Nadiya is such a powerful force for kindness and understanding! A true role model! Thank you, Nadiya!
"Did you actually write it yourself?"
"You do seem to be the real deal"
"I'm impressed you can be a professional chef while not eating a thing for 30 days"
"Is this recipe one that you took from someone else?"
"You say you did very well in your 'O' levels and you went on to 'A' levels yet you didn't go to university? Tell me a bit about that because some people might find that weird"
"Do you think you could have won Masterchef or do you think you won Bake Off because it played to your strengths?"
Did someone really tell her to ask these questions? They're bordering on nasty, like the interviewer. She kept trying to take Nadiya down several notches, with every other question, but Nadiya kept knocking her questions out of the park. Good on you Nadiya.
Horrible horrible questions. The usually cheerful Nadia seems exhausted speaking to her.
OMG there are more of those questions!! I can't stand the host's attitude and lost my interest on hearing what she have to ask..after 4 minutes.
I thought it was just me..until I saw others comments.
Why is the interviewer so focused on race? and constantly belittling Nadia's religion! Nadia did well avoiding her rude questions! What a wonderful woman
Because she's a racist pig.
Nadiya has a sincerity which is rare to see and a joy to watch.
I think Nadiya is fanastic. As a Canadian, it seemed strange how the interviewer kept steering the conversation to the subject of race. It was so unnecesary and actually quite rude.
Marilinaa Nadia is a national treasure and perfect role model.
I let her have it above👆
how do you start by asking an author if they WROTE the damn book???
Jewell Lynn I know, bizarre, right? Not to mention very rude.
Didn't like the way Kate Spicer quizzed Nadiya in such a rude way. Learn to interview in a friendly way, it was so cold and weird
I know right!! it really pisses me off, Nadiya was soo nice to her.
jannasalam I agree. She came across as condescending and rude . As if she wants a reason to insult her. I think it is bigotry .
Yes she did. Horrid interviewer/interviewing style.
jannasalam OMG trust me!! You could tell Nadia felt so uncomfortable
Kate Spicer seemed bare stuck up
Yelp see my comments above
What a lady Nadiya is!!! An unparalleled role model for women, working women, Muslim women and committed citizenship really. I love you.
"You do seem to be the real deal" so her whole agenda was to tear her apart as she never felt/believed she was authentic? kind of felt her hostility throughout the interview,Nadiya was having to defend every question, which she did with ease. Please lets not have this interviewer again.
Let's pray Nadiya perfects aggression to defend herself against this type😁
"Not eating a thing for 30 days"?? OMg the ignorance is shocking!!
Nadiya is honestly one of the sweetest and most humble people I've ever seen on tv. Faith, colour, gender, circumstance or whatever, she's wonderful. If an arranged marriage worked for her that's great. I know many non arranged marriages that have failed so what does it matter? It's her choice. She's a strong woman who knows how strong she is so the only important thing is her character and that's incredible ❤️
I have watched a few of these now. Why did she ask Nadiya whether she wrote the book or not? Nadiya is a talented, wonderful woman, maybe The Pool need to review who they choose to interview and also up the quota of interesting, talented, intelligent, established AND up and coming people of colour.
kate spicer who the hell is she? she couldn't interview an ant!! nadiya you are a legend. xx
Interviewer seems like one of those hater pretending to b nice
Wow I don't like this interviewer I don't like her tone and she's quite rude.
OMG Nadiya is SOOOO beautiful!! she is wifey goals!!
Rude interviewer
dear nadiya.. I love your recipes and I love your integrity. I am a Bangladeshi myself. We here in Bangladesh have a number of sweet delicious desserts which exists in Bangladeshi cuisine itself. Sweets after dinner is a MUST among almost all Bangladeshi families. and we definitely dnt fill up ourselves with fruit before dinner! PUDDING is a favourite and a must have at least twice a month. We do have baking ovens at most homes now but back then we had stove ovens and we still use the stove ovens for a type of dessert called "pitha" and mind you, we have a 25-30 kinds of various "pitha" and all "baked" using stove-pot-ovens. To name a few of the sweet or "mishti" as we call them in Bangla, we have mishti doi (sweet yogurt; a big favourite again), roshogolla(spongy-soft round mishtis, soaked in sugar syrup), malai chom chom, payesh, raj bhog, kalo jaam, chaanr jelapi, laddo, darbesh, rasmalai, shondesh, and the list goes on. Please visit Bangladesh and visit some of the most famous sweet shops. Oh I am sure you have heard or seen how big fat weddings are in Bangladesh? We never let our guests go without feeding them "mishti". I personally LOVE eating mishti after dinner or even lunch or just any meal haha. Our cultural cuisine is rich and we Bangladeshis love eating. I cordially invite you to come and visit Bangladesh I would love to show you around and wnt let you go without feeding you the delicious cuisine which represents our Bangladesh. With love...
If I had to comment on some cuisine right now I would make sure I know at least the general basics n then talk. suppose just because us bengalis call the "flan" as the "pudding", doesnt mean we already dnt knw the difference or from where it was originated. its the basics. any speaker should be careful of what they speak you cant take the risk and say sth wrong on an international level. she is extremely talented and wish her all the best.
