Hi Anna !! I just found this video. Because I recently started learning all about macramé, and I love your videos!! The funny thing is it's almost end of January 2023 ! Your comment at the beginning made me smile 😃.. what a coincidence! Thank you 👍 😊
Thank you so much for the video ..I really just jumped from excitement when I saw it..it’s the first time someone made a video for my request ..I loved your honesty about making the project, because I am a new to macrame and I feel so overwhelmed sometime when I want to do new project and all the ideas are swimming in my mind , which take so much time and effort of undo and do the knots over and over. Also your sketch is so beautiful , it looked exactly like the final project. Looking forward to the next videos 🥰🙌
Of course! It was a good video idea 😉 I am really happy to hear that you got what you were expecting out of it and hopefully it helped you. I sometimes get overwhelmed too, then I need to go for a hike to sort my mind out 😄 And thank you for the comment about my sketch 😊
Hi, I'm a new to macrame. Macrame is not popular in my country, and there is not much information to learn. I am glad to find your channel, where I learned a lot of about macrame skills. Yes, I would like to see how you prepare your driftwood and I'll keep watching your videos.
I'm glad you found some helpful information on my channel 😌 And can you share where you are from? It feels like macrame is popular everywhere these days so I am curious 😄
I'd love to see the actual sketches. I'm working on creating a portfolio where I sketch out the design on paper beforehand. I don't plan on sketching every single design..but the more complicated ones, or ones I'd like to repeat at a later date. So I'm curious to see how other people go about sketching their designs.
I am showing one sketch in this video but only very briefly. I don't do sketches for all my projects but when I do I always show them in the videos but it's true that I don't show how I do the sketch, only the final outcome...maybe an idea for another video 🙂
Hi ! I’m very happy 😃 you will be making a big project like I suggested in a previous video. I couldn’t believe it! I just can’t wait! And I really want to wish you a happy new year 2022, good health cause it is so important and everything you wish for. And I ´m again so grateful I found your channel. You definitely contributed for me feeling better. I was diagnosed with breast cancer on august 19 2020.During my treatment I was watching a lot of UA-cam videos and I came across one of your vids. I told myself I was going to make macrame one day. I learned about a month ago, I’m cancer free. I have started last week making small projects, keychains. I will eventually be making a boho etc But for now, I’m practicing with smaller pieces 😉. I love macrame and I thank you for all you teach. I appreciate you as a person thank you Hanna 🙏🏻 🙋♀️👍♥️
Happy New Year Chantal 😊 That's great to hear about your health improving, fingers crossed it will continue on that good track. And it's awesome that you are getting more into macrame, you will work your way up to the bigger pieces I am sure. There were quite a few people interested in a larger boho piece so it was pretty clear to me that I need to make one now 😁
Yes I make sketches too! I always try to sketch ideas out right away so I don't forget them . I have a whole folder follow of idea's already😅 I'm really enjoying your videos! 🤗 And yes I would like to see how you prep your driftwood.
Oh I would love to go through your sketchbook 😄 I don't sketch everything but it certainly helps and I feel like it's an art piece on its own. Thank you for your support and letting me know about the driftwood 😉
@@annabaginova01 haha, well mine aren't really artworks haha, they're just quick sketches so I remember the idea 😁 but it is fun to flip through them all. Now I still have to start making them😅
hey, I just stumbled across your video, and lol. yes, it is the 17th of January, the middle of January just as you said. But 2024 :-) thanks so much for this video. it helps a lot.
I spray both sides because usually the fringe is quite thick and when you turn it around you will see that the spray doesn't get to the other side...Have fun with your new hobby 😉
Really love your videos, I'm learning macrame and find your videos wonderful explain things and yes your pieces do look amazing. 😁 Really love the Berry project and will make it. Look forward to more projects for 2022, thank you 😁👍🏻(Australia)
Hi to Australia 🙂 I am really glad to hear you are enjoying my videos. If you do make one of the projects you can tag me on Instagram, I would love to see your re-creation of it 😉
Your so cute im happy to have found you .i try to schetch my projects but am not much of a drawer....and i follow your advice and write down my amount of cords i use. Thank you.
Oh thank you 😊 I am glad to hear that advice is useful and don't worry about the drawing, my sketches sometimes look very questionable 😅 but it still helps to get the thought on paper
Thanks Anna I’m also interested in how you prepare your driftwood. Also do you use just Bobbiny cord or do you use other brands? Do you mix braided and twisted, for example? Thanks
Hi Natasha, that's good to know that you are interested in that. So far I have only used the Bobbiny cords, I haven't found any other brand that would have as big of a selection as they do. And yes, I do mix all types of the cords together. One good example of that is the blossom chandelier where I have used the braided cords for the pattern and then single twist of the same color for the tassels - ua-cam.com/video/gQcXiSSFMzE/v-deo.html
You make a lot of macramé, obviously, so how do you sell it and how do you know how much to sell it for? By the way, you are the most helpful person I have come across for teaching macramé! Thank you.
That is great to hear! 😊 I have a video coming up on Friday where I talk about how I set the price for my macrame so you will get your answer in a few days 😉
Hey ...I love the work you do and its so insightful and simple to understand... I was curious about the driftwood that you use.. Do you treat it before using it. If yes then how... Since I'm from Goa India, we have a very humid and moist climate and the wood could have issues of mold during rains... Also is there a specific type of wood you can use as a dowel or it can be any kind of wood? I know these are many questions but I hope you see this and reply back either as a comment or another video perhaps maybe.. I hope I'm not asking too much... Thanks again for sharing your knowledge with us❤️
Hi there, I am so glad you have those questions, it will really help me with the video I’m planning on the driftwood 🙂 But it will be a while before that one comes out since I want to experiment and practice with it some more before sharing my tips with you guys…
Hello Anna. Happy New Year from Australia. Thanks for the info. I’m new to macrame and did a freestyle piece recently but had issues with the amount of knots I had on the dowel when changing from one knot type to another. Is there a rule for how many ropes to start with eg: must be divisible by 4 or 6. I hope this makes sense. Karen 😁
Happy New Year to you too Karen 😊 There is no rule, you need to know what your pattern will be (at least in the beginning) and that's how you determine how many cords you will need at the top. And then later you basically reverse it - because I have this and that many cords I have these x options for the pattern. Or that's at least how I go about it when coming up with my designs....

And do you have a tutorial on how to sketch out a macrame project into a notebook for future references?
I don't have such a tutorial yet but once I get more experience with it myself I might do one 😌

@@hookedup_by_Prapti Hmmm...I don't think I am the most skillful illustrator so I'm not sure if that would work out the way you want it to 😅
