Great reaction, thanks. 🤘🏿🤘🏽🤘🏻 I'm still in bed here in the south of Germany, watching a French speaking Canadian who is listening to a band from Finland with a Dutch singer and a British multi-instrumentalist, playing a song in tribute to a US citizen who is "buried" on the moon. Isn't this great? ❤️🌍
Eugene Shoemaker was a geologist and a founder of modern planetary science. He studied craters on Earth and Moon, and realized that they were created by asteroid impacts. Shoemaker was the geology principal investigator for Apollo missions, and he also helped to train the Apollo astronauts that went to the Moon. He himself was a candidate for an Apollo Moon flight but was disqualified after being diagnosed with Addison's disease. Later in life, he said, "Not going to the Moon and banging on it with my own hammer has been the biggest disappointment in life." Shoemaker spent much of his later years searching for undiscovered impact craters around the world. He died on July 18, 1997, in a car accident in Australia, where he was studying craters. In 1999, as a recognition for his scientific accomplishments, some of his ashes were carried to the Moon by the Lunar Prospector space probe. His final resting place is close to the lunar south pole, in the Shoemaker crater, named after him. The Shoemaker's urn was inscribed with a quotation from Romeo and Juliet reading: "And, when he shall die Take him and cut him out in little stars And he will make the face of heaven so fine That all the world will be in love with night And pay no worship to the garish sun." He is the only human buried on celestial body other than Earth. After his death, he finally got to go where he always wanted to be. Also he invented the shoe.
When the laudato si part came in you looked like a child on christmas. I just imagine this song being played live, with an orchestra and a choir that would be, in some sense, an spiritual experience. Again, thanks for sharing.
In fact, analyze closely the style of Tuomas. He needs the tools that he finds in sacred music. This part is simply inspiring, moving. And the voice of Floor ! Did you noticed? WOW !
I was in a bad place when I saw this video, some time back. I think I first saw a video from the beautiful lady from the channel The charismatic voice, and she spoke about this person Eugene Shoemaker. And when I listened and watched the video I understood the profound meaning of the song. I cried, I cried like a child. And then I saw this video in the recommendations. I watched this one as well. I do not know what it was about this video but I cried harder, the flood gates were open. Perhaps the way you seemed to be moved by the music, perhaps I related to your emotions and to the story of a hero of mankind. I cannot say, but it felt good. I am a huge man, with a big beard and a bald head, and I play hard heavy metal, but at that time I felt like a child whose parent told them a story to appease the fear. I am not a religious man, but this song was a religious experience. Thank you and Godspeed Guylain.
Thanks! I am a big man as well; used to be a drummer. I hid myself behind those, not to expose how sensitive and emotional I was. A bit romantic as well. I have to say, I never regretted to give space to that part of myself since.
I was in a forest here in Finland when I heard this song... I started to laugh and cry at the same time. I fell on my knees... I could not believe what I was hearing... Nightwish

Listening to nightwish is really something more these days then "just listening to a song". Really its both musically as lyrically a journey. And it will never be really the same anymore between these songs. We should be glad that were on this train man.
You, Sir, remind me of my beloved Priest from my Hometown. He loves Metal . One Evening (i wanted to exercise at the organ) I heard loud Music from the church, that wasn't any kind of a religious song. I slowly entered the Room, in fear that might vandals broken in. And there he was, sitting in front of the tabernacle and listening to Nightwish (Nemo) sang by Tarja Turunen (the first singer of the Band. It was from heaven to me. He turned around when he heard my steps on the stone, welcomed me with a smile and offered me to join 'his special kind of Prayer'. It was my first time to hear metal anyways. We listened a while and i became a fan, played some songs at the organ while ministry too. Since then I am a great Fan - and even a bigger fan of Floor Janssen, when she joined the Band. This Song is a masterpiece. Makes me cry all the time. Thank you for your great reaction on it.
This is absolutely beautiful. In all genres, there are good people. Some might think that metal is only loud noise, and in a way, I understand. But there and everywhere, we find gems of beauty and meaning. to me, Nightwish and Floor are certainly beautiful examples of that. Peace from Canada!
