Sometimes a middle of the zone fastball at 98 mph can be next to impossible to hit if you are expecting a breaking ball. Brown had some movement on that fastball making it harder than it looks. The best hitters can turn consistently on those fastballs but it’s tougher for others. Brown has been pitching well lately so it’s not just a bad Mariners offense.
I'd honestly way rather have that because there's still some real excitement watching sluggers like Jay Buhner hitting homeruns and putting the ball in play. Moonshots are way more exciting than watching a really good pitcher strikeout the opposing team IMO.

Why not change out the hitting coach? Whatever philosophy they’re trying to relay is not working. We were supposed to cut down strikeouts, not increase them this year. I’ve been a big Servais supporter for years but sadly, I think his tenure is up.
They arent taxing any pitchers either, straight heat down the middle, no battles, no increased pitch count other than because of the amount of strikeouts anyway. Hideous offense and I saw this in the offseason and thought I was taking crazy pills with these additions that people said should have us at around league average. Like, what universe are you living in where you get a platoon player like Garver and think, yea this is the answer? There is no way those moves should have been deemed acceptable and it shows just why that is right now.

To be fair Strider, Degrom and many other top end starters throw middle middle often and get swing and misses. Brown has great horizontal action on his 4 seamer
I don't think you understand how loyal the Seattle fan base is to their sports, even when they are bad, resulting in fans still going to games and ownership making tons of money whether they spend money on the players or not. It's the same thing year in and year out here. I hate the ownership and they need to give the team more money to spend, but they never will. It's a horrible spot to be in as a fan.
At least you guys have a ballpark that can be climate controlled when it gets cold in the very early or very late parts of the season, and hitters love playing there and hit a lot of homeruns! T-Mobile Park, while still absolutely beautiful and a great place to watch a game, is the most extreme of extreme pitchers parks, and the marine layer from the nearby Puget Sound knocks what would be homeruns down to instead be caught at the warning track over and over. And since the park is non enclosable and non climate controlled, you have to deal with that shit all season long. I'd WAY rather have a ballpark like Rogers Centre that can be completely enclosed to negate weather like wind and marine layers.

And I’m from Washington state too. But this damn team reminds me of the Dallas cowboys. Someway. Somehow. They are going to let you down. They could be up 15 games leading in the division entering September, then in the first week of October they’ll be in third place in the division. That is why I am not a Manures fan.
Besides Julio Rodriguez, who is any good in the lineup. Kyle Lewis didn't pan out,Jared Kelenic got away to the Braves. Might be the worst lineup in baseball!
Its Pathetic I've made a few comments on youtube months ago how they are not doing anything this year without fixing the offense and they clearly are not just gonna get better. I don't think trade will do it either and sadly I'm not sure 2 players will do it. I think they need 3 players the offense is really that bad and maybe Dipoto knows that and doesn't want to trade away all our top prospects. There is no guarantees we do anything this year even if we do make trades so its a tough call trading away the farm.
As a Mariners fan of over 25 years i can honestly say this team is cursed. Nothing works in their favor and they are always on the wrong side of history. Signing Julio to all that money was another mistake in a long line of them.
Time to boycot games if Dipoto and ownership does not do anything significant by the deadline. We fans deserve better. Ownership only thinks of the business side of things and don't care about winning. Screw Stanton and Dipoto!

Having a terrible offense that strikes out a ton is the most boring baseball to watch ever.
Thanks to ownership never trying to make the team better. Whoever drafts for them sucks and need to be fired. But i'd still wrather watch them then the whitesox or anyother crappy team.
Ticket sales aren't really where teams make the big money that's why they don't get better players to get more butts in the seats. It's all about the TV deals and revenue share. I would bet ownership would rather not have fans in the stadium at all.
YEs, all the losers on the bandwagon after going up 10 games... after beating the A's and Whitesox/Angels... I was like uh, guys, they suck, look at their run differential.
The Mariners are the "most unwatchable team" in 2024? I'd like to hear the White Sox fans respond to this comment. After tonight's 10-0 trouncing the White Sox are on a pace to go 41-121.
It's an investment that the investors can control. They can decide what their profits are. It's a game played neck deep in capitalism like everything else.
It's not really their fault; the M's have been mostly mediocre to terrible for most of their existence. Success is fleeting. For decades, they've been conditioned by so many poor performances by the players and front office that they expect failure and to wait for next year.

