This is a uk drill beat where I emulate the uk drill music sound and make a drill song. I'm showing you how to make a uk drill type beat in FL Studio 2019. I'm making trap music in this tutorial of FL Studio 2019, it's a rap music tutorial/rap beat tutorial, wherein I create a hard uk drill type song in 8 minutes. It's a rap, hip-hop, trap, drill tutorial.
U don’t live in the uk so u shouldn’t say it’s just a reflection because it does cause majority of knife crime e.t.c
What evidence do you have that music is the proximate cause of knife crime? Bro, the effect of playing violent video games has been studied at length for decades and the consensus is that playing violent games doesn't impact a person's behavior. So, why would music be a special case that impacts behavior? Why don't movies, TV shows and video games do the same? Ya know, artists like Eminem and Marilyn Manson were blamed for a bunch of negative societal impacts in the late 90s and early 2000s. If I recall correctly, Marilyn was blamed for Columbine. Power structures scapegoating artists is as old as art itself.
I said it's a reflection, because that is what art is. Artists tend to speak from their experiences. Their art reflects their experiences.
@@JRent506 Who mentioned violent games???
@@CbarMiiXaaS nobody mentioned violent video games. I'm just saying that they're another form of violent media, and they do not impact a person's behavior. Based on my knowledge of that, I am quite comfortable in assuming that music falls into the same sort of box and has a relatively negligible impact on a person's behavior. It's an assumption I'm comfortable making, as i see no evidence pointing toward it being a special case exempt from the reccurring pattern of how other media lacks any significant impacts on behavior.
@@JRent506 It's not analogous. Video games don't involve tribalist braggadocio, they don't involve disseminating claims, they dont enforce living life as per a gang culture.
They are 100% not the same thing, no analogy whatsoever.
@@CbarMiiXaaS Rap music has involved "tribalist braggadocio" and "disseminating claims" since the genre began. Hip-hop artists have routinely engaged in "beef" making diss tracks back and forth, "reppin their set", bragging to everyone about how tough they are and how weak and vulnerable their opposition is. But, it is only now and in the UK that this is a huge problem requiring the nanny state to come in to censor and ban things that the filthy, moronic masses can't be trusted to engage in a civil, respectable manner?
Taking someone's life is an extreme act. It is not something that a happy person in a healthy environment would resort to on a whim. Taking lives can result in a whole assortment of negative mental health consequences, including PTSD. If these people are being pushed into this life, it is not the music doing it. At the most, the music may be used as a vehicle to inflame tensions between rival factions who are already in conflict. But, why are they fighting to begin with? People who feel they have nothing to lose may engage in risky and violent behavior. What do you think will happen when you take music away from these people? Will they suddenly have more to live for? Or less?
Conflicts and violence in rap is nothing new and it has happened in the US as well. But, it's not the music that started the conflict, in most cases the conflict already existed, the music is just used as a tool to disrespect the opposition. If thing escalate, it likely would have escalated regardless. The tension and conflict is always there unless opposing sides are willing to talk and come to an understanding where they can co-exist peacefully. Mr. Government didn't come in and hold rapper's hands in the US, and the nanny state didn't coddle them or ban music. The biggest conflict in rap music history was put to an end by opposing sides coming together and squashing the beef.

And now a year later, Drill is more popular than ever especially now that it's starting to become mainstream in America with artists like Pop Smoke. You love to see it. Just goes to show the more people try to stop something, the more popular it will become.
Even in Poland, their music style used to be like HipHop (quite repetitive if you ask me) but now they're introducing harder 808s, EQ drops at the start, harder kicks, melodies are a bit darker. Basically moving towards drill.