I LOVE your Story! How cool is that!? A priest who loves Metal!? Just beautiful! :D A former mayor of my hometown (Sundern, Sauerland) loves Iron Maiden! We don't need any religion, clothes, nationality or anything else to love something together. Music brings us together. Art brings us together. The art and our enthusiasm for it. "Nemo" was also the first song I heared from Nightwish. 15 years ago. Still love this song! :) Greetings from Germany! 🤘
This song makes me tear up every single time I listen to it, without fault. Even in public. :D What nightwish manages to do, more than any other band I've yet to encounter, is distill this feeling of pure awe at our natural world, as well as our consciousness giving it meaning into a song. The line that most encapsulates this, to me is "We all wait the due night beauty which is worth the hurting." It is the reason why humanity strives for knowledge in the first place and why art and science (and in fact religion and science) fulfill similar roles for humanity. We search for something beautiful, something meaningful beyond the darkness of our ignorance and fear. (And though the journey might never reach it's destination, like Shoemaker never made it to the moon while he was alive, this song and his story reminds one why it is worth it anyway.)
Sophie, you translate in your words what I think. Dearly. There can be close-mindedness in both worlds, but their can be grandeur in both as well. I personally find great joy in the scientific discoveries. There is a lot of generosity in true scientists. Thanks for your beautiful comment.
@@GuylainPrince Guylain prince do you know the famous german beer Franziskaner? Was thinking about you. Ive tried it while listening to NW, makes it even more perfect!
I've been following Nightwish since it was born and I've never heard them create and perform anything like their newest album. It's unmistakably Nightwish and yet so different, so new. And as always, good at any moment. When I heard this song for the first time I liked it right away, not only because of the Nightwish itself but also what it was about - I love astronomy, space, planets, explorations, work of scientists who guided humanity into space and Shoemaker is one of the biggest names in that area. And suddenly a song dedicated to him - absolutely amazing. And each time I hear this song I like it more and more. I am glad to see that you like it a lot as well. Thank you for your reaction and insight.
A star lover here, as well ! I went into Physics first at the university because I wanted to become an astrophysicist. I finally went another path, but still 'in love with the stars'. You will want to watch my [ANALYSE] of the song. I had to remove it, but it will be back soon. Probably by Saturday ! Cheers from planet earth !
@@GuylainPrince Thank you, I was actually looking for that video and was wondering where it is, now I know and I'll wait until it's re-uploaded and definitely will check it out.
Last year Nightwish did live concerts again, and this song too. Imagine the audience experience passionate moments hearing Laudato Si, with tears in their eyes.
It is such a pleasure to watch your reactions. I can't recall anyone with more passion for music, art and "life" doing reactions to some of my favorite music, than you. Add to that your most intelligent and thoughtful analysis, and the result is I am enjoying this music even more. Thank you!
@@GuylainPrince Well, if you are inspired by St. Francis it is only proper to inspect everything you come across. There could be some worthy advice in it inspiring people to be better to each other. If it also brings you joy then it is doubly blessed.
A Northern Finn here who has listened Nightwish for four decades, speaks Finnish, Swedish, English, some German, and studied two years of French (no one learns our language so we need to learn others), your video was very enjoyable and heartfelt! Enjoyed watching you experiencing the same joy and emotion I feel, not only from lyrics but the composition as a whole. Music is one of the universal languages among others., God bless!
The joys of Nightwish knows no boundaries. I don't understand a word of French (I watched with the subtitles), but the emotions brought up by Nightwish are understandable even through language barriers. I loved your reaction, so pure and authentic. Best wishes.
@@GuylainPrince no don`t wanna read subtitles, we both understand the English lyrics. I came here to SEE your reaction to this masterpiece, and there is no need to translate human emotions. Subscribed, and greetings from Germany.👍🙂
i cant believe i just found your channel a couple days ago, but i love your passion and emotions that are evoked when you listen to music, just one more amazing thing in God's creation.
Music was created on the "seventh day", like an old Irish song says. Yup. I hope you will enjoy the ride. We are, presently into Ayreon's repertoire (prog rock operas). An absolute discovery for me. Love it!
@@GuylainPrince He holds the favorite artist of mine's place and has for years. i own almost everything he creates and its basically what plays in my car if the stereo is on :). There is a ton to react to of his for sure.. i hope you get to the Album "the Source" its one of my favorites.
