That groove just kills (as I'm sure your neck can attest to!) and Geezer Butler's cosmic lyrics are so poetic 🤘
This was from like 1971 Black Sabbath. Still in the Cold War, but just after the moon landing... so I imagine they're talking about nukes? But man, EARLY Ozzy going on here. For more Sabbath, would check out their Paranoid Album; War Pigs, Paranoid, & Iron Man on the A side -- all very tasty jams.
I was 12 when this album came out. My friends sister introduced Sabbath & Zeppelin to me and I've been hooked ever since. I blew off The Osmonds and other pop musicians of that era and never looked back. I owned every Sabbath album that was made. Quite a collection thru my teens. The same with Zeppelin. 2 of my favorite groups ever. Raised my son's with this music which inspired my eldest to play guitar. 👍 Love my Ozzy, Tony Iommi, Plant & Page. 🎵🎶🎸🥁🎙🎼🎛🎤
Yes, it's a science fiction song. Based on doom and gloom prophecies going on at the time. In the early 1970s, many scientists spoke of a new ice age, and overpopulation woes.
The Godfathers of Metal and one of my favorite bands of all time! Checkout these masterpieces... Snowblind, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, Sweet Leaf, Children of the Grave, NIB, Fairies Wear Boots, War Pigs, Symptom of the Universe, Electric Funeral, Killing Yourself to Live, Wicked World.... I could go on and on....these classics are a good place to start!!!
This one song from three about space traveling which I hearing in my life. The other two it`s Europe - The final countdown and Земляне - Трава у дома (translation from Russian: Earthlings - grass near the house).
Detuned rock guitars more or less start here - initially because guitarist Tony Iommi (who had missing fingertips) was forced to slacken his strings in order to play without being left in agony. Which, in itself, sounds like something Sabbath could have made a song out of.
I think it's about the dichotomy between the maned moon missions and the Vietnam war. It was the early 70's. Sabbath has always been one of my favorite bands. I'm glad to see young folks listening to the greats...:)
LMAO, i remember my dad in the eighties, playing sabbath full blast and i would go and ask him to turn it down only to find him dancing around drunk and in his underwear, still have nightmares to this day, if i listen to Sabbath, which sucks because they were pretty good. I truly think he was channeling Ozzy Ozborn.
Hello Again India!! Great Tune And Great Album you're covering!! At My 58 year old age, Loved This Album BUT, Gotta Check Out My 2 Favorite Songs On Masters Of Reality WITH LYRICS!! "AFTER FOREVER ", and "CHILDREN OF THE GRAVE "!!!!!!!! Very Deep!!
Do War Pigs from Black Sabbath's Paranoid album. Anti-war. Great heavy sound. Energy. Or do Paranoid. Can't remember if you've done either of these. This is Black Sabbath at their best!
The funny thing about this song is that I've always thought these people fleeing to other worlds will screw those up, because of the same crap that got them into trouble in the first place . We're only human.
If you're in a heavy metal kind of mood you may want to try Blue Oyster Cult - Black Blade. It will frighten your poster though, so you may want to cover it up or something.
Rocket engines burning fuel so fast up into the night sky they blast... what you read didn’t sound like these lyrics. I’m OCD like that. There are so many incorrect lyric sheets out there
Can we take just a moment and salute the greatness that is Geezer Butler?
Also, and just as important, Geezer was the lyricist on this and the rest of the album. Not to mention most of Sabbaths songs. An unsung hero in some respects. And of course, a monster bass player!
Indeed!!!
@@motocommando2477 A continued representation of his unsung (or in this case, sung) greatness. Thank you.
good lord, yes.
Oh yes pussycat, keep it comin! Sabbath, fk yeah! But you gotta hear Lord of this World.
Been listening to Sabbath for 40 years...Never gets old!
We're the ones getting old.
@@Michael_Dolences. lol. Yup
Since 1981 here. When I was 5.
I can see why Sabbath is a classic band. I’m 14 and all my friends call me an oldie cause I listen to this stuff.
@@makkapakkalolz COOL! Try MOTORHEAD next!
That whole album basically gave birth to Doom Metal as a style. So sludgy and thick yet mellow
And stoner rock 🥰 Masters of Reality
Classic, vintage, old school Black Sabbath.
1971. Sound still holds up against the new highly electronically enhanced music of today.
Children of the grave- my queen you wont be disappointed🤘
Definitely one of Sabbath's best. Perfect structure and musical talent.
Geezer is a genius lyricist. His lyrics add such a haunting atmosphere that fits the music perfectly.
I'm a black man myself 43 years old and I appreciate the younger generation learning about classic rock and roll.
Me too.
Ozzy use to live down the road from me in Aston,Birmingham,England i use to see him regular at the cafe in Witton ,spoke to him many times ,at the time a very talented guy who invented metal.
Snow blind, children of the grave,NIB just to get you started my my beautiful queen.
Their song "Snow Blind" or Hole In The Sky
HEAVY lyrics , and METAL sounds used to express ideas and emotions in a non commercial format . Thats something I've always appreciated about them
One of my favorite Black Sabbath songs! The first one I"learned" how to "play"! That whole opening thing reminds me of an evil spider crawling along a wall to get you!

