Nice professionally produced video. Just a few hundred questions... What is the spread rate? How long to dry? Why is the second coat necessary? What roller cover is best for the back rolling? How long between coats? What is the ideal temperature range for installation? How long does it last? What is the material costs per square foot? Does the feel under foot change at all? Is it slippery when wet? Maintenance? Dirt attraction? Sooooo many questions.
The first coat soaks in and dries, the second coat stays on top and gets shiny for that wet look. All your other answers are on the bucket of the product.
What should I apply to marble walls to make it look better? The customer wants me to clean it then apply wax. The walls are inside the building. Thank you.
1) "Does "Back-rolling" mean rolling back and forth like he did in the video? Is that to get the excess out of the nooks and crannies? I've heard that method causes the milky finish and you should actually only roll back in one direction, slowly? How long between coats?
Good Morning Anthony, Back rolling is when there is excess product, and it is exactly the way he did it in the video. Just make sure you are using the right tool :) For solvent based product, once the surface is dry to the touch (+/- 4 hours), you can apply a second coat. Hi David, Sorry we do not have a link to that product. Just to let you know that the best way to water and activate your polymer sand's grip is with a conventional flower watering can for easier flow control.
A Wet Look protective sealer will enhance the natural color of treated pavers, giving them an elegant, permanent sheen. To learn more about our range of Wet Look sealers, visit 👉 bit.ly/3FkzyJ9
Seeing that a typical residential driveway measures anywhere between 600 and 750 sq. ft., A 5. gal drum of our WL5 sealer is most probably enough to carry out that type of work. To learn more, visit our website at 👉 bit.ly/3FkzyJ9.
It is not recommended, a previously treated surface should be stripped before applying any new sealer coating. For more information, please visit our website or reach out to your local Techniseal product distributor.
Good Afternoon Kay, With the considerable advancements made in sealant technology in the last decade or so, there are no more significant differences durability-wise between solvent and water-based formulas. In the end, it comes up to aesthetical and environmental considerations. If you're looking to preserve the natural look of a paver installation, there's no denying that water-based sealers are "eco-friendlier" than their solvent-based counterparts. However, if you're looking for a glossy "wet look,"; few things can beat solvent-based sealers. Please feel free to visit our website or reach out to our technical support team to further discuss your needs.
Good Morning and thank you for your question. This water-based paver sealer and joint stabilizer protects hardscape installations from unwanted stains and erosion, and leaves them with a nice glossy finish. If you want more information, please call us at 1 800 465 7325, and we can further discuss your concerns.
That made it look darker. Real nice. I have a paver driveway too and want to do this. My question is the wet look, it isn't slippery when wet from the rain or garden hose use? Still has the same traction. I also consider filling in the slots with all purpose sand before applying the sealer.
There are polymer additives which can be applied on the top coat of sealer, which can create a texture that is comparable to a high grit sand paper like texture. A polular one can be found in the local home improvement stores called "shark grip". Commonly found in the paint department. Hi Kevin, A drying period of 12 hours is recommended for pedestrian traffic and 48 hours for any vehicular traffic. Of course, this is always relative to the ambient temperature and air moisture. For more information, please consult our Technical Data Sheet 👉bit.ly/2wLnDWC
Just FYI, there’s no need for an introduction segment in the video. It is of no value to the viewer. Just go right to the content - your customers will appreciate it.
You want to use a urethane or an epoxy sealer on loose gravel. Purpose is to bond the stones together. you do not want to use a paver sealer which purpose is to bond the joint sand togetger. It will only enhance the color of river rock/pea gravel and other loose stone substrates. Call Dura Guard Paver Sealing for your paver sealing needs in the Tampa, Pasco, Hernando & Orlando areas in Florida. www.DuraGuardFL.com

Wash, rinse, repeat. : ) Actually, after you clean the surface once, and just before applying the sealer, use a leaf blower to remove dust and small debris. Instructions for the product that I use says the surface should dry 24-hours before application.
It all depends on the weather, but as a rule of thumb, circulation; both pedestrian and vehicular should be barred for at least 24h. To learn more about our products, please feel free to consult our Technical Data Sheets available online at techniseal.com

He's a Ghost Buster..... Will this product seal away any demons dripped from my car? LMAO, can I rent an electronic temp gauge, while determining if my pavers are exactly the right temp? Guess common sense is out of place these days! The real point of this video by this so called expert is, hire a licensed, certified contractor to double your expense. Not me, refuse to sit on my recliner with a check book while my "Ghost Buster" is doing the job.
Nearly 11 years after this video was made, it's helpful and isn't obnoxious to watch. Thank you techniseal guy
A 40 second intro is obnoxious
Great, professional and informative video. You wear nicer clothes sealing your driveway than I do at my office job 😎😂
Hahaha, we'll be sure to pass along the comment to our guy 😂
You should see him on Sundays though 😉
Dayumm that shit looks sick after the water base finish, Tight....I knew I enjoyed doing this for something....and the silica is still on there...

Hi. What brand do you use specifically? If it's glossy, is it slippery? How long is the product good for until you need to reseal again?
It lasts 3 to 6 months

What kind of pump sprayer is that?
Its called a back pack sprayer
Is a 2nd coat always necassary. It makes a huge differents in cost and it's hard to give an estimate not knowing how much sealer will be necessary
1 gallon =100sq ft for nice saturation and joint stability
Great video. Thanks for the help
Glad it helped

I was not careful and applied pave sealer in 90 plus degree weather, what is my best option
Just played a new patio. Should I seal before the locking dust?
Thank you

Most times, people go with our iN Natural Look sealer, a penetrative protector that shields surfaces without altering their color.

How long will it last
A good-quality sealer will last anywhere from 2-5 years depending on the weather and circulation conditions.
Has anyone ever tried clear epoxy paint on pavers. seams like it would stabilize the sand and give the wet look
Make it slick as butter when wet too

Clay F a lot. He wasn’t stingy with it but that’s a good thing. Looked like a well maintained property.
Not that you asked that... lol sorry. If it helps I would say 10 litres would be about right but I don’t seem to use as much as him,
Did your left arm get tired?
Don't understand the purpose of spraying on the sealer and then rolling it. That's double the work and seems more difficult to do.
the rolling was to get the excess off, you dont want pools of it
It's like spraying on stain on a fence then back rolling
@Nurse Ratchett nurse Ratchett i fooookin luv you❤btw its time for my meds😂then back to fukn up my pavers
