We got him on the right meds...got him housing. He still gets $10 grand twice a year from a family trust to supplement his SSI. He has a payee...keeps busy doing dishes for a local church when they need him. Write cards/ letters to everyone he knows. HI MIKE 🖐️ Your video make me realize that around the world more people ls sufferings and one thing I don't have idea how to help them so pity. GOD BLESS 🙏💖 LOVE GERMAN IN VENICE 💖 STAY SAFE 💖
Jeff knows German language because he is Amish “ they speak Pennsylvania Dutch which is similar to German and I feel bad for Jeff because he’s a very nice person and smart and I think he is imagining that he inherited-a house? Maybe some dementia ? But hopefully he will fix his life soon the man deserves a better life with no worries
Great video Mike! I hope this man will get back on his feet again, he seems like a really nice and smart person!🙏... I also like the Michael Jackson and Bruce Lee buttons!😁🙏
You can’t evict squatters in California. If you’re landlord you’re automatically presumed guilty. Nobody can fix his problems, it’s been going on for over 20 years. I got itchy just watching him. I could smell him through the video. I’m sure anybody that has tried to help him has found out that his stories do not hold water.
Yep, I've met so many like him and often their stories are from the past or never existed at all. He might have inherited and owned a house, but he don't today for he'd lost it not keeping the property taxes current the past 20 years.
I know its a long process evicting people and they can live for free in a spot for a long time, but eventually they'll get kicked out. And even if you have no money you can just go to the court house and file an eviction and they waive the fees if you don't have money. But none of this guy's stories add up and on top of it he acts really slow like he's either on alcohol or some medication or drug. You have somebody who is clearly acting like he's on drugs/alcohol that says he's totally clean.
This man is real intelligent! And he is so right! However, have you heard that everyone is but one paycheck away from homelessness. When I get on my own feet I plan to try to save a few dollars just in case things may go bad again. GiV thank you for this post pls keep them coming. Cause these are getting me thru my own challenging times.
I'm Disabled, a Veteran, and have been homeless for two years. I'm not a drug addict, just lost my housing two years ago when the Apartment Complex I was living at was sold to a buyer in Toronto, who promptly notified the tenants living with Section 8 or VASH assistance was given the option to move out or pay full market value rent. I found while looking for a place to move to, that most low income housing was eliminated in this same fashion by greedy investors. I bought an old van on payments and was forced to start living in it. I did so for a year and was offered a tiny fiberglass trailer on payments. I found that the person I bought it from had mislead me on a clear title, and have had difficulty getting it registered and legal to tow. I have been stranded at a Recreation Area, above Kingman Arizona for seven months now trying to get repairs done to my van. It is no longer safe to drive, and definitely not suitable to tow my trailer. It has been a living hell, upto 128 degrees at times this summer, now dealing with freezing cold at night and heavy winds. Every time I try to get some repairs made, something comes up. I bought a used generator which failed in a couple weeks, had to buy another one, then my emotional support dog Archie was badly bitten and required veterinary care, my air conditioning compressor failed in my Van, I cut my knuckle to the bone and ligaments on some glass discarding some trash which resulted in an Emergency Room Visit. I have been trying to get help, and have not much success. I was accepted for Rapid Rehousing through the Catholic Charities, but have searched all over Mohave County but found I cannot afford an apartment on my disability income. I am now in a panic as I was notified by the Catholic Charities Caseworker handling my information, had their computer stolen and now my personal information has been compromised. I am on a waiting list for Section 8, basically started over. I did not choose to be in this homeless situation, and have been doing my best to deal with everything I have experienced the past 2 years. I had to literally give everything I owned away when I lost my apartment EVERYTHING!, I did try and keep my many tools, but those to were lost by a "friend" who was going but keep them until I get settled, but would never respond to my calls or texts. I am absolutely sick of my life. I don't live anymore, I merely exist, and it's not much of an existence. I have not showered in nearly 8 months, and haven't bathed in over two years since losing my apartment. I have reached out to every VA organization or service center for help, but am ineligible. I served 6 years in The Air National Guard, and was honorably discharged, but still don't meet the requirements as I was on active duty for well over a year with Avionics Technical School, and was activated during Desert Storm, but could not deploy with my unit, as I was a 3 level technician straight out of school. I have no family for support, no friends, only a few people I have met while being homeless. I have had a fellow vet brings some water bottles and food items several months back, but I don't see how I can ever get out of my situation as my limited income doesn't suffice.