Thank you for your reaction, especially when you discovered the origin of the 'laudato si ad adstra' sentence. I didn't know this but when you explained it, I felt nearly the same. The songs seems to me to be one of the strongest examples of the new gospel of Thuomas, but not only of him. I am convinced that Floor and Troy and also the other band members contributed considerably in this respect. It seems to me that they more and more change from a heavy metal band just like that to a group of wise persons, who likes to deal with the relevant questions of to day. In this song they used te story of Shoemaker to present one of the basic spiritual ideas of our time: life behind death by inclusion in the universe. As Floor sings: "We like to join you''. The music supports this in a magnificent way, based as it is on the classical musical European traditions. I like it.
@@GuylainPrince a little bit, yeah 🤣🤣 By the way, I love your joy and explanations of the music. Simple, in-depth, compelling. It's refreshing amid the noise of social media's one-liners and pop culture.
Sweet! No one has explained the true meaning of what this presentation of the song means. You have captured and have given us insight to what Thomas has created for that lone geologist whose ashes lay in the place that he dedicated his life to and loved so much. Thank you. I will recommend your video to anyone who is into Nightwish.
You're welcome ! Yup ! Words, especially, meaningful words are my passion. Can't hide it ! And what I like in this exercise : discovering the musical rendition of meaning. And in this case, I lost all 'control', in a way. Words, melody and meaning. And as a cherry : the reference to Laudato Si. I could not take it anymore !
I realy like your comments. Even that i,m a atheïst. I,m from the netherlands floors birth ground. Greetings from Holland Music is universal, it doesnt matter what belief you have♥️
Greeting from Russia. Your reactions are the best i've ever seen. The song is phenomenal, my favorite from new album. I was studying French at school and you are inspiring me to practice it. Thanks and keep going!
@@GuylainPrince Wow, Thank you for translating into Russian. I'm watching with English subtittles so i can pause sometimes to carefully translate your thoughts. Accent doesn't matter we had a lot of native French speakers visiting our school and exchange students. French for me is by far most beautiful and most wonderful language in the World. Again, thank you for replying)
They calls Toumas (the bands keyboard player who writes all the music) -(both for choir, orchestra in London, and the band)... For "The Mozart of Metal"... We cant talk enough of he´s genius. And aprichate him for all the remarkable songs and compositions he has done. For me he´s greatest thing is how he have the ability to touch hearts. And the Band has an remarkable way in their concerts, to make every single one in the audience included. Nowadays Nighwish Netherland singer Floor lives with her husband Hannes Van Dahl. Who is the drummer in the Swedish Metal band Sabaton, In my Country Sweden. As I suppose you know the rest of Nightwish is from our Neibour Country FInland. Once again thankyou for ure wonderful reaction. God Bless you /Jonny
Thanks! Yup, with time, the fans feed me with all the info I need to know. It is great. The Metal Mozrt would comment only on his musical ability as a composer; I tend to think the he his a genius in blending the lyrics/words with music. To me, right there, he is a living master.
Ha ha ha ! I was SO MUCH honoured and struck by the fact that Nightwish put on a quote from the founder of my religious community. I could not believe my eye!
I just found your channel and I love the way you analyse the songs. I was surprised in a very positive way that a franciscan friar likes metal music. This Nightwish album is a real masterpiece with deep meaning and compley music and vocals. Greetings from Germany :)
Nightwish is a band with beariful músic, inspired and deep lyrics, and (maybe) the best singer, but not only a singer, she is an artist, like the other members especially Toummas, Great reaction!! One of the best i ever watched Cheers from El Salvador!!
Wonderful to see such an in depth appreciation of the lyrics. Tuomas is a talented poet who always grabs me with his lyrics as well as the intricate orchestrations he creates. I admit I often have to research this reference or that to fully understand. Well done sir. Can't wait for Endlessness.
Thanks. You are so right ! Some analysis, I can do in on look of the lyrics. No challenge. But these songs, we really have to work our way through. That is the 9th, isn't ? Well, Saturday, I will work on the 4th song : 'Harvest'.
Completely proud. As if my child just won a gold medal. Nightwish quoting the founder of my religious order, the Franciscans? I am still under the shock, to be frank!. Thanks for stopping by !
Yes, it's so emotional to see the priest's reaction. Now we know about the poem of Francis of Asis included in the operatic final part of the song. I'm from Chile too, and I follow the band from 1997. And I have family in Quebec. Music is apreciated in every part of the world with the same energy.