+Ashiqur Rahman i agree with you in the sense that it is to do with upbringing but my parents were working class immigrants and we still had mishti and a bloody working oven and were educated.
sbegum246 lol I agree she may be from a poor village in Bangladesh but that doesn't mean we all are I'm a British born sylheti Bangladeshi and we have all the resources in Bangladesh whether it be ovens or frdige freezers everything! But I guess she thinks Evey where I bdesh is the same as her village it's not her fault as she admitted on her series that she never been anywhere apart from her village. She's still a nice person
Don't like this presenter she is really rude
She's such a nice person!!
Kate Spicer is sometimes a guest judge on Masterchef and she always seems sour. She even looks sour. I was really surprised when she said she has a boyfriend.
is she there with connections not merit
I enjoyed this. Thank you very much!
This TV host is so rude, bringing my blood to boil. Get lost! Nadiya you are great!!!!!!!
Terrible interviewer
This interviewer is so rude to Nadiya. Nadiya is lovely ❤
Desert's been always a part of Bangladeshi culture. Kheer, Payesh, Roshogolla, Barfi, Halua, All pithas during winter & many more are the deserts of Bangladesh. Please represent your country in a truthful way Nadiya. We are proud of you. Love from Bangladesh.
You know what ?
There are difficult questions but now we know more about her because of them.
Questions are meant to bring out emotions.
Also I want to believe that the interviewer is a nice, non judgemental lady just wanting to have an honest conversation.
Unfortunately wanting to believe it doesn't change the fact that Kate is just a disgusting person .
Nadiya watching all your videos ..u are an amazing awesome brilliant n fantastic gorgeous person ..God bless u always...luv u👌💝🌹💞🙏🙏🙏💯
You're such an inspiration to me keep it up Nadia
This interviewer is baffling me. So rude and condescending. I was cringing watching it in parts. The FIRST question she asks Nadiya is "Did you write your book yourself?" Why is she trying to drag her down so much???
Because she's trying to distract others from how wonderful Nadiya is.
I love her so much 💕😍
Nadiya..a class all her own. Well done !! Ignore that ignorance sweet girl.!!! 😊
Great Nadia Hussain
Very nice ❤❤
shes amazing
The fasting slip ups made me laugh 😂 . It reminded me of my poor mom on Ash Wednesday and Good Fridays completely forgetting that they were fast days and cooking stews, shepherd's pies or even a big roast beef 🐄 dinner on one occasion and we would keep shtum demolishing the meal as fast as possible because gaurenteed about half way through she would realise what she had done and start crying and trying to take the food from us! Imao it never worked !
Interviewer is a joke
' I need to ask you did you write it yourself ' well duh!
Love her!
Hey I love snowballs now!!
Nadiya is such a wonderful girl so well versed and fantastic role model for a British aspiring women. The host is lousy ...needs schooling herself
Loved this. As an aside, what colour are your kitchen walls? Beautiful.
Wow so much micro aggression can't stand that lady...this interview is a mess she was clearly trying to bring her out of character...but Nadiya handled it GRACEFULLY.
My god the interviewer , she is trrribly condescending 😳 hard to watch , Nadya is sooooo patient
the interviewer first came across as a little snobbish and sniffy but seemed to relax and warm up as the interview progressed. terrible choice of opening question though.
This interviewer is so miserable, it’s unreal. Hats off Nadiya for your decency, self-confidence, honesty and humbleness ❤
nadiya i love you and admire you a lot. Its impossible not to love you 😘 you are successful and so down to earth 🌏 yet funny.
This interviewer seems lacking in empathy and not really a “people person” at all. There was something very strange about the interview technique and I think Nadiya did really well. The only reason I watched this to the end was because of Nadiya. It would’ve been nice to have a warm person doing the interview. A rare fail for the Pool.
I agree with k she the interviewer 's biases very visible
This was difficult to watch. It seems as if the interviewer was out to find something to discredit Nadiya.
That's not true bangladesh do have lots of sweet dishes go and google it
Nadiya handled this interview with grace and humility. This interviewer was just plain awful....Rude, condescending...her demeanor is incredibly cold. My goodness.
Kate Spicer are u for real to come into this women's home and be indifferent ,questioning her abilities at every turn?u know what if u can't control your jealousy of Nadiya get out the kitchen.nadiya this sunflower is for u 🌻
Wow, what a horrible lady Kate is! Nadiya is such a lovely person, and such a talented cook. This interview would have been soon after she won the bake off, I hope she looks back on this, and laughs at the uneccessary arrogance of this awful woman!
The interviewer seems to be like what Diane Sawyer what was to Britney Spears. I have a girl on my course like this. Rude but at the same time so British so everyone else seem to think she was really nice 😂
22:26 what's P word? Sorry I'm not British.
The interviewer is inconspicuously racist. Nadia is amazing.
"I won't be juicing anytime soon". You are such an uninhibited pleasure, dear Nadiya.