Hey man, Im so sorry for what youre going through. Honestly man. Can you leave AZ? Also, keep trying to reach out to more of these yourubers like you are! I am sorry bro. Try and keep your dog and you safe and keep in mind that SOMETHING has to come along, but only if you fight towards it. Pray on it. I feel stuck as well and have been homeless for a very short period but nothing compares to what you're dealing with. Mitigate your risks, and hedge your bets. If the trailer is a burden- sell it off for parts on Marketplace or otherwise, and pay to fix the van. Or since youre parked anyways sell both and find one solution that will work (I see Ford Connect vans for like $2000CDN here and there are practical af, or a regular minivan like Vanlife Vancity does). Always find a way to link into free wifi and browse your buy sell sites to find items you can use or flip- EVERYTHING you buy should come from there except food and other necessities. Eat a good clean salsa with every savoury meal- trust me salsa has a ton of nutrients, save on prepping 5 different veggies and will keep your bodies metabolism going. Idk if im helping or just stressing you out more because I struggle so much as well. Would love to live in the USA and AZ but I say that now- I just know I dont want anyone struggling like this unless they truly earned that spot. You didnt earn you position and where you are and you deserve far better. Also the idea that this life is all a giant test to determine our mental toughness, and how much we can each endure, or how we act when given too much, etc. Nihilism is never the answer though. Have faith broski

Love how GiV tried to make a clean break with saying, "well, I've already exceeded my time for UA-cam videos." And the man replies, "well, you can cut it.". Too funny
I have no living relatives either anywhere. My mother was the last member of my extended family and she passed away 3 days before my birthday in August. She was 86. I have no aunt's uncle's cousin's grandparents nieces nephews and none of that.
Especially in LA, appearance matters. Jeff is not employable, that seems pretty clear. He, like countless other homeless people, regardless of their skills or intelligence, has no means to 'clean up for an interview'. You can't be employed without a permanent address. A lot of mentally ill people become homeless, but we should remember that the stress, anxiety, and general difficult living conditions can CAUSE mental illness.
I would love to bring him home. Upstate. Ny. Snow tug plateau. Winter weather advisory now with the cold wind. He’s to adorable thanks so much for your videos. Your the. Best.
During world war 2 Several hundred people left The Amish join the military. When the warriors over some of and started process to return and we're eventually welcome back into the communities. My great-grandfather worked in a steel mill and no tools gentleman who Apparently it's kind of stuck together in there Outside world. There is also a small documentary floating around UA-cam somewhere but I've long forgotten how It's named.
Wow, he has such a good attitude and a nice outlook on life after everything that's happened to him. He really should get help to get a replacement card for his benefits and a apartment. The government would help him.
I'd be doing a Smith & Wesson eviction if I were him. However, we don't know if what he says is true. People can have mental conditions and appear to be perfectly rational when in truth they are living in a fantasy. Real to them, but not real.
I have been homeless several times. But I was always working at a job I hate in farm labor so I would be back renting a room within a a few weeks. Sometimes you'll make a friend in the streets, that wise person, but mostly its the unsavory people that you run into. Drug addicts, low-life fools, and the mentally ill, usually the people that stay at the shelters/missions are in a step in the right direction, those who don't stay at the shelters are the rebels that have no cause to live for other than drugs and madness.
I hop freight trains and do seasonal labor when I can get it. I am clean/sober and I have a dog. I refuse to use shelters because I feel unsafe there and they are also not safe for my dog most of the time.
@@Mikefngarage They are also known for being extremely homophobic, transphobic, and personal property is stolen all the time. LGBT homeless people tend to avoid shelters even if they are completely sober. Plus, for people who have a partner or spouse, or pet, a lot of people avoid them because they will get split up
It seems to me that California needs more social workers to address the large number of homeless. They need a way to stay connected So sad, why can't some of those millionaires part with a buck and help.
Something is not adding up here! Umm...okay you have a home, that you inherited...and you been living on the streets off and on for twenty years. The city cops know him very well that they don't bother him....but can't help to get his home back...or guide him. He was a lawyer that helped with cases, and doesn't know anyone to help him get his home. See where I'm going? Its not adding up.