Really loved your reaction! It almost seemed you were actually tasting the words, savoring them. First time here on your channel, already a fan of how you enjoyed and felt the song. Thank you! Cheers from Brazil!
Thanks you so much ! These days, I listen to 2-3 songs per week. Because of my séries 'Lectio Musica', I don't have much time to listen to something else. So, it's normal, the songs hit me with more power than some others, because there is 'space', availability. I have the ears, the heart and tools to understand the words. Open mind and open heart, it is all takes !
@@GuylainPrince I'm really enjoying watching your analysis, not only for shoemaker but also for the other songs. Just subscribed and looking forward to see more of your content. Have a nice weekend!
To be struck by lightning, this is it ! I look like a madman, but the surprise here is everything. I have to thank all the visitors/subscribers NOT to break it to me. Some know that I made a radio show on Laudato Si, for one year in Canada. That would have a made quite a 'bubble burst'. But here, I had the full joy of hearing one of the bands I respect the most quoting few words of such a meaningful poem for me. I choose to become a Franciscan because of the example given by Francis of Assisi. Two worlds collide in one instant, in my heart ! Fullness, gratitude ! Speechless, I was.
I just can't listen to that Laudato Si part without tearing up from the pure power and beauty of the music. It just resonates so deeply within me. I have no idea what the words mean but I'm sure I'll get an idea when I watch your analyses. I really liked your reaction, you looked so happy. :)
Eugene Shoemaker helped train NASA astronauts for the Moon landings. He was excluded from the astronaut corp because of a disease. The quote in the song comes from Romeo and Juliet.
Your reaction when Laudato Si appeared on your screen was priceless. I myself did not know the meaning of the phrase so I am glad you educated me even though I have no connection with religion. You do know that Floor sang the verses on this song as well as the incredibly beautiful ending yes?? Also I'm glad you knew about Dr. Shoemaker's profession and his very tragic passing.
Father Guylain, I stop by here every now and again when I need a 'pick me up' to get through the tough times. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I had a wonderful music/religion teacher at a small Catholic school who would have loved your UA-cam channel. She allowed us to bring in albums and cassettes and share music (and it's analysis) with the class. Again, thank you!
I remember you, isn't it? Didn't you wrote to me a couple of months ago? Well, you found yourself a home, now! Welcome! We juste begin a 24 weeks journey into Nightwish old repertoire. Come and join us!
I fell in love with Nightwish 15 years ago (I'm 25 yo). The song called "Nemo". I was.. perplexed. In the positive! I also play the piano and Tuomas has been inspiring me ever since. There is no album or track of Nightwish I don't like. I understand the way of music with Tarja. I understood Toumas' decision to choose Anette. And Floor.. oh my god.. She is a wonderful blessing for all of us. Am I right? :) And this Album is c r a z y incredible! I've been hearing it for weeks and I still have to.. I love this work. It's a Masterpiece! I also love your reaction to the song "Shoemaker"! You FELT it! :D I remember when I heared this song for the first time. Tuomas killed me. Floor killed me. Marco and Emppu and damn it everybody killed me totally in the final. :D I was satisfied and filled with happyness. I look forward to devouring more of your videos! :D Greetings from Germany, North Rhine-Westphalia, Sauerland! 🤘 #2111 PS: I apologize for any spelling errors, my English is not the hellest candle of the cake.
Don't worry about errors! You are perfectly understandable. We are, for most of us, in our second language when it comes to symphonic metal. As a keyboardist/pianist, there are three levels for appreciating Tuomas: 1) the musician, 2) the arranger (with the other musicians) and 3) the composer. We could add "band leader". I understand how you could love him, as a fan, with all your heart. He is exceptional. The day you might want to dig into another band's repertoire, and discover another GREAT keyboardist/composer, think of Tony Banks (Genesis). It is progressive rock (not symphonic metal), but you will discover another great! Begin with "Selling England by the Pound" or "The Lamb lies down". They were very young, at the time.
@@GuylainPrince Thanks for the great answer and your suggestions! I love the music of the 60s, 70s and 80s! From Canned Heat to ABBA! :D I'll listen to the albums! :)
Guylain, you really made my day with your reaction to Laudato Si! Wonderful! Not only the music is exquisite, but also your elaborate reactions and reviews to masterpieces like this. Wishing you all the best! Kind regards from the Netherlands.
