Magic Sorcerer Build for One Tamriel I had recently returned to the game after 1T update and decided that I wanted to play a Mag Sorc. This helped me understand the power of some of the skills that i currently was not using and how important bar swapping is. Thanks for all of your content and good luck to everyone!
I've said it before, and I'll say it again, this has always been my favorite build, never let me down and always has done me a solid since I was a little noob to this day! Hope the new year brings many more great things your way Deltia :)
Thanks for the updated guide. I just started playing and have a level 12 sorc I am leveling and I'm using the written guide on Deltia's site, so the leveling bit at the end was great as it clarified a few things I wasn't sure about.
Hey Deltia i love your new thumbnails and slowmo combat that really helps seeing what your talking about for rotations. Love your videos and thank you for all the videos you have made!!
I personally like your spec builds since they help me live the fantasy of the master mage, changing the earth in front of you with fire and lightning, with the crystal frags popping the people in front of you down
A very cool build, I personally play completely different to this on a sorc however this is really powerful and especially good for those who are used to weaving with a flame staff a lot and can't break the habbit. Also it's great to see the mid research skill crafted gear getting a look in again (5x research traits). TBS is generally top of the dps table when mixed with viable complimentary sets and I must admit despite its power, it's getting boring. I really like the idea and potential some of the mid level crafted sets (5 traits etc) and i think it's great to bring them back into the limelight. Even relitivley new players can create these and that closes the gap between dps dudes giving everyone an equal chance at high performance in both trials and dungeons. Well done @deltia very cool. Viable for both new and old players alike. +1 :)
i like this build magic sorc ignition alot, just the combonation of skills when you lurn how toplay with it, it is so strong. and the strong sets that help alot , i like it and im stil using it right now (keep it up soon 200k subs)
Never really played magic classes in any of the previous Elder Scrolls games. Mostly a "run in and slash" kind of player. So, I've been a little intimidated about playing magic based characters and this video really helped me get over the hump. Thanks!
I was in Chuck Noris about a year ago when you came as a guest leader doing Zerg PvP. You're like an ESO celebrity due to your skill/UA-cam fame. It was nice.
Man, this is great, retool my sorc. Now, I can craft and looking to get my 9th trait on crafting sets. Working on the timing on this. Luv the Bound Aegis look, this is how I've image a master sorc would be.
This build is great it has helped me be able to learn block cancelling allowing me to do more dps plus the combos of the skills I have now been able to finalize. The build has helped me be able to do lots of dps only problem is that I feel like I'm very much a glass cannon trying to figure it out as I get higher level tho
Dude your voice sounds so much different in 2022. You sound like you been gargling whiskey and gravel for 5 years. Its so mellow in 2017 lol. Congrats on all your success man!
Another thing Deltia, the summoned matriarch also can be healer and does shock dmg from distance. no getting close for her to start attack. heals you for X + 2 allies. kinda my heals without dedicated Healer! + in a pinch her heals summon ability procs frags. waste not want not ey! ~Baker
Well, I'm impressed with the content of gear options that your video has this time. I agree with about 90 percent of this, but what you didn't consider was a 5/5 with scathing mage and Julionus. Since Scathing Mage now drops a weapon you can run destro on SC, and dual wield on Julionus. While this will decrease your resources, the proc from Scathing Mage switched to back bar Julionus will out dps TBS. Keep in mind this is without VMA weapon, or monster sets, so if any players are running these two together, I would probably still agree with your assessment.
yeah deltia finally u find the true way by making my build lol. double destro and a bit aoe on back bar. same as my mirage magsorc build. did u watched my build?
Hi deltia, as a huge fan of your videos, especially your sorc builds, please do an update of your magica sorc pvp build :) Thumps up and please do a review about the "Buff Timers" Addon :D Anyway: Keep up the great work!
Reinhard Rickert lol. Magplars are meta now. Stamblade StamSorc are meta. Magblade mehhhhh fell off. but your omission of magPlar shows you know nothing Jon Snow lol. I play sorc though and you are kinda right there's alot fewer running around since shield nerf...
Good guide video again! One thing what i may dissagree is that gear. I personally use 5x Julianos, 5x Mothers Sorrow (3 jewerly and head, jerkin) and Torugs pact staff. It has INSANE crit hit% and spell damage. This works best for me and u should give it ago too.
Deltia, I appreciate the rotation advice in the video. I have actually hit 30k+ DPS in vet COH 1. Currently working on farming Illambris' shoulder. Fingers crossed and praying to RNG Gods.