It’s funny to me that these people that are Native born US citizens live in the street but we have people that come from other countries with nothing in their pockets and become very successful. It just goes to show that if you’ve got the desire to succeed in life, you can. The majority of these homeless people want to live the way they live and want everyone to feel sorry for them. They want everything handed to them. This guy plays the victim in every sense. He says he owns a house but someone took it from him. He says he has social security benefits but he lost his card and can’t get it back. All that sounds like a bunch of BS to me. If he really wanted to do something with his life he would. The homeless situation is just going to get worse if we continue to accept excuses from these people and don’t force them to help themselves instead of giving them handouts.
There's a lot of folks with mental disorders and illnesses that can keep them from holding certain jobs. Unfortunately our country is lacking and falling behind in services for mental health. A lot of these folks get left behind and end up on the streets. Same goes with our healthcare.
He's not telling you a lot. I'm sure you noticed he bounces around answering stuff. Also... AMISH ORIGINS ARE GERMAN... so they speak it fluently. Not just in Germany. Amish wave of sorts goes from ny down to Pa, across to Indiana, lower Michigan like a swoosh... iowa.. etc. And what German weren't amish were near by to the Dakotas, Minnesota etc. They stayed close to the amish mainly many were amish that chose to no long take part in the lifestyle. There's a funny movie about a group of teens going through a certain sorta right of passage. They get to go bn out among non amish and try their way. It could be from a weekend to choosing to leave. But once you leave, your out. My 1st love was German, literally. He was the 1st generation born in America. His father was like 5 when they traveled here. He died about 8 yrs ago... funny thing is, he never spoke German atleast not while I was around. He was USAF stationed in Germany too, but settled in Vegas. My bf is here in San Fernando valley...

Your video make me realize that around the world more people ls sufferings and one thing I don't have idea how to help them so pity.
GOD BLESS 🙏💖 LOVE GERMAN IN VENICE 💖 STAY SAFE 💖
Thank you for what you are doing German god bless.
Thank you for sharing their Stories..
This is hard to watch man something has to give for your friend God please bless him
It's nice that you are filming in real life situations. Thank you
Jeff knows German language because he is Amish “ they speak Pennsylvania Dutch which is similar to German and I feel bad for Jeff because he’s a very nice person and smart and I think he is imagining that he inherited-a house? Maybe some dementia ? But hopefully he will fix his life soon the man deserves a better life with no worries
Maybe some dementia, they often scratch themselves and he seems to do so and remembering old things can also be Alzheimers on some level
Love the man you interviewed & his jacket is nice! I live in the cold Pacific Northwest so I know nice jackets. Very cool guy.
Great video Mike! I hope this man will get back on his feet again, he seems like a really nice and smart person!🙏... I also like the Michael Jackson and Bruce Lee buttons!😁🙏
Much love to Hoosiers, one German to another!
Peace and love.
Jess Meyer
You can’t evict squatters in California.
If you’re landlord you’re automatically presumed guilty.
Nobody can fix his problems, it’s been going on for over 20 years.
I got itchy just watching him. I could smell him through the video.
I’m sure anybody that has tried to help him has found out that his stories do not hold water.
Yep, I've met so many like him and often their stories are from the past or never existed at all. He might have inherited and owned a house, but he don't today for he'd lost it not keeping the property taxes current the past 20 years.
yea totally.....
Thank you GIV. I hope Your friend gets some well deserved assistance from somewhere. Stay safe
God Bless the homeless.🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

More interviews. These are really good. Humanizing. Thank you. - Update on him please!
Please give us an update on Jeff German in Venice. This poor man I want to pick him up and bring him to my house in N California. I have 2 spare rooms.
Hi Mike! Thank you for sharing! Stay safe out there, I heard about a very sad incident right next to the basketball courts last night.
I literally can not believe what LA and Venice have turned into. What poor poor leadership.
hi mike, thank you for this cool video, you let him talk, tel his intrresting story, happy to see that he has seen another part of the world, sad that hi father was paralized,i admire his courage, and yourway of listening to people,l,o,v,e monique augustus from belgium, happy that michael is there with you
Absolutely love the music you play its very very happy
Love how GiV tried to make a clean break with saying, "well, I've already exceeded my time for UA-cam videos." And the man replies, "well, you can cut it.". Too funny
Someone needs to help this man.
His German is amazing. He has almost no accent. After only nine month in Germany and probably a long time ago!
