The ONLY Knife I’ll Scout Carry | Gerber GHOST STRIKE Tactical Fixed-blade Knife

- Designed as a last resort self defence blade, the Ghost Strike is thin, light, compact, but still packs a punch where it counts.
It may have it’s limitations in prolonged use EDC and bushcraft tasks, but people still tend to love to to carry this low-profile tactical blade.

Still haven't gotten a ghost strike. Had a Bradford Guardian 3. Couldn't find a good way to carry it that was comfortable, and discreet. I sold it to get a TKell Knives Raider.
TKell Knives are nice,I had purchased his Striker and Guardian. The carry opinions are all nice.
I carry a TKELL Raider and I have a Striker on the way. Tim's knives are top of the line and the sheaths are the best.
Right on! TKell knives are definitely up my alley.
The ghost strike is wayyy lower profile than the G3, just for your reference.
I still love this knife despite the flaws. Being a petite female it's perfect. I have one, my husband has one and I bought a back up in case the sheath breaks as I have seen it as a common complaint in review pics. It's been discontinued 😢 I wish they had just tweaked a couple things like you said. I agree with your pros and cons. Anyway, great video. 🤘
Interesting knife.
This is a knife I have always looked at just never pulled the trigger on . I do scout carry a few knives I'm finally getting a bradford guardian 3.5 today .
Awesome! I’m sure that 3.5 will treat you well. Can’t wait to one day upgrade from the G3 I regret buying.
I have this knife and I completely agree with your review, but I can recommend the kizer harpoon fixed blade in D2 .
Nice! I’ve seen that one before but totally forgot about. Good suggestion 👌
I've had one my belt for about 3 years now. I ended up taking the rubber off the grip as it starts to come off from repeated use. I put a bit of hockey tape around the bottom of it so as to protect my finger when drawing. (Going to try a piece of suede or other leather soon)
I wear it horizontally over my belt buckle. Handle facing left. I use my right index and draw across the front of my body. Much less movement and way quicker.
I figured that in a heated situation where I have to draw it's more logical to have the outside of my arm in front of my body to protect from any incoming threat. Scout carry always seemed a bit impractical to me personally unless carrying a small machete or a larger fixed blade. Even then reaching back exposes vitals. Milliseconds matter.
Yes I have to take it out every time I go to the bathroom or take my pants off but it's worth the trade off. Also having a knife in your mouth at the urinal is quite the statement!!! I've taken it out of the sheath multiple times daily for almost 3 years now minus a couple sick days.
The sheath retention is still amazing!!!
End rant.
Always appreciate a good detailed rant with lots of personal anecdotes and details. Greatly appreciate it 🤙
Interesting knife I'm not sure a scout carry would be comfortable for me but very nice setup
Aside from a knife this small and slim, I honestly don’t know how it’s comfortable for anyone. Just a literal pain in the butt and back for me.
Please check out MDV plus one with Rihno Shealth from skallywag tactical. The Best EDC tactical fixed blade.
Heck yeah! I've seen similar custom designs similar to this but that's a solid price for such a decent little production knife. I'll keep my eyes open for one in the future, thanks for the suggestion.
The edge retention is the worst I've ever experienced.