I'm following this build cause I'm super new to ESO, but I'm following the more updated guide on his site under the leveling section. Only lvl 12 but I'm enjoying the build, it works well
Like i even didnt know that illambris can proc both lightning and fire at same time. And the thing is i always loved your builds which suits for everyone even the fresmen. And even for the endgame hardcore gamer status it is possible to extract the essence of thought that would help for even further improvement in terms of dps and survivability. For example julianos is great and it is quite easy to get for everyone and good to start with but i really dont use it instead according to my need i changed it with spellwave and stuff. And i use moondancer for more magicka and it goes on like that. To sum up love u and ur videos. P.S: Your kid is so adooorableeee :3
I love this build but man...I'm having a good bit of trouble breaking 22k dps...I can get an average of 31k on the damn magicka dk....guess more practice is required. Also, I'd be interested in your maelstrom run versions of these builds. By the way, great setup/organization on your one Tamriel build videos. For example, the overview of the build on title screen makes a difference. Digging the attention to detail. Quality stuff. Thank you.
I did some Math with Julianos TwiceBorn and Robes of Destruction Mastery(for PvE) and came to conclusion that Destruction Mastery is currently the strongest of them if you dont need the extra life from TwiceBorn and if you get the 10percent Magicka bonus from breton or altmer passive. You should definetly check it out
Hi Deltia, I was curious as to your thoughts regarding the Necropotence set, and letting the volatile familiar's special ability pulse be one more DOT to aid your character. - disadvantage is he can be killed, but he has your shields, and the Necropotence set gives a huge magic bonus with a pet.
Just to add some info. Instead of feeding you can eat the new gold recipe Double bloody mara, it will decrease your vampirism lvl by 1 each time you eat it.
If you use a controller to play ESO, this setup is pretty tidy, because of the double-barred double toggles. Stick Bound Aegis on L1, and Inner Light on R1 for both bars, and make sure they're on. Set it and forget it! That'll let you block cancel and light weave with the triggers without removing your fingers. Certainly makes the timings a little easier.
thanks for the guide. this build is kicking ass. i suck at the rotation atm, but ill get there. also, wondering if i could use degeneration from mages guild instead of force pulse. it grants major sorcery for a good amount of time and does decent dot, plus the heals from the dot, and the heavy/light attack chance. the heals are a secondary benefit really, im just wondering if the major sorc buff (and thus the +20% to spell dam) is better than having a second single target ability aside from cfrag. im finding that cfrag procs so much i barely use fp anyway... the big negative i can think of is that it adds another dot you have to keep up in an already busy rotation.. what are your thoughts?
I've been using Soul Splitting Trap for my ST bar over Velocious Curse as it's a DoT and hits 3 enemies in stead of 1. I also have Dark Conversion on both bars so I can get back Magicka and Health constantly. Soul Assault is my Ultimate on my ST bar since it only costs 50 Ultimate and does 20k damage.
Hi deltia, love your videos, have used them a lot to try and get to grips with this game and try and make a build for my sorc (being a total noob to mmo style games) but it is hard because of that to understand a lot of what all you guys talk about. I'm level 18 atm and I'm trying to follow your frag out build, but I was wondering, are you ever going to make some videos for total noobs like me where the build is explained right from the beginning all the way to vet and explain everything for noobs to understand? lol I know a lot of build videos focus on being vet level and having all dlc etc etc but it's hard for me to understand how to get to that point how to run character until then if that makes sense
Not sure if you'll see this, but are the Ilambris shoulders/helmet still viable with the new nerf coming to proc sets? Or should it be replaced with something else (such as Magnus with a Magnus weapon)?
Hey Deltia, really nice sorcerer build video. I am a fan of your builds and now being cp531. In this video you mentioned spell crit and spell pen set doesn't outperform TBS in trial. I can understand that, but how about small group dungeon or VMA? Do you think those 2 sets can beat Scathing in non-trial condition?
@Deltia's Gaming I really need help I've been following your written guide for the solo build on your website but I am so confused.. what's the point of having 2 separate ultimates like elemental rage and energy overload on separate bars ? When you can only use 1 ult at a time anyways.. also you don't explain where our attribute points should be spent ex.. Max Magicka, Max health, Max stamina. I'm new to ESO and so very confused
He uses Energy Overload as his second ultimate as using it gives you access to a third skill bar, which he can slot more skills to buff himself. Energy overload is also quite good for single target damage - as you can store ultimate up to 500, you can spam energy overload untill you have about 250 ultimate left, then swap and use your other ultimate for max damage, whether this be metor or elemental rage. (Dont forget to keep your DoT's going if you do this) Regarding attribute - In general if you are running Magicka DPS or Healer - spend all on Magicka, if you are running Stamina DPS - go full stamina. The mundus stone he uses is the Thief - as this gives extra spell crit - which is where those massive yellow numbers comes from, doing a lot more damage. Hope ive cleared things up. :)
Great Video! I was previously using Seducer and switched to Julianos after watching this video. after playing it for a bit I have found I am having major Magicka issues. What are you doing to Regen or maintain Magicka during the fight? It sounds like you don't have to use soul drain until after the battle.