The best of luck Jeff!
You can make a movie about this mans life! A good man harmless and homeless
I have no living relatives either anywhere. My mother was the last member of my extended family and she passed away 3 days before my birthday in August. She was 86. I have no aunt's uncle's cousin's grandparents nieces nephews and none of that.
he needs a little bit of help. id get him his card and get him in court get a cheap shirt and tie etc not too hard
Courthouses are closed dude everything is done online/video Court.
@@ChhhhNotEven its all on video now in england the courts
New Subscriber from Arkansas...loving the videos..showing alot ive never ever seen. Keep em comin👍
Your the. Best.
Nice interview. I’m a Hungarian French Canadian American. Plz interview more homeless
During world war 2 Several hundred people left The Amish join the military. When the warriors over some of and started process to return and we're eventually welcome back into the communities.
Chose not to returned it's to stay with "English "Which is what they call outsiders.
My great-grandfather worked in a steel mill and no tools gentleman who Apparently it's kind of stuck together in there Outside world. There is also a small documentary floating around UA-cam somewhere but I've long forgotten how It's named.
Maybe he could work as a translator
Thought that to
he'd need to get certificates
Good work GiV....i love your videos
(Singing out loud, in a choir-sounding voice): "Lean on me...When you are not strong...I will be your friend...I will help you carry on...".
Wow, he has such a good attitude and a nice outlook on life after everything that's happened to him. He really should get help to get a replacement card for his benefits and a apartment. The government would help him.
Pray for the Homeless tonight
take him to his house and knock on the door, ask this squatter why he has made this kind old man, homeless? can you do that ?
Good question??
I'd be doing a Smith & Wesson eviction if I were him. However, we don't know if what he says is true. People can have mental conditions and appear to be perfectly rational when in truth they are living in a fantasy. Real to them, but not real.
@@greyeaglem that is so very true! But the owner of the property can be looked up on the county assessor's site
Someone close by please be a family to this man and feel the Hand of God on your shoulder for the rest of your days 🙏🌸
Wise words, also logic that alot people don't have according to some comments.
Well said!
respectfully true. Places like the salvation army. weed through a lot of people and help the ones who can be helped.
Plus, for people who have a partner or spouse, or pet, a lot of people avoid them because they will get split up
9:24 This guy is actually smart. Just hit a rough patch I hope he is doing much better.
Thank You for promoting your friend
It seems to me that California needs more social workers to address the large number of homeless. They need a way to stay connected So sad, why can't some of those millionaires part with a buck and help.
Something is not adding up here! Umm...okay you have a home, that you inherited...and you been living on the streets off and on for twenty years. The city cops know him very well that they don't bother him....but can't help to get his home back...or guide him. He was a lawyer that helped with cases, and doesn't know anyone to help him get his home. See where I'm going? Its not adding up.
I think you have him looking into the sun also.
It appears he's missing his left eye.
GOD BLESS ALL OF THE HOMELESS PEOPLE GERMAN.
This Lad has such a gentle voice
LOL right now it 78 degrees in LA and y'all are wearing winter coat I generally don't put on till at least 40-50 degrees outside.
@The California Arizona Infowarrior what do you mean?
Wow, he speaks with barely any accent. The best German I have ever heard from an American.
What a interesting individual, I hope his situation improves.
Also, I just saw it! YEAH! 100k!!! Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He speaks excellent German!!!! 👍🏼What a humble sympathic guy! Ich wünsche dir das du deine Karte und Rente wiederbekommst! I agree with him about the bad social system! He is highly intelligent, and I will always prefer Europe!!! Would never ever want to live in the USA (no offense to the US citizens ment) I would love to see more of this guy!!!! 💞
Hello Mike, I am a new subscriber after seeing you on Adam the Woo Channel on Thursday Thanksgiving (11-25-21). How is Mike doing now? If you can give us an update on Mike, we would appreciate it. God bless you for your compassion and mercy.
I hope this guy will get the help he needs 🙏 could be drugs too...some people dont realize what they're doing sometimes when it's a habit
But at least they aren't talking to themselves or yelling at the air
The world really needs some healing 🙏🙏
Homelessness is in America. Just be happy. No worries. No more taxes.
Agreed, There are many people with many problems we should all just learn to be thankful and be happy and trust God. We should all help wherever we can anyway it’s just the right thing to do.