Well, every time, I am ready for a journey, with Nightwish, and I have to say that, until now, I am completely astonished ! A 'metal' composer quotes Francis of Assisi and Shakespeare in the same song? This blows my mind.
Wow !
Thank you for this beautiful reaction. I had already done some digging into the lyrics and was just as affected as you were. Like you, the first time I heard it (and every time after!) I sit with my mouth hanging open on the last Laudato Si. It's too beautiful for words. I love watching people who love this music as much as I do. Hello from Alberta and Merci!!
Hello Jessica. Glad that you appreciated this. And I am glad that you enjoy a video in French. It puts a balm on my heart since I give more time for the subtitles than for everything else. Peace!
Guylain you have good taste in music mate. I am South African but born in Australia. We played the Laudato Si portion of the song at a close friend's funeral. It was his request. Jonas heard it in heaven it was played so loud. Also shaking the foundations of this small limestone church. What a send off. In life we joked about our taste in music. Nightwish genre was Finnish Folk Music. Regularly recommending the group to friends. To our amazement they disagreed with it being folk music. More like head banging heavy metal. What heavy metal band has an operatic classical trained singer like Floor? I only have just found your page. Look forward to more reviews,
Yup! Lately, a friend of a friend died. They called me. Since he was a heavy metal song, they asked for my recommendation. "Shoemaker" was one of them. My other recommendation were were EPICA, Rush, etc... I guess, yes, I have taste in music. Like you, I see beyond the metal genre in NW. They are way beyond that, thanks to Tuomas. This is GREAT music, with a metal rhythm section.
Really can't say much more than "thanks" for that gorgeous reaction. I've been a Nightwish fan for many years now, and it never ceases to amaze me how their music moves us all, religious or not, from whichever continent we live in, no matter how old we are.. that's the power of music, and that... that is the meaning of almighty for me. Greetings from Argentina!
greetings from Chile! I loved seeing his reaction, this song makes me feel emotional because of its meaning because of the history that there is, I live in the great north of Chile where it is one of the most beautiful places to see at night, there are opservatories, I follow this band since 2004 I've already been my partner over the years ... greetings
Hello Guylain! I'm learning french and your reacting videos of Nightwish subtitled in English are perfect for learning more. Thank you, and greetings from Chile!

A comment from Half-Life Sistah brought me here and I am so thrilled to watch your videos. I'm in Los Angeles and self-quarantined and to have such an amazing fellow Nightwish fan sharing their love and wisdom. While Pan is still my favorite from Human||Nature, Shoemaker brings me to tears. The poetry, the majesty, the grandiosity of what it conveys to me. Music truly is a universal language. Merci!

@@GuylainPrince Thank you, mon frair. It´s a really wonderful forum. The spirit of St Francis is smiling at us with joy. The whole scenary reminds me of my grandmother. With their eyes wide open, their minds riding on the notes or the exciting stories.
Well... From now on, I know how I look like when I am flabbergasted ! I was in shock, truly in chock ! Right there, in front of the camera... (I look kind of silly, to be frank). I haven't experienced that for a long time with music. But to see my favourite band quoting the founder of my religious order ?!? My heart could not be more joyous.
Well this last part penetrates your very inner soul and lifts you up. It fills your heart like the gentle whisper of the wind in the trees, the roaring thunder of the crashing sea, the smoothly talking of a running creek and the warmth of a newly ploughed field. You become a part of something much bigger. It feels great.
Merci beaucoup pour votre réaction! I hope that is right. A beautiful reaction. Tuomas' music is so evocative, so powerful and not constrained by genre. This is a true masterpiece and it was wonderful to see it through your eyes.
Apparently! I received an email to a Finnish web-zine. I was able to translate it in French. Interesting. He called me the "Canadian monk"- even if I am not a monk but a friar. A monk would not listen to his music since his life is clustered. I would have loved to know that he was aware of my series. Never had any news from NW. Just a nice personal hello from Kai. Peace!
That was a great and passionate reaction video! It just popped up in my feed and I'm glad to see that there are already videos on several other songs from the album on your channel. Your understanding and the feeling of music really contributes to the reaction. It adds so much more to the experience. Thank you so much!