Hey Deltia, any thoughts on burning spell weave? I enjoy it on my mag sorc, using grothdar and Fire blockade. As well as lightning form. Melee range sorc can be fun as hell. Lol.
Great video... great details. You may have slowed down the quantity but the quality is very well done. Still won't make me play a magic sorc. 37 k single target on a magic class when stam toons are running considerably more and they nor I are no where that smooth or polished.
Hey Deltia! I really love this build because I love taking on a challenge. I picked on how to block cancel which is cool, but I'm still lacking that infallible aether set. Hopefully you don't update this build with new gear XD.
Hey so I just started playing this game after a friend recommended it. I want to play as a sorcerer and figure out what the best way to go about this is. I've been trying to find videos but I'm just ending up getting confused. So could you help me? I'm currently level 20 Breton. What should I have now and what should I make a priority to get from here on. Thanks ahead of time.
Hey there Deltia, I'm trying to make this build work for pvp but find myself struggling when it comes to escape. What would you recommend replacing to make this DPS build work with Streak? Everything I think of replacing takes a lot of DPS or something that helps away. Whats your method for escape in PvP with these builds?
Hello Deltia! I have leveled up a high elf sorc during the witches festival because everyone says it's easy to play. As you mentioned in the video it's a very skill oriented class. I have trouble with vma I'm running 5 julianos /3 willpower /1 kena /2 torugs pact. I was wondering if you have/or will make a video including a complete breakdown to Vma? that would of been much appreciated! thanks for awesome guides and videos!
Nice guide thanks! But, the sorc kinda turns of away simply because of all the weapon swapping...feels like a hassle. Considering a DK instead. Is that an easier playstyle?
I have a question about race change. Do you have to take out the point before you change race or will they transfer to your new one or our they given back when you change race?
On the topic of Mage's Wrath, I've been considering dropping it, switching to a lightning staff, and letting the Implosion passive handle my executes. The 15% threshold is a bummer, but 6% proc chance might not be too bad, considering Blockade of Lightning and Liquid Lightning are constantly ticking away, light attacks between casts, etc. I realize that it has probably been tested, and lightning staff is probably not 100% optimized, but what exactly do you lose? Heavy attacks when resources are low will need to be fully charged, and you lose the innate advantage of having 2 damage types instead of just one, just lightning. As for Mage's Wrath, sure, a reliable execute is nice, but bar space is scarce... Hard to say, really. Opinions?
hi deltia, im new to eso and wondering if this would be a good first character, I played a few mmo's like gw2 and wow so im not extremely bad with timing and all that stuff
I'm completely new to ESO and looking to level a sorc. I have no idea what's going on in this video, but it looks pretty cool. Is a build similar to this good for leveling?
what would be better: a full divines jullianos or a full divines infal eather(chest, belt, gloves, pants, feet)? i would also like to know what you can put in place of mealstrom staffs. i'm wasting a gear slot here. there are no other 1 piece set bonusses than mealstrom or dragonstar and since those are near-impossible to do i would really like to know some alternitives.
using the build and really enjoying it but just one question why does your guy look like he has lightning in his eyes is that like a skin or something and what is that dark magic coming off of you?
The Whitestrake's Retribution set has been so useful for me as it often saves you from dying with the 9000 HP damage shield that comes up when your health gets low. Is there any way to build around that and do respectable damage? Or is there a better way to keep from getting KO'd?
If I haven't run trials yet, I'm running 5 piece Julianos and 5 piece mothers sorrow. Then my staffs are just any sharpened fire for back bar and sharp lighting for front. Any tips for improvement? Besides doing vma? Is this build pretty good on gear?
I'm kinda new to this game so I don't know certain things. I was wondering, how does he make his character look like that? The glowing eyes and the purple aura looks REALLY cool.