Black sabbath - a national acrobat , spiral architect or wheels of confusion
Watching your face melt to one of the greatest metal songs ever was priceless.
INDIA'S ROCKINNNNN SOME SABBATHHHHH, YEAHHHHH BABYYYYYY!!! LOL :)
It's actually about space
This song is an absolute masterpiece
You’re close. The earth wasn’t taken over, it was destroyed.
pollution kills the air, the land and sea...
I was 12 when this album came out. My friends sister introduced Sabbath & Zeppelin to me and I've been hooked ever since. YOU'RE DOING SOME SABBATH GIRL, COOL COOL COOL!!! LOL :) OH YEAH, YOU DID THE WIZARD WITH OZZY ON THE HARMONICA?
THANK YOU VERY MUCH. This is one of my favorite Sabbath songs.
Great reaction....off this album you gotta ready to Sweet Leaf, Lord of This World, After Forever, & Children of the Grave...all classic 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Awesome guitar mastery by Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler, always a great sound.
Yes, it's a science fiction song. Based on doom and gloom prophecies going on at the time. In the early 1970s, many scientists spoke of a new ice age, and overpopulation woes.
one of black sabbaths best songs
one of the best rhythm sections in rock

Black Sabbath is the definition of Metal as they should. They started it!
That Deep Dark Blues Bottom is the perfect canvas for Ozzy's High Voice!
I love Sabbath!
The Godfathers of Metal and one of my favorite bands of all time! Checkout these masterpieces... This and Sabotage are my two favorite Sabbath albums.....both have very different feels, but both are incredible.
This one song from three about space traveling which I hearing in my life. The other two it`s Europe - The final countdown and Земляне - Трава у дома (translation from Russian: Earthlings - grass near the house).
Saw Sabbath in 1978 (with Ozzy, Never Say Die tour). Opening was a fresh band that just dropped their first album. Van Halen.
Awesome analysis India..ty
Awesome stuff. Saw these guys back in '78 time frame. Wish I could remember it. Fortunately I saw them again in 2016.
One of the heaviest songs ever written. And it's over 50 years old!
OH YEAH! Please give us "Sweet Leaf" also from Masters of Reality. ❤😎
Sweet leaf is one of my altimeter favorite BS songs. Master of reality is great thru and thru.

Planet caravan is the next in que please. Love your videos and your reactions.keep up the great work.
Early Sabbath are a heavy jazz combo
Usually when I see these reaction videos, they pick the hit singles. Great job picking this one. Close to the best Sabbath song written.
Leaving earth...nuclear holocost? Listen to this again...
I'd love to see you do 'Sabbath Bloody Sabbath' one of their best.
Very Deep!!
Black Sabbath. Yes.
I really dig that Alice in Wonderland image.
And this song is just so badass.
I hope who you wash your ears before listen this timeless anthem pure of gold \m/
True Metal!
I love her reactions.
Yes my girl im bout to jump into this..... Ty✌
I found a Christine Condition LP still sealed from the 1969 original album but printed in 72, at a garage sale for $40. Best decision in my life.
O cabelo é bem estiloso..... amei!
Great faces as these guys drag you down into the GUNK!
My favorite Ozzy era Sabbath song \m/
Loving the sabbath have you done Fairies Wear Boots, or Electric Funeral, I think you did War Pigs?
Check out Black Sabbath by Black Sabbath from their debut album Black Sabbath
Do War Pigs from Black Sabbath's Paranoid album. Anti-war. Great heavy sound. Energy. Or do Paranoid. Can't remember if you've done either of these. This is Black Sabbath at their best!
brownie1341 no way are they at there best in paranoid. Massively overrated and nowhere near as complex as there other masterpieces
E a qualidade do som é excelente!
Nice one. Love your hair too.
I'd love to see you react N.I.B
Now you know who started metal
First reviewer to actually listen to the song without pausing it every 5 seconds
Tony Iommi is the FUEL and Geezer is the High Test to boost the rockets !
Black Sabbath "Iron Man" -- the long version...
what is "the long version"? studio album version, or something live you are referring to? there never was a shortened radio version
Favorite sabbath song!
Fucking Ozzy man.... sounds sooooo good
Poor girl looks like she's gonna burst into tears at any moment😂
Você é muito simpática!
Love the Sabbath!
I don't always listen to sabbath oh hell what am I saying,I always listen to sabbath an so do my neighbors
Check out "Who Are You?" from Sabbath Bloody Sabbath and "War Pigs" from Paranoid
The Geezer rules the bass.
The funny thing about this song is that I've always thought these people fleeing to other worlds will screw those up, because of the same crap that got them into trouble in the first place . We're only human.
Classic Iommi over the top lead riff. Sounds like Sabbath Bloody Sabbath.
If you want to go way down the heavy metal hole, check out the Norwegian band Mayhem! ua-cam.com/video/VhVmpuwsRjU/v-deo.html
Great song!!
This song is too fun
hand of doom next please
The one where they invented speed 🤘etal in the breakdown...
Spiral City Architect
If you're in a heavy metal kind of mood you may want to try Blue Oyster Cult - Black Blade. It will frighten your poster though, so you may want to cover it up or something.
"Dominance/Submission" or "ETI" "Stairway to the Stars" oh there's so much down Buck Dharma's rabbit hole!
Rocket engines burning fuel so fast up into the night sky they blast... what you read didn’t sound like these lyrics. I’m OCD like that. There are so many incorrect lyric sheets out there