Oh, many thanks from Canada. In Québec, there is an expression : "bon public" or "public généreux". A "good" or "generous public". I do have the highest esteem to artists; I do surrender to their 'proposition", we say in French. I give my 'devoted" attention at first. I become 'critical' as a second movement of the heart/mind. As a director of gospel choirs, I do have a tendency to 'act' the music as I feel it, on the spot. I am very happy that you appreciate it.
Sadly, I know the song so well and appreciate it so much. The album 'Showtime, Storytime' is one of my old time favourite: I have it constantly on my phone. I can say, honestly, that in the past year, I watched the entire show on YT 3-4 times. The whole show. It would not be a first hearing [REACTION] video, but fan-completely-in-love reaction. Peace !

Thank you so much for your reaction, and your time. Thankfully there were subtitles that a person like me could follow, but you have such a nice voice, it was great listening to you!
I just found your channel and to be honest, between the song and your reaction...I was moved to tears. Which is, while not a first-The end of the The Greatest Show on Earth always gets me- something that is rather rare. I'm an American living in the panhandle of Florida so watching a French speaking Canadian react was new but your love for music and Nightwish has me hooked. Your clear joy and amazement with this song is a wonder to behold and I can't wait to watch the rest of the videos you've put out and to see what will come next. I'm subscribing just as soon as I finish this comment.
As we speak, my reaction vids are in French and analysis in English. Presently in Epica for one month. Will begin an historical journey with Nightwish.
@@GuylainPrince I did put on the English subtitles once you mentioned them and I was very happy to have them so that I could understand what you were saying. You have such a pleasant voice and watching you react has been the highlight of my day! Just finished your Endlessness reaction and was smiling the whole way through! Going to go watch the Analysis soon!
A friar who says "oh Lord" for a song lol (but I think it's deserved). you're a nice person I can tell. anyway the song is stunnig and very difficult to sing in its entirety not only in the operatic part and yes Tuomas is a composing genius but without Floor incredible talent and capacity of trasmitting emotions everything would be for nothing. by the way you looked like a child at Christmas when the laudato part began you thought it was a reference to St. Francis from Assisi poem maybe it is.
Well, it is public knowledge that Tuomas said that they won't play this one live. I have read the info in one or two article about HN. If true, a lot of people will be disappointed.
@@GuylainPrince I saw that as well. I wonder how long they can hold that position. I am guessing the Nightwish army will be pleading. They could do it Epica style...Possibly wiht Simone...It could make "Sancta Terra" sound like a country ballard...
I don't know who might find this reaction bad enough to dislike it, but hey, to each their own. I'm glad I stumble upon this video. I loved it and will come back for more. Cheers from Nicaragua.
Thanks ! Well, maybe I look like someone he does not like... The way we react to people is very different from each other. Maybe it's the content. Who knows ?
Merci Guylain Prince.
Merci.
Great reaction, thanks. 🤘🏿🤘🏽🤘🏻
I'm still in bed here in the south of Germany, watching a French speaking Canadian who is listening to a band from Finland with a Dutch singer and a British multi-instrumentalist, playing a song in tribute to a US citizen who is "buried" on the moon.
Isn't this great? ❤️🌍
Pffffooooaaaa ha ha ha ! That one is a keeper. I love it !

@@jaycece999 ...and another greetings from the southwest of germany.
Might I add that that singer lives in Sweden? :-)
This is not music, this is a prayer for humanity to follow this dreamer on his, our, eternal path of knowledge ...
Nice way to put it!
Later in life, he said, "Not going to the Moon and banging on it with my own hammer has been the biggest disappointment in life."
Shoemaker spent much of his later years searching for undiscovered impact craters around the world.
The Shoemaker's urn was inscribed with a quotation from Romeo and Juliet reading:
"And, when he shall die
Take him and cut him out in little stars
And he will make the face of heaven so fine
That all the world will be in love with night
And pay no worship to the garish sun."
He is the only human buried on celestial body other than Earth.
WOW !
Tuomas said in an interview on Finnish radio, that they most likely will not perform this song live. He said it wouldn't work well live.
Sériously ? I am astonished !
@@leap.5950 That's a real shame, I was hoping to hear it live in December. It would be awesome.
Lea P. Well he once said that about PATP too, so we’ll just have to wait, hope and ask for it 🙏🏻
Let's leave the noise and enter in the music of Nightwish. You gotta love this man!
hé hé hé ! Thanks! That is a great moment for me too!
