Mt Olympus RC
Приєднався 4 лип 2023
My mission with Mt Olympus RC is to get others into the world of RC and inspire them to pursue their goals!
My story:
I finished a pretty awesome college soccer career in 2011 and a year later sustained an injury that would prevent me from playing the sport I knew and loved since I was 4 years old. It has been a struggle with many ups and downs over the last 10 years to find a hobby, or a lifestyle to take its place. Early in 2023 I bought my first hobby grade car and life has never been the same. I love tinkering with the cars as much as I love driving them and I know this is just the beginning.
So join me as my adventure drives forward, no pun intended but that worked out nicely. I have some amazing plans for the channel and I hope you’ll all join me as we discover new places and travel to some awesome destinations!!!
WELCOME TO MT OLYMPUS RC!!!

I think i spent 5K in the last 4 years.
That’s not terrible :). Those 10 dollar purchases add up quick on you for sure.
Nice 👍
Happy Anniversary!
Thank you thank you!!!
Nice rocks looked like a lot of fun out there. 👍 The Evo looks like it hold its own against the comp.
Cool thing about those “rocks” is that they are concrete. I’m thinking about doing some at my house.
I had no idea there were competitions like that. It looked like a lot of fun! Where was it at?
That one was at Sugar House Park.
Nice job with the video!
Thanks! That comp was a ton of fun!!!
You lost me at the fast forward and anoying audio
Would you have rather seen the truck crash a bunch and lengthen the video?
Happy Independence day to all the Americans on the channel! ❤❤
Thank you! Where are you from???
Happy 4th it’s nice to see the rigs out I’d be there all day at that mini indoor area but I definitely prefer outdoors on the rocks but the heat has made it to my area but I’ll go to some cooler areas tomorrow.
It’s good to hear from you! Today I went up to 10,000 feet and had a hoodie on. Sadly I left my batteries at home so I settled for fishing.
First ever video from Mt Olympus RC: ua-cam.com/video/ltqKXibl7M0/v-deo.htmlsi=Umh9VJXZBbpBTIzT
Great video. I'm kinda surprised you don't have any fcx24 rigs, they are a great price and lots of upgrade parts out there I have the power wagon and the smasher great little rigs. Happy 4th to you
Thank you! An Fcx24 and 18 are for sure on the future list! I want to make a tow truck with a working crane on the back.
Its nice seeing a video like this for a change instead of the famous youtubers with all the extra shit they do. This feels more real and raw
Thanks! I want my videos to feel real that’s important to me.
1:12 So which one, those three years have extremely different body style. 57 fins, 55 no fins, the "Two Lane Blacktop" car, 56 not sure.
I wouldn’t say extremely different at all. The one I built is the 56. I really like the two tone paint on it. The two lane black top car is a 55. Yes the fins on the 57 are larger than the 55 and 56 the 55 is probably the least flashy looking and the 57 the most.
Great vid!!! I’m about 6 months in the hobby …. Nice info for my next build..
Glad I could have been of help! If you have any questions reach out on Facebook!
It's worth the price. A small size crawler can be used in the backyard for a quick session, as a 1/10 rig needs more space, far from home. A whole afternoon is required. Also, the spirit of this hobby is creativity. Building your own crawler. $500 is enough to get a nice 1/10 RTR car, but how frustrating to run the same, exactly, as your friends. Interesting video, and useful. Hope you'll get more subscribers.👍
I fully agree. The small scale to me is more fun and so much more practical! I would spend my money differently next time because we all know I’ll build more custom machines! Thank you for you comment and I hope so too!!!
Nice shirt!
@@brettfitzgerald7223right? I love Matt and his channel!
Looks good man!
Thanks! It came together super nice
That thing rips bro
Yeah it does! Thanks man!
That is so cool
Thanks man!!!
@@MtOlympusRC ya
Nice work man. I'll have to throw a car or two in my truck for a sesh after practice sometime.
Heck yeah!
I have been looking for a scale model body of a 1980's AMC - Eagle 4wd 2-Door Car for my Furitek - FX118 Fury Wagon. But I still have not been able to find the 2-door version available yet from any model manufacture.
We jumped an AMC eagle in high school. That was wild!!! I would say your next best option is to 3d print one. You may have to find someone who will print that for you but it could be worth it!
Nice build something’s builds just take the right time & vibe can’t wait to see it out on the rocks. Looks like ya picked up the Proline SCX body I just cut mine out & got the paint but I’m not even sure what I’m going to put it on but that’s the beauty of RC & we are lucky to have so many products & sources to make our visions co e to life. 👍👏👏
I love it! If I could do it again I would have painted the body better and added some more scale details to it. But the build was a challenge which was a lot of fun because I had to figure out how to overcome those. The body is actually the lizard body for the Evo Pro. It’s planned to be my comp body.
If you like the EVO PRO you’ll love this custom SCX24. ua-cam.com/video/B0F6hcJ-y5c/v-deo.htmlsi=_Gd67jInCg2IJoFh

Congrats she’s looking good. 🔥
Thank ya thank ya!!!
So awesome 😮
Thanks!!! The build is the journey and it’s freakin fun!!!
Ok
Alright
Nice!
I can’t wait for the video!
Sweet build
Thanks! It’s been a great time building it!
Ya I bet I’m working on a meus build right now
What are you building? What chassis are you using?