I enjoy this class in a group but solo or with randoms I struggle. It's not my gear or bars it's purely down to dedication on my behalf. I've been trying to move away from dps after a year playing stamblade exclusively. Presently obsessed with my block knight and probably gonna move on to healing later. There's no way I'd delete him (Tytannus), just taking a break :)
Isaac Intner well stamSorc is the best now with those super heals, and sorc is just about tied with MagBlade since shields are available to them on top of their monster self heals. But I agree if your having trouble soloing with a Sorc it may be due to your skill load out. gotta remember that you have no healer so slot some kind of heals you have no tank so slot some kind of shield. AKA critsurge and hardened all you need haha
jemanuel I have a destro resto build, crit surge and wards. Sustain is fine, mobility also fine, stupidly high dps and the rotation, also no problem. For some reason I don't find it as enjoyable as stamblade, stamsorc or even mag dk dps builds. Stamblade and mag dk are more demanding which is becoming my determining factor. Stamsorc actually makes me laugh whilst playing, it's so OP. It's the enjoyment I'm struggling with, dps builds aren't challenging anymore. I kinda wish I hadn't said anything, I always post directly to the uploader, blind to the public element. The post does read as though I'm against the build but honestly I'd say play everthing, there are 8 character slots for a reason. I suppose I filed a status report. After a year viewing and posting, I wanted to let the guy who I respect know where I am now.
+Isaac Intner I'm arrogent, that seems pretty absurb considering you're obviously using this as oppertunity to brag. Don't panic, I have resto staff on my back bar, for healing people, your precious score is safe.
I play my sorc mostly in trails with TBS and 4x Mondancer the rest of the setup is the same as yours! i hope zos will buff the "Mages Wrath" ;-) I still have problems with the performance of my pc ... :-/ I do not get any light attack out and the bar swop does not always works! next i will test "FRAG OUT" in pvp :-)
Question, about attribute points. Just like previous version of the build, all APs go into magika, and none to health? I'm an Altmer, and in the end, i end up with 10-11k health and 32-33k mag without buffs... is this correct, or am I doing smth wrong?
You know you should make a simplistic build for each class so like say I wanted to make this sorc and I still need to grind to get all the gear well what build will I run while I grind for this? So what if you made a basic build for each class to use while we grind for the better gear and the endgame builds we truly want
Thanks for the build! I've had the game for a month and have been living off of your guides, build, and build pimping.
I just got back into ESO and am trying to build a cool Templar or Sorc hopefully your videos will help me find my build thx Deltia!

Deltia's Gaming could you sense your a big eso player. Could you try get Bethesda add ad-ons to for Xbox and PS.
He can big on YT, but in the end he can't really influence them, so it's up to ZOS, GamingRaven.
Thank you sooooo much for this video! Just started a High Elf Magic Sorcerer today and this information is priceless! Great job!
I personally like your spec builds since they help me live the fantasy of the master mage, changing the earth in front of you with fire and lightning, with the crystal frags popping the people in front of you down
This was one of my favorite build when I played on my sorc. Thank you for updating it!
Thank you! I absolutely love playing a mag sorc DPS. I picked the role a few months ago and have never played another character.
there we go deltia is back ! not into templars at all very glad to see other builds again !

So happy you made a video like this for my favorite class: mag sorc. Especially for those who are not in CP
Liked and subscribed. Been watching since the launch of ESO on consoles . Keep up the great content.
Hello deltia, Hope all great at home and the income from these video's are making life a bit easier.

thanks for this!!! been waiting for your input
the set is called I-lambris, not L-lambris, unless for some reason you think names aren't capitalised in the ESO world
deltia quick fucking with these other builds, hit us with that vma tank build, you're killing me
what style is his armor looks really good
Man, this is great, retool my sorc. Now, I can craft and looking to get my 9th trait on crafting sets. Working on the timing on this. Luv the Bound Aegis look, this is how I've image a master sorc would be.

I'm not a native English speaker, so I hope there arent too many mistakes in my text :D
Magicka Sorc are dead in PvP....play meta......stam sorc , stamnb or magblade
Reinhard Rickert you think mag sorc are dead??
come and find me to check it out..

This is exactly what I have been doing it's cool you guys are two let's me know I'm doing something right :)
I really loved this video cause it taut me alot about dots and how useful destro staff is
Thanks for the video, now i have to practise light attacks in between
first time running VMA with this build, no death. Holy Frags thats all I gotta say. great build

Regarding attribute - In general if you are running Magicka DPS or Healer - spend all on Magicka, if you are running Stamina DPS - go full stamina.
The mundus stone he uses is the Thief - as this gives extra spell crit - which is where those massive yellow numbers comes from, doing a lot more damage.
Hope ive cleared things up. :)
another great video keep it up :)
hey i am watching usally all of your builds and i like this Build thr most, because it got a high dps
Great Video! I was previously using Seducer and switched to Julianos after watching this video. after playing it for a bit I have found I am having major Magicka issues. What are you doing to Regen or maintain Magicka during the fight? It sounds like you don't have to use soul drain until after the battle.