These pitchers are not going to stick around when they continue to get no run support. We are wasting this amazing staff. It's truly, disgusting.
Couldn’t agree more who would want to pitch for this team
@@gamefacesports6704 Yankees or dodgers will go after gilbert.
And Skinflint Stanton will trade half of the team away, crying poverty all the while.
New ownership!!
They’re a very frustrating team to watch. I’m an O’s fan, and generally, by the end of April I know if it’ll be a season I should pay attention or a season I should just wait for football to start in August. But this damn team. And I’m from Washington state too. But this damn team reminds me of the Dallas cowboys. Someway. Somehow. They are going to let you down. They could be up 15 games leading in the division entering September, then in the first week of October they’ll be in third place in the division. That is why I am not a Manures fan.
Is it possible the team, the players, the on field managers are tanking on purpose??
They have been unwatchable for 3 years.
I would just like to start a sell the team campaign
Besides Julio Rodriguez, who is any good in the lineup.
Kyle Lewis didn't pan out,Jared Kelenic got away to the Braves.
Might be the worst lineup in baseball!
Julio is not good…
@EnjoyerofMiserableMarinersBsbl fr he's overrated now
Its Pathetic I've made a few comments on youtube months ago how they are not doing anything this year without fixing the offense and they clearly are not just gonna get better. I don't think trade will do it either and sadly I'm not sure 2 players will do it. I think they need 3 players the offense is really that bad and maybe Dipoto knows that and doesn't want to trade away all our top prospects. There is no guarantees we do anything this year even if we do make trades so its a tough call trading away the farm.
this team is miserable to watch. these guys get paid millons to play baseball and there playing like a single A team such a disappointment
As a Mariners fan of over 25 years i can honestly say this team is cursed. Nothing works in their favor and they are always on the wrong side of history. Signing Julio to all that money was another mistake in a long line of them.
Sell the team
That’s truly the best option at this point idk if it’s ever gonna happen though
Being an Astros fan let me tell you, it takes heart and a will to want it. You need a few strong leaders, seem like they don't have that.
And some trash cans.
Wow , after all these years you still cry about that. All the teams were cheating even yours. Move on bro. We won a WS after that.
All our leaders are on the IL
Time to boycot games if Dipoto and ownership does not do anything significant by the deadline. We fans deserve better. Ownership only thinks of the business side of things and don't care about winning. Screw Stanton and Dipoto!
The owners need to sell the M’s to someone that actually loves the M’s. Oh, and it’s overdue that both DiPoto and Servais need to be fired!
Get a new hitting coach and right side second first and right field . Try this if your to cheap to pay, moore right and bliss second bring lock back to first
did someone bury a billy goat under home plate and no one told us about it? It hurt more in 2001 when the dream Team M's blew it.
Long time mariner fan here, I am NOT hiving them a penny until i see they spend money for hitters like Soto Vlad jr or otani
Don't discount the Astros Hunter Brown beening on a tear as well as the Astros having the most wins the last 2 months in all of baseball.
They will be 10 games behind within 2 weeks!
This team needs a different owner as well as front office personnel! They aren’t interested in winning any kind of championship, they are only interested in making money without the investment!. The first avenue group sucks!
Seattle lucked out in the sixth inning against Houston on sunday.
Rojas is so garbage and people keep defending his "hot start" hes a triple a player and garvers overpaid trash
He is 19th in the MLB in defensive WAR, so I wouldn't say garbage.
The cubs are right up there right now…
Lol the Astros weren't quite as dead as everyone thought
Fr they just came alive and that was what the mariners weren't prepared for plus Scott is getting nightmares abt the Astros again and someone said in 2 or 3 years Ron Washington will turn the angels looks like it starting to happen with the angels so
Y'all know the astros have like 7 major league ready outfielders right? let us have some pitching... please?
Thanks Mariners for holding the Astros familiar spot atop the AL West while they got right. Boogeyman is only going to get stronger
It’s the cubs for me
10 game lead in mid June. Gone.
for starters they havent been hitting very well but there fielding has been good the thing that kills em is the injuries and scott he needs to be fired
As an Ms fan this is normal trash for Seattle.
Here’s the solution, stop watching. Ever since they leaked the zoom meeting I haven’t watched a single game. Used to watch or listen to every single game, since that leaked meeting not even one. And it’s awesome, so much aggravation out of my life
Their pitching is very watchable but I know what you mean
Julio Rodriguez is so overrated. Trade him now.
I don't know what's wrong, mitch Garver, supposed to be good, jrod, supposed to be mvp caliber, jp crawford, supposed to be good, polo, supposed to be a good 2nd basemen, luke, supposed to be good 20-20 player🙄🙄🙄😒I would kill for a average, AVERAGE offense, us m's fans aren't asking for them to be the orioles or Yankees or Phillies offense, just an average one
have u heard of the giants 😞
I'm a huge Mariners fan and I'm just so f*cking done with having pitiful pathetic offenses that can't score runs year after year.
At this point I'm so starving for offense and slugging that I'd rather the pitching be absolutely terrible and the offense be good so at least there's some excitement with putting the ball in play and hitting some moonshots!
Having a terrible offense that strikes out a ton is the most boring baseball to watch ever.
The Yankees are the most unwatchable game in sports
I disagree with you. Of course I’m an Astros fan.😂😂😂
Bad vibes since they let France go. France represents stability with the audience. Performance, well... The whole team is sucking.
I don't know many people who even bother watching baseball anymore
Thanks to ownership never trying to make the team better. Whoever drafts for them sucks and need to be fired. But i'd still wrather watch them then the whitesox or anyother crappy team.
Ticket sales aren't really where teams make the big money that's why they don't get better players to get more butts in the seats. It's all about the TV deals and revenue share. I would bet ownership would rather not have fans in the stadium at all.
YEs, all the losers on the bandwagon after going up 10 games... after beating the A's and Whitesox/Angels... I was like uh, guys, they suck, look at their run differential.
Play reflects management they look just like Scott when he played but they need to eat carrots 🥕
Throw the Yankees in this category too, they suck lol
The Mariners are the "most unwatchable team" in 2024? I'd like to hear the White Sox fans respond to this comment. After tonight's 10-0 trouncing the White Sox are on a pace to go 41-121.
It's an investment that the investors can control.
They can decide what their profits are.
It's a game played neck deep in capitalism like everything else.
All teams have ups and downs, so what.
Man this fanbase soft 😂
It's not really their fault; the M's have been mostly mediocre to terrible for most of their existence. Success is fleeting. For decades, they've been conditioned by so many poor performances by the players and front office that they expect failure and to wait for next year.