@@MtOlympusRC I have the meus mb 24 chassis kit and body I have inkora linkage injora brass beadlock rims dj crawler 72 mm comp pin tires and some 54 mm shocks
It’s great there are some videos on the channel Roam 574 that is me and my friends channel we just hit 200 subs to but it has rc and other things
is that a '57-ish Bel Air body?
Oohhhh someone knows classic cars. It’s not a 57 which is my second favorite. I’m so stoked for this reveal!!!
Nice build man! The top view of the tail light you showed it looked like a 55 or 6 Belair to me with 57 graphic on the side view! Any tri 5 body would look killer! Now a question. Are you still running plastic wheel hexes on the 2 Evos? Or have you found a metal one that works? You know my Fury wagon. I've spun a pin in 1 plastic hex and the other 3 probably won't last long. The Furitek brass won't work with my injora wheels according to a review I read. I tried the brass Treal hexes but pin diameter is too big for the Furitek axles shafts and stock pins were too short for the treal brass. Axle bound up. Maybe you have found a solution? Sorry for the long post. You rock dude! Keep it up and see ya on the rocks!!!
I am still running plastic ones. I’ll end up changing the brushless ones to brass but the brushed one is staying close to stock as possible. It’s a good baseline to test others against.
I feel the same way I don’t film very often I’m not partial good at it & the last few times I went out I just wanted to have fun & didn’t film at all. It’s kinda like work & due to life I’ve just needed more peace of mind lately. I did get my Evo Pro metal driveshafts & got them in I have new Injora tires on it that are awesome & my first run with them I finally broke the front driveshaft I have the brushless version so I already knew it was coming everyone pretty much said that was a weak spot.
I love filming and editing. I do love to drive without filming though. I like building and customizing as much as I like driving. My other “issue” is I like to race. I’ll be getting into buggy racing here in the future.
Cool 👍
Thank ya!
Looks awesome!! RC gets me out for sure! Exploring crawl spots. Evo pro looks real nice!
Thanks! It’s for sure a balancing act between home, work, coaching and RC life! I love getting out to new places and meeting new people.
Ohhh yeah my life same 2 kids on diff basketball then baseball then XC and soccer, on school board, run small business, have a wife still lol, so often my crawl vids are on way home from work. I’m lucky to be able to make a lot of videos that way or in my backyard if they are in the woods and not on the ocean lol.
That's funny shit right there! Lmao
😂 haha
Hey you mind sharing all the parts you put into your rig? Im getting into this hobby and I've been wanting to build a bronco.
The Bronco is pretty simple. -metal low transmission gears from injora -metal helical low gear diffs injora -brass servo mount injora -brass wheels a.co/d/dSE6wHd -Injora crawler master tires -Traxxas pro light kit -Traxxas light beam for the bumper and roof More brass coming soon!!!
Thats a sick rig! DO you know were you got the decals from?
The decals I made. They are vinyl.
Brandon, great video man! Was that out at DayBreak? My son and I out there last January, I think.
Thanks! Yeah it was at Daybreak! I’ve been upstream last summer. I did a bunch of shorts on it. With no water there was countless areas to crawl.
This rig is constantly amazes me & just makes me smile.🙂
I honestly can’t drive my 4m now because it’s not as capable. It almost makes me sad.
i have the evo pro and the new redcat 18 and to be honest i give the edge to the redcat in performance.
You make me very curious! I will for sure have to pick up a redcat this year and run them side by side.
The front left wheel tends to lift on climbs. The UA-camr 2FMRC gave the tip to solve this torque twist issue : use the second rear output (reversed) available on the transmission and flip the diff over to make the wheels turn the right way. But this diff fliping is not possible on the stock axle casing. Need to get the machined axles. Beautiful landscape !😊
I saw that video. I had a rubber band on the front axle that really seems to help that as well as preventing the front end from lifting on steep inclines. Thanks! I sure love it here. It’s pretty crazy to think that in a month or so that will be full of water.
Hello, thanks for your videos. What wheels & tires are u running on the Bronco?
Wheels: a.co/d/9FUB2tT Tires: a.co/d/22D7qH3 If those don’t work let me know.
Very COOL!
Thank you!!!
Build is coming along nicely! Looks very capable
I guess we’ll find out 😀 the top secret body going on there has got the chassis raised up a little higher than I want but I can live with it.
Nice!
Thanks ya!!!
Nexx racing oil filled for the scx24.
That’s actually what I was looking at. I just gotta find someone who will trade now haha
Vroom vroom.
Heck yeah!!!
The toys are full grown man should be playing with or like guns and stuff. Not RC cars or whatnot. Get yourself some guns. Get yourself occupied with the proper stuff and in no time you'd be appreciative my my suggestion. Seriously get yourself occupied with guns. They're going to be well used here in the near future. That's no joke
Thanks for the advice!
Lookinnnn gooooood
With the BA body on it it’s even better!!! I can’t wait to reveal this thing!
Looks sick man
Thanks Kade!!!
Love the crawlers! I'm working on an Evo purchase. Great information on the differences, thanks buddy! See you out crawlin!
Hopefully I helped in your decision! It’s an awesome crawler!
Hit me up if you want a scale hard body for your evo pro!
I’ve seen those bodies! They are clean!!! Have you showed the Micro Crawler Club Facebook group? I’ll bet it will get some interest there!!!