Her questions were absolutely awful! However Nadia really showed her true beauty and grace unlike her host
Nadia should not appear to tris show. The host is rude and arrogant. Didn’t she knew that fasting not means ‘not eating anything in 30 days’ ? She could have just let Nadia to do her magic, cooking & baking with smile and love ❤❤❤
This interviewer is so gross! Wash your fingers woman! She keeps sticking her dirty fingers into her mouth, licking them, then touching the food, and shoving her filthy fingers back into her mouth, all the while continuing to interview Nadiya. That is nasty! Nadiya needs to tell this disgrace of a woman to go scrub her hands with hot water and soap before she's allowed to put her saliva smeared grubby hands on all the cherries and pop them on the tarts. So disgusting. This lady needs to be fired yesterday!
Glad I’m not the only one that found the presenter rude and lacking empathy. She’s baking with Nadiya and says “You know what these remind me of? Of those disgusting packet sweets...”
And that was her being polite!
I love Nadia ❤ 😍. This interviewer is a bit annoying, I'm not sure why.Shes probing into really personal stuff.She.seems so standoffish.
This interviewer is so rude, comments like " these remind me of those disgusting packet things called snowballs"...Asking.." did you write your own book? " did you write your recipes or they are someone else's? Etc. What a nasty woman, can't stand her...Nadiya was very classy, she is great.
Wonder who does her turbans..wonder if she doesn't it her self.. looks difficult to do .. how she manages to put it up so tight so itz secure on her t head ..
Eyebrows
Omg... this lady is so rude! Can’t believe she is asking such inappropriate questions.
I love Nadiya, but she has absolutely got it wrong to say Bangladeshis do not do dessert, what nonsense!!! Bangladeshi sweets, hello, extra sugary with lots of syrup. It's not fair to express these misconceptions and naive concepts because of her upbringing. I'm Bangladeshi, my parents are immigrants, i went to uni, we had an an oven that was used; our upbringing is completely different. She acts as if she's the first successful bengali and she's broken traditions. argh i'm beginning to see her in a different light!
Crestfire I refer to a number of appearances she's made, including on Loose Women, where she stated we don't do desserts.
Maybe she was brought up differently. Why do you have to make a big thing about it.
What was this video was about really “bashing Nadhiya” uff 😡😡😡
The interviewer obviously has low intellect. Her questioning is quite condescending & irritating.
Bloody guri
she has the nicest whitest natural teeth on earth
To be fair , a great deal of Chefs don’t write there own book ,they provide there recipes and they ave a team that will
arrange the foreword, photographs ,the research etc the end result is the final book but the main credit will go to
the chef . Towards the end of the interview Nadiya refers to “ The Team “ Thats behind her books .
The thing is Nadiya does contradict herself , self diagnosing herself with the label of having anxiety disorder,
everyone has times of anxiety, butterflies in the stomach feelings , who hasn’t felt nervous , like taking your driving test
It doesn’t mean you have a mental illness . I think there a things she should have waited till her children had at least finished
School . It seems like she is a bit desperate to keep the money rolling in and that’s why despite being a Muslim she now cooks
Bacon and chorizo ! I am beginning to question her and the more that comes out, I sadly do not trust her anymore and I
suspect her has interviewer has has picked up on . 🤥😧
Only one of those women comes across as fake and its not nayida! As for the bacon and chorizo she uses if you listened to what she says you would know that she doesn't use the original pork versions but ones made with turkey and or beef, but, I guess you were too busy to listen properly while you were trying to justify your self righteous indignation !?
horrible makeup. she was much prettier in GBBO
I'm sure she's devastated she couldn't live up to your expectations.
How many times do we have to hear about her dad being a chef blah blah blah dissing Bengali culture saying they don't eat sweet dishes saying Bengali parents don't send their daughters to uni etc she's a bloody disgrace
Maria Shayne if you dont want to hear the same blah blah about her dad then stop watching her videos
Maria Shayne fuck i can't belive how much people complain. she's right we bengali don't have desert after food.
Maybe she was brought up differently, she seems genuine to me.
I myself am Asian and I think Nadiya is a bit too dark to be an Asian. I initially thought she was black before later finding out that she is British Asian. I don't mean to sound racist and I am Asian. Anyway, she is a very talented girl and all the best to her.
Mr India C you clearly haven't walked the streets of India
what are you talking about? you clearly haven't met any other asians before. caucastions are all different shades of white same applies to any race any colour!!
Mr India C : she's a bit too dark ? What has that got to do with anything ?! God creates what He wills. She is Bangladeshi - Bangladeshis come in different shades - white , dark brown, even almost black.
I look like a Somalian guy, and some of my first cousins look as if they are Hispanic. That's the way it is in the Indian subcontinent, specially in Bangladesh.
Desert's been always a part of Bangladeshi culture. Kheer, Payesh, Roshogolla, Barfi, Halua, All pithas during winter & many more are the deserts of Bangladesh. Please represent your country in a truthful way Nadiya. We are proud of you. Love from Bangladesh.

why wud u say 'in a truthful way' as if she was lying? she was just talking about her experience, just because u can name a few desserts it doesnt mean they are part of her life and she lied about it