Nightwish

This is why i fell in Love with the songs by Nightwish/Toumas, the poet and the visionary. This is just one of my favourites.
I am completely under their charm, since last fall. Before that, I knew them, but now, I consider them my favourite band ! Come back any time !
A former mayor of my hometown (Sundern, Sauerland) loves Iron Maiden!
We don't need any religion, clothes, nationality or anything else to love something together.
Music brings us together. Art brings us together. The art and our enthusiasm for it.
"Nemo" was also the first song I heared from Nightwish. 15 years ago. Still love this song! :)
Greetings from Germany! 🤘
@@jottesofficial greetings back from Berlin, Germany :-)
This song makes me tear up every single time I listen to it, without fault. Even in public. :D
What nightwish manages to do, more than any other band I've yet to encounter, is distill this feeling of pure awe at our natural world, as well as our consciousness giving it meaning into a song.

I like it.

First time, ever, that a Rock band quotes Francis of Assisi and one of the most important document of my life : Laudato Si.
Eugene Shoemaker helped train NASA astronauts for the Moon landings. He was excluded from the astronaut corp because of a disease. The quote in the song comes from Romeo and Juliet.

PS: I apologize for any spelling errors, my English is not the hellest candle of the cake.

To me too ! Thanks.
greetings from Chile! I loved seeing his reaction, this song makes me feel emotional because of its meaning because of the history that there is, I live in the great north of Chile where it is one of the most beautiful places to see at night, there are opservatories, I follow this band since 2004 I've already been my partner over the years ... greetings
Hello Caroline,
Welcome to the friendliest army on the planet. the nightwish army. We worship great music.
Well, it seems I am at the right place. Great lyrics, great music, great meaning !
Hello Guylain! I'm learning french and your reacting videos of Nightwish subtitled in English are perfect for learning more. Thank you, and greetings from Chile!
WARNING : My French is not of international quality ! I react very naturally in my region's French. Don't worry too much if you don't understand certain parts. The subtitles are, as much as I can do, international English !
Nice analysis with clean explicit explanations . I like it very much.
Thanks! It was a shock. Have you listened to the Analysis of the song (LM. 08.2)?
@@GuylainPrince Yes. Very interesting
This song is dedicated to shoemaker who the comet shoemaker levy is named.
Yup!
Thanks for your reaction and for the translation. It’s fascinating to follow when you find joints in a song with something well-known.
Be my guess! Anytime!
I listened to the music, I saw your reaction, I cried. Greetings from The Netherlands.
Most welcome!
Guylain, you are magnificent. The joy in your face is so gorgeous. Laudato si indeed. All the best from Norway.
Thanks!!!! It was one of the great "shock" I had in my life. The whole album, to be frank! This being said, this song will always have a special place in my heart, yes.
Merci!
Hello Kimberley. A comment from Half-Life Sistah (I know their reaction channel from two months ago. Amazing reaction to Ghost Love Score, isn't it?). Did she make a comment on my channel? Anyhow, I glad to welcome you here as well. Peace to you! Enjoy the ride!
@@GuylainPrince someone responded to their reaction to Shoemaker. I absolutely love how you mix the sacred and the secular. This song reminds me a lot of some of Hildegard of Bingen's works. It has that same wondrous, inspirational and divine beauty.
Wow. That´s a special convention here. People from all over the world and every faith joining together under the host of a fransiscan brother to share some great music. I think this special times, brings out some very special feelings. The sence of humanity is back! Greetings to everyone out there. Stay save and healthy...... So that we may meet in Wacken again.....
Thanks for your nice words! It is a wonderful forum, isn't it? And we are about the continue our journey through Nightwish. Look for the new vids about old songs. Beginning September 2020!
@@GuylainPrince Thank you, mon frair. It´s a really wonderful forum. The spirit of St Francis is smiling at us with joy. The whole scenary reminds me of my grandmother. A humble, little women who´s greatest joy it was to tell fairytales or sing old folksongs to a bunch of grandchildren sitting at her feet, around her rockingchair. With their eyes wide open, their minds riding on the notes or the exciting stories.
Thank you for your emotional reaction. Not everyone can transporting this. Great, thank you again.
With poetry, you said it all! thanks!
