    Nice professionally produced video. Just a few hundred questions... What is the spread rate? How long to dry? Why is the second coat necessary? What roller cover is best for the back rolling? How long between coats? What is the ideal temperature range for installation? How long does it last? What is the material costs per square foot? Does the feel under foot change at all? Is it slippery when wet? Maintenance? Dirt attraction? Sooooo many questions.

    • @TheSoloAsylum
      @TheSoloAsylum 5 років тому +4

      The first coat soaks in and dries, the second coat stays on top and gets shiny for that wet look. All your other answers are on the bucket of the product.

    1) "Does "Back-rolling" mean rolling back and forth like he did in the video? Is that to get the excess out of the nooks and crannies? I've heard that method causes the milky finish and you should actually only roll back in one direction, slowly? How long between coats?

    • @Techniseal
      @Techniseal  2 роки тому

      Good Morning Anthony,
      Back rolling is when there is excess product, and it is exactly the way he did it in the video. Just make sure you are using the right tool :)
      For solvent based product, once the surface is dry to the touch (+/- 4 hours), you can apply a second coat.

    Hello if you live in Florida what is best to use an oil based or a water based sealant?

    • @Techniseal
      @Techniseal  2 роки тому

      Good Afternoon Kay,
      With the considerable advancements made in sealant technology in the last decade or so, there are no more significant differences durability-wise between solvent and water-based formulas.
      In the end, it comes up to aesthetical and environmental considerations.
      If you're looking to preserve the natural look of a paver installation, there's no denying that water-based sealers are "eco-friendlier" than their solvent-based counterparts. However, if you're looking for a glossy "wet look,"; few things can beat solvent-based sealers.
      Please feel free to visit our website or reach out to our technical support team to further discuss your needs.

    That made it look darker. Real nice. I have a paver driveway too and want to do this. My question is the wet look, it isn't slippery when wet from the rain or garden hose use? Still has the same traction. I also consider filling in the slots with all purpose sand before applying the sealer.

      There are polymer additives which can be applied on the top coat of sealer, which can create a texture that is comparable to a high grit sand paper like texture. A polular one can be found in the local home improvement stores called "shark grip". Commonly found in the paint department.
      Visit my website for a video showing the application process we use for sealing with this product.

      You want to use a urethane or an epoxy sealer on loose gravel. Purpose is to bond the stones together. you do not want to use a paver sealer which purpose is to bond the joint sand togetger. It will only enhance the color of river rock/pea gravel and other loose stone substrates.
