The 5th episode was very good at adding more layers to Alastor. We now know about qhat he dislike, what he like, a little pre history, his friends, and yet again his powers in all glory.
After watching episode 6, Adam not knowing that Alastor is at the Hotel is going to be amazing. Here's hoping that Alastor pushes Adam's shit in like it's nothing. OK, I was wrong
Adam is a angel and angels are far above demons in power. I don’t know how powerful Adam is since a regular exorcist got killed by an overlord but it's possible that he would wipe the floor with Alastor. I mean lucifer one of the stronger angels could kill all overlords with ease if he wanted to.
Since Adam is a Human Soul in heaven with extraordinary power, we can assume he's an equivalent type of angel to Alastor's demon. But we've seen angel and demon equivalents duke it out before, and they were pretty even... except the demons in the fight were highly trained assassins who were all top of their league fighters, whilst the angels were effectively completely untrained fighters. Yet the CHERUBS were giving IMP an even go at it. Needless to say, unless Adam is seriously slacking off between exterminations, Alastor is the one getting the reality check.
To be fair, not only is he the strongest entity in hell (and was fairly powerful as an angel since he was a seraphim at that), but when you think about it, this is just an average day in hell since… well, it’s _hell._
Either he saw the head and concluded that the next extermination would be truly apocalyptic, and that he thus should side with the only person with a plan to prevent it even if that plan seemed insane; or he genuinely is starting to get caught up in Charlie's dream and has begun to imagine an afterlife for himself that could be forever free of the constant strife of Hell. I'm curious to find out which.

Or...you know if the theories are right and if his leash holder is Lilith, then getting cozy with Charlie to use her as a means to free himself is the actual plan and his "entertainment" is just a half-lie where it his entertaining to him but it's true enough to cover his real intentions.

Alastor appears to have many forms, the form showed here uses more power so it makes sense as to why his voice changes to a more demonic tone. In episode 2 Alastair only shows a small version of his true demonic self which is why his voice isn’t low like on this episode.
I love the the touch of whispered double speak in Alistair demonic state. You still hear his radio voice but beneath it you hear another. A more plain but present whisper following each word.
I love the fact that Alastor's skin darkens so much when he goes all out here, it feels like a nod to his Creole heritage, as though that's somehow tied to his powers.

Helluva boss was good for explaining hierarchies in the lower regions such as hellborns being below sinners because sinners get far stronger when they die, as well as explaining how certain sins can determine how a sinner looks in hell, it also have us a major understanding of how the rings work and other things

Actually Alastor is ranked low in Hell. The Goetias(Stolas and his family), the Sins and the morningstars are all above him. So Stolas is enough to handle him, confirmed by Viv as well.
There are actually alot of people in hell that is stronger. The ars Goetia like Stolas, the 7 deadly sins, Charlie (yes even her), and then Lilith and Lucifer.
Alastor is not even close to the top of hell's power, but he makes more demonstrations of his strength, and as those above him do not, not this false impression of inferiority. Alastor is exceptional for an overlord and he's respectable for that, but we're done here.

Like he used to have forms that were much creepier that could send a shiver but when you see the transformation looking worse and worse each time it just doesn't seem scary anymore- it's like if Alastors whole story plot was that he is "scary"
Well it’s implied that Alastor’s full form is one where his eyes are just radio dials and not dials inside his eyes, his antlers are thrice as long and he’s shown to turn into a sort of a circus tent with several monsters crawling out

tbh it felt jarring because he didn't even really change his form like the other demons did, he just grew in size. kinda wish they'd leaned more on the wendigo-esque and radio traits he's known for instead of turning him into a titan lmao

I'm wondering if those are hellborn loan sharks or if sinners that were loan sharks get the same appearance as them (I'm mostly wondering because they lack the rings in their eyes unlike the loan sharks we've seen so far in helluvaboss)
Helluva boss was good for explaining hierarchies in the lower regions such as hellborns being below sinners because sinners get far stronger when they die, as well as explaining how certain sins can determine how a sinner looks in hell, it also have us a major understanding of how the rings work and other things

This honestly felt kind of out of character for Alastor. He hasn’t seemed to be the type for flashy displays of power.
I think it's just because Lucifer was there. The entire episode he acted a bit out of character and I think it's only because Lucifer got under his skin.

He was in a bad mood, and got to take out his anger on the loan sharks. But Alastor is pretty flashy with power when he wants to be.
I think those were the natural born hellspawn demons from the ring of envy. we see them in helluva boss but I'm wondering if they also took up residence in the pride ring since we see them in the greed ring too. if I'm correct, that would make what alastor did to them so much worse since they wouldn't "respawn".
No the Loan Sharks are FROM the Greed Ring and make up most of it''s population along with Imps.... Envy presumably has people like Glitz and Glam.

Actually Alastor is ranked low in Hell. The Goetias(Stolas and his family), the Sins and the morningstars are all above him. So Stolas is enough to handle him, confirmed by Viv as well.
There are actually alot of people in hell that is stronger. The ars Goetia like Stolas, the 7 deadly sins, Charlie (yes even her), and then Lilith and Lucifer.
Alastor is not even close to the top of hell's power, but he makes more demonstrations of his strength, and as those above him do not, not this false impression of inferiority. Alastor is exceptional for an overlord and he's respectable for that, but we're done here.
