I got a PlayStation 5 last year of October 2023 from Best Buy as a Birthday gift/ Christmas gift for myself and I love the console so much couldn't believe how huge it is when I took it out the box I do have the original OG PlayStation 5 not the slim but congratulations on finally getting a PlayStation 5
The first version really is huge! But, great choice for a present, I would say... Thank you! It truly brings out the inner child again, which is always a positive thing, in my opinion!
It will be worth the patience! I think the time will pass faster than you think. Also, regularly check the Amazon page - from time to time, the PS5 Slim is reduced in price ($100 discount a few weeks ago).
You can use your PlayStation entirely without an internet connection. If you don't have an internet connection all the time, you can just connect it for system updates and to download updates and upgrades for different games.
