They called it running away. Like floyd said the game is to hit and not get hit. His era of fighting was graceful like muhammad ali. It might look not entertaining but percentage of hits or jabs was at its best. They want him like to be like rocky or be like some boxers back and the day take a hit and then opposition take a hit for entertainment. that fighting style you support can u get brain damage. Mayweather fighting style for this boxing of era is in full affect. Look at these young bulls fight now by using their minds instead of physicality. They are not trying to knock u out with one punch, they are trying to break you down. Give mayweather that credit. He also change the game by being your own promoter because you are the brand and you don't need a don king stealing your money.

UFC literally made its Octagon ring smaller to ensure they increase actual fighting & decrease running around dead time. Fans + Analysts love this move.
This tells you what Floyd Trashweather does is not boxing, it’s called running around (cardio).
If people saw Mohammed Ali fighting AND then saw a Mayweather fight after, people would either fall asleep or walk out of the building.
Mayweather is a cancer for boxing. (1) He doesn’t actually box, he runs inside the ring (2) he’s historically picked his fights to fight washed opponents or inferior fighters to ensure he boosts his “undefeated” record.
Mayweather ain’t no Ali, Sugar, Tyson, Chavez Sr, Trinidad.

Exactly, all the best fighters somewhat decline physically sooner or later.
People say “oh you’re not the best because you didn’t beat _____ or you didn’t do this yet” or whatever,
But what most guys don’t teach is that, it is VERY possible to become the best fighter, even if not at ALL skills, maybe talent wise, speed wise, IQ, Defense, Power, Inside game etc.
but only the best for so long before you decline.

One thing that really stands out is how effective he is when cornered against the ropes. Mayweather never seems to lose his composure and even uses such disadvantages to generate offense with his speed and anticipation. Even in the few times he did actually take some hard punches, he never let his guard down and start wildly swinging in a desperate attempt to recover. He has more leverage and agility to move when his torso is in that position. I wonder if other fighters took that very stance going up against him, would they be successful with it or not? 💁🏽‍♀️

Floyd fights while running really. This is only highlights. In 1-12 rounds of his fight, he punches while backing up most of the time. In a fighter’s point of view, they have to really work hard to catch him. Floyd destroys them mentally first by crushing their patience because fighters really want a toe to toe exhibition. After that, Floyd just jabs them the rest of the fight. Smart.

He retired with his health and wealth, he doesn't even need to fight. he can literally do a sparring session and get millions, because ppl pay to see him lose. Their hate makes him rich😆.

At 7:45, slow the video down to 0.5 playback speed, and watch how Floyd EFFORTLESSLY slips Canelo's punches, even when he's at close range. People who have never boxed before have no idea how insanely difficult that is to do. THAT is what makes Floyd so great.
