Well each gym and trainer I'm sure does things a little differently. Where i trained we always used the heavier gloves during traing for greater resistance. 4oz may not sound like much but after training with them everyday for a couple of hours it felt like you could punch all day in the lighter fight gloves
roger the master mitt man atlewast for style mitt work. i dont think it helps in boxing too much but it does take mad skill and hes the best. i always thought visual rec mitts was kinda pointless but i see where it has advantages. keep it up roger you need to train others. try helping some of us white boys get that mitt work down haha
Actually mitt work like this is designed for your reflexes,helps you catch punches,roll with punches and counter punches. Mitts are good for practicing combinations and although you have a static opponent can be applied in a fight.