Hi DG, Great vids....since force pulse has been more or less swapped with clench, have you swapped on you bar? cheers
Hopefully you don't update this build with new gear XD.
how do you do the rain of fire in the min 14:08? I don't now to do this and you do that alot of times you can tell me plis?
Whats your method for escape in PvP with these builds?
deltias the writen build is pretty different which one should i choose
Hello Deltia!
I have leveled up a high elf sorc during the witches festival because everyone says it's easy to play. As you mentioned in the video it's a very skill oriented class.
I have trouble with vma I'm running 5 julianos /3 willpower /1 kena /2 torugs pact.
I was wondering if you have/or will make a video including a complete breakdown to Vma? that would of been much appreciated!
thanks for awesome guides and videos!
He made that a long time ago, check out his playlists :-)
Helped me out back in the day.
Nice guide thanks! But, the sorc kinda turns of away simply because of all the weapon swapping...feels like a hassle. Considering a DK instead. Is that an easier playstyle?
How many spell damage do you have, i like your way of playing and doing alot of damage!
Also Deltia is 55% spell critical a good in between or no would like to know your opinion on both ^_^
I have a question about race change.
What's your opinion about lightning staff instead of fire? is it viable or should i get/make fire staff on my sorc?
Lightning staff LA can procc dissentigration and they do additional dmg because of being a sorc , Fire staff only for applying WoE
Ok thank you for the info =)
Truong Giang Ngo WoE? What's that
Wono I think a fire moon dancer or is sharpened is better than a generic lightning
Isaac Intner okay I'll think about that
What is that purple flow around your character? Great guide btw
Gabe Osborne the purple glow is given after Bound Aegis is used. It's a self-buffing skill that gives great defense for sorcs.
Are you using power surge as a buff or running spell power pots? For major sorcery
using the build and really enjoying it but just one question why does your guy look like he has lightning in his eyes is that like a skin or something and what is that dark magic coming off of you?
The Whitestrake's Retribution set has been so useful for me as it often saves you from dying with the 9000 HP damage shield that comes up when your health gets low. Is there any way to build around that and do respectable damage? Or is there a better way to keep from getting KO'd?
If I haven't run trials yet, I'm running 5 piece Julianos and 5 piece mothers sorrow. Then my staffs are just any sharpened fire for back bar and sharp lighting for front. Any tips for improvement? Besides doing vma? Is this build pretty good on gear?
Are those bar add-ons or are is it something you can turn on in Options? Cuz I play on ps4.
I'm kinda new to this game so I don't know certain things. I was wondering, how does he make his character look like that? The glowing eyes and the purple aura looks REALLY cool.
What's your opinion on being a imperial sorc using lightning staff? What would be a good two piece to use till I get that monster set you are using.
Or should I use the fire staff?
This dude is all over the place.
ZombieATAT this is literally the best solo class though -_-
Isaac Intner well stamSorc is the best now with those super heals, and sorc is just about tied with MagBlade since shields are available to them on top of their monster self heals.
ZombieATAT Stupidly high dps with a resto staff, lol. You are extremely arrogant. Is your vMA highscore 600k as well?
+Isaac Intner I'm arrogent, that seems pretty absurb considering you're obviously using this as oppertunity to brag. Don't panic, I have resto staff on my back bar, for healing people, your precious score is safe.
I play my sorc mostly in trails with TBS and 4x Mondancer
the rest of the setup is the same as yours! i hope zos will buff the "Mages Wrath" ;-)
I still have problems with the performance of my pc ... :-/
I do not get any light attack out and the bar swop does not always works! next i will test "FRAG OUT" in pvp :-)
do you ever stream on twitch? I would really like to sub to you there. I think you would make a good streamer.
No, I stopped about about a year.
who can tell me which addon shows skill times on the left of screen?
There's a video of him explaining addons he uses, search it up.
What is the name of that spell? 12:00 The fire rain
Its the proc of the Ilambris armor set
Question, about attribute points. Just like previous version of the build, all APs go into magika, and none to health? I'm an Altmer, and in the end, i end up with 10-11k health and 32-33k mag without buffs... is this correct, or am I doing smth wrong?
What does advantages mean? It seems like a versatile word! Jk. Thank you for the video(s). They are a big help. Jace rocks too.
Hi Deltias what are the addons/mods that u are using?
You know you should make a simplistic build for each class so like say I wanted to make this sorc and I still need to grind to get all the gear well what build will I run while I grind for this? So what if you made a basic build for each class to use while we grind for the better gear and the endgame builds we truly want
I think I mentioned alternative gear sets and how to level, what else would you want?
