Wow navigating at night, in a blizzard, in the mountains, in formation, with a fully load aircraft. Using only radar and maps, an almost impossible task. These crews where so dam skilled and brave.

These chaps - especially the aircrews - have stainless steel balls! One hell of an undertaking. Thanks for posting and stay safe 🙏

Unbeliavable airmanship and courage from those helicopter crews. Landing an overloaded helicopter on the back of a ship in heavy seas is a an unforgiving task. You either land it, or you die. The few of us who have done it and lived to talk about it know how lucky we were. This is a young man's game requiring skill and luck. Fly Navy!

Great Documentary, now I have even more respect for the Indian Army operating in - 30 degree centigrade (in the summer!) on the Siachen glacier where even oxygen is so low. Jai Hind! From Nagaland.

Surviving two crashes in a same type of heli in an inhospitable terrain is called a Miracle. It’s true that some really die hard. But they live.

I did the calculations for the SAS mountain troops on South Georgia island it was converted into -4 Fahrenheit and 114mph winds National Weather Service only goes up to 110mph for wind chill max, it said -46 farenheit but actually -50 farenheit if you add the extra 4mph over the max wind chill calculator! Negative 50 Farenheit!!!!! Worse than being stuck in a blizzard on Everest! At -20 farenheit exposed skin freezes in 60 seconds, so -50 F @ 20 Seconds to freeze exposed skin!!!! Just a lil help for Celcius and Kilometer per hour handicapped lol.
