After my mother passed away my step father needed to move to senior apartment. None of the kids had the space or structure to accept thousands of boks, most antique and.many valuable. To sell a valuable antique it must be certified . That costs $50 per book and the wait time was 6 months. We had to give most, unsorted to Habitat. The rest we threw away. It hurt my heart but we just didn't have the resources to handle them properly. We did reach out to many people, museums, libraries, collector groups and FB marketplace. Make a plan for your valuable heirlooms.
Greetings from New York! I'm headed to my local bins tomorrow to thrift Christmas gifts and this video inspired me - as always. Thanks for taking us along! 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
I never thought about thrifting like this! It's incredible how you turn overlooked items into cash. What’s your secret for spotting those hidden gems that most people miss? Curious to try it out myself now!
When I send fragile stuff, I pay a little extra for Fragile Mail, it’s only like maybe 25 dollars not much, than your box is insured Merry Christmas Zeb and Jami and Family
And then Zeb leaves the heavy duty stone! Seems like that could be used in lots of projects . I'm so confused? As to your " thought process behind the choices I have commented here before. I am a seller also and just trying to understand ...so I can improve MY choices! (I'm not judging you) I'm learning!!
They sell by weight at the goodwill bins and that stone round was about 8-9 lbs. we try to be conscious of how much we can sell something for vs how much shipping will be based on size and weight because we ship 90% of the things we sell.
This is going to sound extremely weird. As I was watching Jamie apply the tongue oil... I started to smell turpentine!! How weird..😮 I haven't anything like this in my home! And I sure DONT have smellovision😅
I did. I can’t hardly eat anything. It takes forever and it’s complicated. I have literally lost 2 pounds in the last week. Hope it gets better but I doubt it lol
I don’t know who is donating 100+ year old books to Goodwill, but it’s painful to my book loving heart lol. I’m glad you’re rescuing some of them
Probably the kids of the one who loved them. Sad, but that’s what happens.

I am so glad you found that lovely old Bible. And the repurposing of the casserole piece into a tray was so smart.

Sit it on a shelf and stand cookbooks up in it. Or regular books. Silver casserole holder.
Those clogs are ❤!!!
Awesome books today! I have two of the silver casserole holders that I have been wanting to turn into trays, thank you for sharing!!!
That was a great box! So generous. Loved video!!
Santa please bring Jami a battery pack for Christmas 🎁🎄🙏❄️⛄❤️

Zeb, how do you clean an old, stained book cover without messing it up? Any pro tips?
The stone round piece looks like Corian. The lamb was cute.

Who is this mystery Jan that sends you boxes? Are these like mystery boxes you buy from her?
Should have kept sheep. Lol
I said the same thing when Zeb was editing. I was like dang why did I leave that lol
Did you just get braces, Jami? Got them at 13, don't bite into an apple, lol.
I did. I can’t hardly eat anything. It takes forever and it’s complicated. I have literally lost 2 pounds in the last week. Hope it gets better but I doubt it lol
@@JamiRayVintagebless your heart, it looks like it’s painful when you talk. Praying it eases up & you can eat.
You passed up a lot of good stuff, especially bake ware.
