@@MtOlympusRC I did add to the wheels in the front but went to heavy 1.0 wheel with the dj crawler comp pins with the 2 stage inserts it’s the same as the stock set up then I did heavy wheel hex’s in the front and brass rc awd servo mount with linkage and links and drive shaft all metal with rc awd 20% overdrive gears in the front I’m mixing and matching from the fx118 and cr18p and the evo parts
I received mine (brushless version) today. I feel like a kid on Christmass.😄 Do you feel too much play in the transmission ? A 1/8 turn on the wheel on my truck. Not a big deal. Still looking for metal drive shafts. Do you have a link to find yours ?
I’ve got 1-1/4” of play from the portals to the motor. There is a lot of slop in just the portals alone. This is the one I got. It’s still shipping. (I’m a little nervous it won’t fit.) they are super back ordered. www.helidirect.com/products/hobbyplus-steel-u-joint-drive-shaft-set-for-cr-18-2pcs
100% make sure you have your driveshafts phased right. These will walk the pins quickly if you dont. Also id throw some heat shrink over them @MtOlympusRC
@@Griffin283 I do forget to look at the fx118 parts but there are still loads more options for the TRX4m and scx24’s so that what I went with on my first build. I am currently building my Evo pro up so I will for sure have to keep in mind the fx118 upgrades.
@@MtOlympusRC I’m right there with ya! Picked up a TRX4M as my first mini due to the massive aftermarket support. Now it doesn’t have a single Traxxas part😭 the Evo Pro Brushless is next
If you like the EVO PRO you’ll love this custom SCX24.

Hey! It was great meeting you! That is a sweet crawl spot! Thanks for the shout out!!!
It was great to meet you as well! Hope to see you at some events!!!
Love the crawlers! I'm working on an Evo purchase. Great information on the differences, thanks buddy! See you out crawlin!
Hopefully I helped in your decision! It’s an awesome crawler!
I threw some comp pins and a lot weight up front 0 in the back and lowered the suspension on my brushless evo and it’s amazing
What did you use to add weight? There doesn’t seem to be too many options. (I am avoiding adding to the wheels.

You have to mix and match with the EVO PRO right now. There aren’t many option.
By moving the sprung weight to the front aslow as possible, not just adding more weight (brass) to the front
And overdrive the front portal gears
Do they make overdrive gears?

And you want unsprung weight to lower the center of gravity
Hit me up if you want a scale hard body for your evo pro!
I’ve seen those bodies! They are clean!!! Have you showed the Micro Crawler Club Facebook group? I’ll bet it will get some interest there!!!
You have to get your weight to 60-40 front heavy
I’m shooting for 70-30 so I’m looking into options for adding weight up front.
Do they make an over drive gear for the front?
@@MtOlympusRCany fx118 parts should be compatible with this. Plenty of overdrive options as well as brass portal covers etc

@@Griffin283 you won’t regret it!!! I’m working on the lizard body right now. I’m in the design phase of the livery on it.
