Great video! I have light grey marble pavers called Tahoe, with the sandblasted finish. I accidentally spilled a half gallon of muriatic acid on my pool deck/coping. Now that area is much darker and "marble" looking. Do you think it'll be a good idea to wash out the rest of the deck a few times with a hard diluted acid wash (70/30) to try and even out the look of the floor?
Hello. Please help me. I’m in the process of applying the sealer to the driveway and I’ve tried 3 different sprayers even one similar to yours in the video and they function very poorly its taking me forever which pump are you using the driveway is over 3000sq ft i believe i used 21 bags of sand
Decent tutorial. I would prefer as a homeowner to not have a “shiny spot” on my adjoining cement sidewalk or other non-sealed surfaces. Maybe use a small shield avoids overspray.
I got my pavers sealed for the wet look, and after it rained, I have left over wet spots all over the pavers where apparently the pavers had imperfection “low” spots, what now?
Great demo - thanks! I missed the answer on the name of the product you used. Is it available in satin and semi-gloss? Is it water-based? I love that it gives the pavers a wet look. Do all sealers do that?
It's only necessary to back roll the sealant if you have textured pavers in its puddling, or you are using a chemical base instead of a water based sealant.
Only a water-based breathable sealer in concrete pavers. If they were recently manufactured concrete pavers they still have moisture inside of them that would get locked in with a "film forming" sealer like an oil based. If the moisture gets locked in, the pavers will turn white. If they are a natural stone you just need to make sure they are bone dry, and not installed over a concrete slab. If there is slab under the pavers preventing Drainage under the stone or concrete pavers you must use a breathable sealer so that moisture also does not get trapped and turn into efflourecence.
Once I was almost 40 ft up on a ladder trying to remove a rust stain off brick on the side of a house. Caught too big of a whiff of that stuff almost fell off the ladder got lucky. That stuff is serious stuff
Via Tim "It most definitely can, especially if there's travertine around the pool. My recommendation would be to go with a semi-gloss, not a high gloss around any area that's going to have moisture most of the time.
Bro put some tape down on the concrete . And you should be back rolling . 2 coats is a must n u should be up selling a clear polymer arrogate for grip n texture
We prefer water-based semi-gloss. When using a water-based sealant you can go over it with a chemical or oil-based sealant but not the other way around.
Also when using oil-based you have to have dry weather for at least 48 hours before and 48 hours after the application. Whereas the water base you can usually do right after pressure washing.
@@blkeyedpea6334 The semi gloss is not slippery, we use it all the time and don't have that problem. The brand is Cobble LOC - Wet look appearance -Semi gloss finish.
Must not be a northern climate sealer. I need to know how to seal blocks to prevent water from freezing between and breaking things up, and what product to use for sealing from water. Thanks.
From Tim the guy in the video. "I actually lived up north and the only way to seal water from coming into block wall for such as a basement for whatever storm cellar fruit seller, whatever it may be would have to expose all the wall block on the outside and seal it usually with a tar-like substance. I lived in Michigan just south of Detroit for 12 years and I went through that and that's what we had to do and never had an issue after that. Royal pain but it's well worth it because you never have to worry about it again if done properly. As far as sealing from water it all depends are you sealing a pipe or are you sealing a roof or pavers?"
Great tutorial and wonderful teaching style. Thanks.
Thanks so much!
Are you currently doing a paver job?
How long do you have to wait before you can drive on it is it your typical 24 48 hours.
Thanks for being here for us. 😎
Good tutorial. Please wear gloves and protective eye wear when working with acid. I learned the hard way.

Great video! We’re in California. How much would I charge a customer to do this?
There’s so many sealers out there can I ask what kind of sealer you were using brand

Tim what sealant product should I use for my Pavers???
Greg we use Cobble Loc - Matte or Semi-Gloss

What brand paver sealant do you use. Can it be bought at Lowe’s or
Home Depot?

My thoughts exactly..what's wrong with a quick strip of painter's tape..
You can always put down some painters heavy-duty plastic
Yea I use a aluminum guard with a handle. They make it for sealing. It’s like 2’ tall by 2.5’ wide

Very helpful but what kind of sealer?
What sealer do you use? I want a wet look. Are there different finishes?
What’s normal cost? And recommend best products on the market?
So how long do you tell the customers to not walk on the walkway? And if you doing the driveway, how long before they can drive on it again?
Do I need to wait for paver to dry?
What paver sealant do you use?
Question... When using polymeric sand do you still need to wet the polymeric with water if you are spraying with sealer??
Yea. We waited a day after putting the sand down then wetting it and then 1 day later sealing
@@rfern8102 same. Then another 24 hours 2nd coat of sealer.
Do you spray water over the sand ?
The results are amazing, thank you so much for sharing
Do you seal lanai? Is it supposed to be sealed also
Nice information. By the way, can we know what is the product you use? Is water based sealer good for states like OH? Appreciate your time.

Yes.
What type of acid do you use in the beginning of the video
love that backyard!
Can i use this acid on outdoor granite steps for cleaning?
Where can I get a prof. sprayer like the one you have? I JUST WENT THRU 5 Husq SPRAYERS THAT FAILED!
I looked it up for you
@@adam_sings pLEASE RESEND!
EWJ - do you find the need to back roll the sealer after applying? If yes, how often do you back roll the sealer after spraying it on?
How would you repair a paver that is cracked? Would you fill it with sika flex or something similar?
If you try to repair it, it will still look like a crack. I think the best option for a crack is just replacing the paver with a new one.
what brand os sealer do you use on the pavers?
Looks good. Do you guys ever back roll the sealers? Just curios if two coats are needed
It's only necessary to back roll the sealant if you have textured pavers in its puddling, or you are using a chemical base instead of a water based sealant.
can i just lay my bricks down without anything between them, because i was gong to use pathway edging to stop them moving ?
How much do you charge for this particular job?
Thank you Tim
Thank You 🙏🏼
You’re welcome 😊
Good morning do you to pressure wash if they’re new and is it ok to add sealer right after a in new install

What sealer can I use that last a long time and dosent turn white after couple of months
Turn white because you apply a lot....

Hey do you recommend high gloss around pools..will it become slippery when wet?

Hi, I have leaf stains in my paver patio, what product could I use to remove them?
I have a product called Cobble clean. It removes rust stains and vegetation stains and a general all-purpose cleaner for pavers.
I am told if you have sand in between your pavers that you should not use a brush you should not use a brush but sprayer instead?
