  • Julila was born and raised in Kodiak, Alaska, with her two younger brothers and parents. At different times, both of her parents were imprisoned. When she was around 13 years old, her father moved the family to Anchorage. Fortunately, her aunt and grandmother were able to take care of them during this period.
After dropping out of high school for a year, Julila became pregnant with her first child. Fourteen months later, she had her second child. Both of her children are currently living with her mother.
Julila and her partner came to Seattle to take care of some family business for her father. Their car broke down and unfortunately, they have become stranded with no way to get back home.
This is part of her story.

How does she cope you ask? And drugs didn’t cross her mind? Clearly she’s doped up. I get everyone’s story is different but I’m from Seattle and still live here and I’m so over all of the homeless people who are addicted and don’t try to get themselves out of it. You can’t walk down the street without almost stepping on a needle or passing a broke down RV.

Stop drinking/taking drugs, get a job and if you have family in Alaska, won't they help you get home?

      It’s not that easy…
They don’t want to follow any rules, from family, friends, professionals or anyone else.
They create their own rules and expect everyone else to follow them.
No respect, gratefulness or remorse. They steal you blind and blame others.
I realize this story is different, I’m talking about the ones that have everything, parents who love them and tried everything but have to protect the rest of the family.
      It’s heartbreaking..
