- Hello Everyone! Here is my Anime DVD and Blu-Ray collection!
It's been quite a while since I filmed a collection video so I hope you all enjoy it!

Pretty nice collection you got there. My husband and I have been watching and collecting anime for 17-20 years (17 for me and 20 for him) and it was nice to see some of the older, more obscure anime in a younger collection so kudos to you for that. And yes, my first buys were also VHS. I split the cost of a boxed set of Slayers (first season) that had volumes 5-8 in it with a friend because it was the only way to get volume 8 and the last three epic episodes of that season. Interesting video and I'll look forward to your next one.
Hate to tell you though, the third EVA movie - not good. It's my husband's favorite (mine is Slayers) and he was sorely disappointed. Hoping the 4th one is better.

I hide my collection in my room. I don't want my friends and family finding out I watch this stuff. Haha. I love Clannad so much, I imported the Blu Ray box sets for both seasons. Expensive as hell 😭
Wish I could display them some day without feeling shame. Lol.
The Evil Andross You should never feel ashamed of something you love! I remember when I first started collecting anime and my friends would make jabs at it, but when it's something you're passionate about and have a love for there's no reason to let anyone else's opinions matter. Now most of my friends watch anime too! Don't feel like you should hide something you love, you should help other people understand why you love it so much!

Honest Reviews Thanks! Yeah it definitely doesn't get this way over night. The important thing to remember is it takes time. Unless you have boat loads of money haha then you can have a collection in 2 weeks (or as fast as right stuff can ship haha)
@FanezeBrezy Outlaw Star is coming on Blu-ray as well as The Big O very soon. Wolf's Rain is also on Blu-Ray.

Fantastic Collection! I'm also a collector of anime and the last anime I bought two weeks ago was Ghost in the shell both seasons with the movie all I need is the Arises two movie/episodes. I have the original release of Outlaw Star Bandai release love that show got me into watching anime and collecting it. keep up the videos bro!

Well you see to be honest I never been to a anime convention before what should I do when I'm in a anime convention
I myself have not been lucky enough to go to an anime convention either. However I did go to Too Many Games a few months ago, and what I would suggest is to not try and do everything. Take a look at the schedule and pick out what you want to see/do the most. If you try and cram everything in you'll feel more rushed and won't be able to enjoy yourself. Most important is to remember to have fun!
Awesome anime collection bro, and like the titles you have as well. I want to check it out when they cry even though I heard it's crazy but interesting lol. I will show off my collection hopefully when I move back to my home town.

Colton Cherry I am disappointed that you don't have Kaiji, Akagi, Monster, and D.Gray-Man in your collection.
Very nice collection, very neat to see all the Anime Classics slipcovers all line up. Look at your collection. What makes you chose DVD over Blu-ray on series that are available in both formats separately. Such as most of your Sentai Filmworks series.
***** That's a good question, honestly it usually comes down to price. If the Blu-Ray version is 40, but the DVD version is 25, I'll buy the DVD version. Unless it's a show that I know will look vastly different. Obviously everything will look nicer on Blu-Ray, but if the difference is barely noticeable I'd rather get the cheaper version and be able to buy more
Great collection man. I really hope one of these anime company's will re-release Karin cause now that set have become so pricey.
rap5 Thanks :) I know what mean, a lot of the old geneon releases have sky rocketed in value. Unfortunately I think a lot of the licenses are stuck in limbo. I think funi will grab things up though when the opportunity arises. Thanks for subbing!

I checked out that anime When they cry and it is absolutely good... I mean oh my god. Its so good i tried looking it up online to see if i could buy it on dvd and the price for it ( some places ) sells it for close to 400 dollars, but luckily i've found one that is 103 it's the complete box set ( 6 ) disk. I hope i get the right one because there are two I've found out. The When they cry that u have and another that is made by i think.. Umineko.. I think, but u were right it is hard to find and when/if u find one it is expensive as hell. Thanks for the suggestion 👍.

I don't have any shelves to organize my anime collection. I laid them down on the floor and shelf them like it was a shelf. oh, I put them in Alphabetical order.

I can't say whether or not I'd ever return to making actual content, but I'd definitely like to at least film an updated collection video. I just need to get to a point where I can have it all displayed, since I've had to put the DVD's in storage tubs due to lack of space lol

I was the same i started collecting Bleach and Naruto, but there is just way to much of it its ridiculous. All the money your spending on this dvd's when you know there gonna rerelase it eventually on blu-ray for half the price. Honestly im glad longer series are becoming a thing of the past alot of anime now is much short and easier to get into compared to the old big three.
Im someone who likes collection, but i usually wait since you know there will be a rerelase for alot of this stuff. Same reason i have not gotten Evangelion sets. Funimation has the rights and will eventually put the hole series/ movies out again.

It's good to know I'm not the only one who has Dragon Ball GT right after Dragon Ball. I like having all my DBZ boxes next to each other to make the picture thenn ran out of room so then I put the other 2 together. Now 2 quick questions, when you first see an anime movie or show in English do you prefer to watch in in English or would you watch in Japanese? 2nd do you have all of your DVDs in a disc binder or do you keep them all in their boxes there?
+Michael M I pretty much watch everything in Dub. For one reason mainly, I don't enjoy reading subtitles. If I could understand Japanese I would listen to the original dub. I keep all the discs in their boxes.
7hank u. I totally agree with the whole subtitle thing as well. The only anime I really don't mind watching in Japanese are films for example the Miyazaki films. But none of my PURE favorites like DBZ, Yu Yu Hakusho, or Naruto Shippuden.
Thats a beautiful collection. I far prefer your edition of Suzuka, I have the SAVE edition, and sadly it does not have a reversible cover. It annoys me to no end.

Suzuka is the only one I have encountered without one. It has a nice background that takes up the entire backside of the cover, but it is not half as good as a decent reversible cover. It is rather annoying.
444crazydawg Yeah that would bug the crap out of me. I usually try and stay away from the SAVE box sets unless that's the only way to own it

Hey I was wondering what was wrong with tenchi in Tokyo if I may ask I really liked it then again it is the only tenchi series I own as of yet also for your lets play series I was wondering if you could play golden eye good old split screen
JustinChipman Show I don't know personally I just wasn't a fan. Not having the regular Tenchi cast that was a part of all the other series was a negative, and I seriously disliked the female main character. The show didn't have the Tenchi feel for me. Thanks for the recommendation! I'll add it to the list of games. I'm currently trying to work out a Mario Party 3 lets play with 2 more friends

In my opinion Higurashi was not scary at all not that gory. In fact I wish it was more gory and dangerous in the beginning, I think the horror aspect of it is very overrated but I still loved the anime :D

i hate how bleach and naruto dvds are now they cost so much for so little drives me crazy how do they make any money when no one will buy there tiny sets every ones collection ends at the same spot bleach the assault.
That's the point though. Only offer one type of product, and anyone who wants to own it will be forced to buy it