Merci beaucoup pour votre réaction! I hope that is right. A beautiful reaction. Tuomas' music is so evocative, so powerful and not constrained by genre. This is a true masterpiece and it was wonderful to see it through your eyes.
Don't miss my [ANALYSE]. Just posted it, 30 minutes ago.
Tuomas mentioned you in an interview, when they asked him about the reaction vids:)
Peace!
Your energy, warmth and enthusiasm is so refreshing and charming, you've got a sub from me!
Most welcome, dear Scylla! Enjoy the channel. Never hesitate to share your opinion!
La sua reazione mi ha emozionato. One kiss from Italy 🥰
Grazie tante, Polo ! Sono con amici da l'Italia. Non possiamo retornare nelle notri paesi! Sono dal Canada! Pace !
That was a great and passionate reaction video! It just popped up in my feed and I'm glad to see that there are already videos on several other songs from the album on your channel. Unfortunately I don't see the analysis video to Shoemaker among them though. In any case I thoroughly enjoyed this one and I'm looking forward to watching the rest of the reactions and hearing your analyses. Thank you, and greetings from Sweden!
Don't worry about the [ANALYSE] of Shoemaker. It will come back I had to remove is a bit. A bit of edition. Look for it around Saturday.
This song is amazing. It's wonderful that bands like Nightwish can bring us together. Believers, atheists, agnosticis (like me), doesn't matter. We still love good music, good people and good ideas. :-)
It is a great song, isn't it?
Thank you very much for your reaction in this masterpiece of art.
I saw a lot of reactions but your is magnificent 👌 above all the others.
You help me very much for understanding the verses because my English is not my first language.
And yes if understand the lyrics you will love more this amazing music.
Greetings from Greece.
Stay safe and healthy 🙏.
Did you listen to the video [ANALYSE] of the same song ? I suspect that you did ...
@@GuylainPrince yes i did.i find your videos thankfully from another fan of your reaction and he said that you had two videos for Shoemaker and i thank him personally after.
I saw the music reaction too the second CD and harvest already. The reaction to video noise i do not see yet.
You have a very good charisma and it is seams to me that you love NW as much as do.
Your analysis is deeper than all the other reactors together and I like the way who transfer us the knowledge of NW for all. Still we imagine with you a consert of NW.
With great respect and regards 🙏.
I have to say that this is the best reaction to this song in my humble opinion. Pointing out every little detail, explaining so much more than others. Thank you sir for making me love this song even more! Greetings from Bulgaria and stay safe!
Thanks. My [ANALYSE] of Harvest, How's the Heart and Tribal are very interesting as well. Thanks for passing by.
I can't understand a word in french but for some reason listening to this guy speak french is really nice.
Aaawwww ! Thanks. I have to say that I love my mother's family accent. It is a very gentle way, a "round" way to speak French, full of images and proverbs of my culture. That's it, and that's me ! Peace.
Same...i could listen to him day and night. I am waiting his video about St.Francis of Assisi. He has to do it...in french of course
My favourite reaction. Passion in its purest form
What a surprise it was !
Merci for your wonderful reaction to this masterpiece. Greetings from Greece.
You are most welcome!
I was truly moved!
Merci beaucoup!
For the rest I'll react in English (I'm Dutch and this is as far my French will go)
I loved to see you enjoy the music so much.
Je dois dire, this is my fourth viewing of your Shoemaker reaction, a joy to share each time!
I was extremely surprise, first time in my life!
Sim!!!

Oh man! You REALLY need to react to Nightwish - Ghost Love Score live at Wacken 2013. It WILL blow your mind!
Peace !
@@GuylainPrince Nothing wrong with being a long-time fan!
As long as you explain just like you've done above :-)
No matter where you are, what is your age, religion or anything else....Nightwish🤘 cathers ALL people together enjoy this mind blowing journey. Greetings from 🇫🇮🥰❤️
Mind blowing is the expression we all search for, after such beautiful musical experiences.
Thank you so much for your reaction, and your time. Thankfully there were subtitles that a person like me could follow, but you have such a nice voice, it was great listening to you!
You are welcome! Such a great song!!!
I just found your channel and to be honest, between the song and your reaction...I was moved to tears. Which is, while not a first-The end of the
The Greatest Show on Earth always gets me- something that is rather rare.

My Queen summoned me here!
The band haven't done this live yet. Remember , this band goes to another level when playing live!!!!!!
Merci.
