I have a really nice Bulova Chrono dress watch, when someone asks what kind of watch I'm wearing I pronounce it "Baluvah" it gives it an Omega "Ohmeegah" James Bond Casino Royal aesthetic, people usually follow that with "..beautiful." hope that helps, Good update/review video, subbed

Fit OutPost sure thing! I know with lots of these watches they can be hit or miss so I wanted to at least share my own personal experience to help others make their decisions. The second one I have received is doing just fine and hasn’t had any problems yet so it’s worth noting that too! 😎👍
Totally agree David.. . It wouldn’t take much to rectify the problem.. They have to get onto their supplier and tell them to up their game or they won’t be in business for long.. No one wants a watch that you can’t rely on .
Limit expectations.. The very basic foundation of any watch is that it works properly and tells the time regardless of the price .. it’s useless if it doesn’t meet this criteria
Ebay takes care of customers. I am a full time Ebay seller. You have at least 30 days on ebay. Even if the seller says no returns. They have to Take Returns.. You simply file the return ebay will give you a shipping label. In fact when a dispute is opened ebay will hold the amount from the sellers acct to refund you. I hope you will bring this up in another video. As the new payment system on ebay is only a few months old. Where in they hold the money of the amount of the dispute.

AliExpress is cheaper and they have a return policy as well. Nothing to worry about. If there’s a problem with an item you open a dispute and you’ll get your money.

Didun Homage, I got the Didun Homage (identical to the FEICE) and had the same problem with the movement, if I pull out the crown to set the time it doesn't start again, need to give it a shake to get it going. Didun is also offline now...hit and miss, still I love this watch. I my PARNIS IWC homage movement looks and seem to be handle way better.
I’m actually going to do an update for my Feice. It died on me, no more movement regardless of hand wind or automatic. I am in contact with Feice and will see what they say regarding warranty coverage options
Frank Withers so I need to do a video on it, but basically Feice wants me to ship it out to China and they will replace it, but with everything going on I think I’m gonna just hold off and mail it off maybe later this year.
The Feice has positional asphyxia! I'm still waiting on mine to arrive, it went to the wrong address....I got my Rocos Nautilus homage a week ago, keeping good time but some bracelet problems and noticeable debris in the caseback, I'm thinking about sending it back for another one.
Man, sorry to hear about the shipment going to the wrong address! Yeah, I have a feeling these watches are just one of those "send it back and hope for a better one" kind of things. Its a shame because otherwise they are done really well looks-wise. I hope you get a flawless one back! Dave
That is definitely possible. This was one of the first automatic watches I had owned so I may have been careless and made that exact mistake. I’m much more cognizant when winding/adjusting them now! 😎🍻👍
Would you choose this or the Didun Design David? I think I prefer the logo of the Didun and the price, but with the mixed QC it is hard to pull the trigger. Looks like the Feice has more refinement and quality for the doubling of price.
Sebastian Elgar-Cocks hey Sebastian, it’s hard to say man. I haven’t held the Didun in hand to compare them side by side. From the reviews I’ve seen, they do appear to be hit or miss on QC of them. I personally think the movement looks cooler on the DD, but finishing on the Feice appears to be much better. I’m biased in recommending the Feice but I also gotta point out the DD doesn’t say “original” like the Feice does. That may be a deal breaker for some. I really hope someday I can get a DD in hand to compare, sounds like that’d help a lot of guys out. Thanks for commenting and I wish I could be more immediate help in your decision man.

The quality control of these homages (esp. with Chinese movements) are hit or miss. If you are going to get an identical watch, perhaps try another homage brand? I see some Corgeut homages on eBay that are also royal oak homages but carry Miyota movements. Great vid as always!

The more expensive Chinese movements are actually better than some seiko and Miyota movements. NH35 is vastly overrated, my PT5000 movements are all better than my NH35 movements.
It was the right width, but the thickness at the lugs was too much so it gives a strange bulk and would not work with this particular homage. I was able to successfully find a rubber strap that was aftermarket for the RO that worked perfectly!
@@DavidSchwartzjr I have close to 50 watches. Most are homages of terribly expensive watches I could never afford. I have only 2 non-chronographs. I favor chronograph watches of at least 40mm to 52mm. I like your collection.
It's a uni directional rota. If the watch winder isn't turning in the right direction the watch will run down. Alternatively it's knackered. Didun Design make a nice homage to the Royal Oak, for about £75. I used to own one and had no issues. ua-cam.com/video/SFMiONGxjYo/v-deo.html
Casing and finishing is actually quite good . It’s a pity that the movements are garbage . Clearly they are being assembled very poorly probably in an unsterile environment. It’s not acceptable
Yeah, it's bittersweet to see because it could be so much better and for probably not more than $50 more in overall cost. I hope they get things improved because it really is a great homage for the AP.

Hello, and thanks! So, the lug to lug height of this one is 52.25mm but with the way the links bend at the lugs, it extends to about 55mm which is right up there with the AP royal oak offshore size. It really doesn't wear that large though in my opinion, hope that helps! Dave
David Schwartz bravo for the super fast reply! 👏🏼 Too bad for me, I have tiny 6.25 inch wrists. This means every watch above 49mm lug to lug length is a “no go” for me :( Btw have you every heard of the brand D1 Milano? I see that they make 38mm, 40mm and 41.5mm Royal Oak style watches. Maybe I will pull the trigger on a 38mm one in the next few months...

What's kind of odd is that a lot of these homage watches I come across seem to all be very large for some reason that I do not understand. David Schwartz it seems like every homage watch brands (and most micro brands as well) are all on board the “oversized watch train”. Brands like Seiko, Tissot, Orient and even new ones like Borialis, Raven and D1 Milano prove that there is a very big market for small watches (less than 40mm in diameter). Would love to see you do a review of D1 Milano; their Ultra-thin and Automatic offerings look really nice! 👌🏼
I haven't had the need to service any of my watches yet, as they are all about a year old or less. I would probably take this one to a professional for servicing at 5 years or if I notice any irregularities or problems.
@@DavidSchwartzjr this is what always concerns me about mechanical watches because of service/maintenance. Whereas as my g-shock solar i've had it for 10 years and i've never had to do any maintenance on it. It's the sheer convenience of a solar watch that kept me from buying mechanical watches.
@@billythekid1638 Yeah, I can definitely see the argument against mechanical watches for that reason. There is always the chance that servicing may not be needed for that time period as well, I think there's a lot of factors that go into it. I would say, with the reliable options you have, such as the g-shock you mentioned, maybe still get a mechanical one here or there to enjoy from time to time but not as a sole daily wearer. I'd think of it like a classic car, they look amazing restored and have lots of charm, but they lack air bags, ABS brakes, etc, and there's a high chance they'll need a little more TLC over time. At the end of the day, it's just a watch, have some fun. :)

Yeah, I always try really hard to avoid doing date changing between 10pm and 5am, but its possible that I may have made a mistake on this one causing it to become damaged. Its hard to say, but I am even MORE careful now lol. Thanks for the comment man, you are definitely correct! 😎👍

chinese watches sometimes have crap in them. I had one with a tiny washer, 3 filings and 2 little fluf pieces.

Perhaps you adjusted the date when the time was plus or minus 4 hours to midnight. That can ruin the automatic movement.

Maybe get a refund and buy an AP Royal Oak. They don’t have a Chinese movement in them. But they are a touch more expensive.

If you wanna go cheap go for quartz, that's my suggestion
the strap you ordered is for an offshore model. doubt its compatible

I personally don't care if it works, it's just a fashion piece even if it's a genuine watch. We all have smartphones now for 'time' so yea..

Did u set the date while the watch was in the danger zone
I don't believe so. It's definitely possible, but I always try really hard to make sure I don't adjust that date between like 10pm-5am just in case.