Max, whether or not they have other options I still disagree with the principle of censorship. Even if these drill rappers lived in palatial estates with butlers, maids, etc. and their lives looked absolutely nothing like what they talk about in their music, I'd still be against the censorship.
How is censoring violent music any different from censoring violent movies or video games? In violent video games the acts are carried out by the person playing them, which means they have an even greater degree of agency in the depiction/representation of the objectionable and abhorrent acts. Despite that greater degree of agency, essentially every study ever conducted on violent video games and their impact on behavior has shown *absolutely* no correlation between playing violent video games and violent behavior.
How then do you justify the claim that violent music leads to violent action when all evidence seems to point to the contrary? Why is music a "special case" that magically impacts behavior, whereas movies, TV shows and video games are unable to do the same? What evidence do you have to support your assertion?
With that being said, the earning potential of an artist/producer is way beyond that of most professions. I got a degree in chemistry, worked in the pharmaceutical industry and still felt like a wage slave. I have options, but I'd much rather be making money through a creative outlet I'm passionate about because, for me, it leads to a greater degree of fulfillment. I actually feel like I have something to live for when I'm being creative, which leads me to make better/healthier decisions about my life. When I was just working as a chemist I was absolutely depressed and didn't care about anything, I ate unhealthy, I drank and did drugs all the time and I frequently engaged in risky behavior.
And I'm also not from the US, I'm Canadian, why/how would I look at it from an American perspective? And with that being said, I also think the racism in America is exaggerated by the media for hate-clicks. Higher education also requires a solid foundation. Are the schools in these areas like kennington, brixton, etc. on par with other public schools? Because if not, that's a huge disadvantage to the kids in those communities. Also, not everyone is meant for academic type jobs, and most academic jobs don't pay that well anyway. As a chemist I was unlikely to ever own my own business, I didn't have the drive or determination to excel in that area. As a producer I've already essentially got a small start up business, making my own money and doing my own thing. I feel more freedom. This degree of freedom would not be available to me if it wasn't for music because I do not have the aptitude to pursue any other type of business. I don't know, I just fully disagree with your entire perspective.
@@JRent506 you´re right bro, i feel you.
Sooo good videos btw you fucking legend
@@JRent506 I want to say as someone living in America, that racism isn't exaggerated.

The beat was fire but hears some constructive criticism :
- when you are doing the main snare part try instead of placing it on beat 3 in bars 2 and 4 try placing it on beats 2&4 or just 4. This is done a lot here in the uk and creates more bounce.
-the hi hat pattern try making it more intricate and complex also with changes in the panning and velocity.
Good video tho🔥
I appreciate the constructive feedback, thanks man

As a long time Grime/Drill fan I've got to say I'm impressed with how well you got the slang down. Shelled it.
Your monologue captured it perfectly. Young, working class artists are putting their talent to use and it's working. Guys like Digga D, LD/Dimzy, or 410 have made lots of money for themselves, and continue to do so. It's another route instead of straight up trapping.

"I intend to spill blood all over your neighborhood" sounds psychotic
Lmao yeah sounds like something a sociopath/psychopath serial killer type would say
What type of oppressive individual desperately would try to stop such people from multiplying their beautiful world of thought? If kids wanna grow a fortune from selling songs to kids about how to become a valuable member of a criminal society, why not????! Where else would kids supposed to go if they wanna learn about violence, crime, selling drugs and having beef with the police? Who needs criminal academy/jail if there's awesome artists teaching kids? Thanks UK Drill, you're the best Daddy. All these politicians and complex problems are the true problem, but Drill artists are so beautiful souls who would or could do no harm to anyone. It's just kids, with machetes and amphetamine - what could go wrong, srlsy???!? No one ever thinks about the kids (i-i) Srsly, after over 20 years of listening to rapmusic, some people get this feeling of being done with self-righthous infantile minds telling the world how complicated their lifes are, so the only option was criminality. If a 40 yrs old guy raps it after living the life, coping with the crap and trying to be a better man - fine, but if its kids who believe they were men after hanging around with the wrong people, motivating other kids to follow their example... i mean srsly.. what has rap music and the culture around always been about? Behavioural models. And the lacking of the latter. If rap music becomes a machine majorly distributing WRONG behavioural models - guess what happens? Rap music becomes more than a subversive party culture or indicator for the depths of societal problems, but an actual set of weaponized cultural techniques with the capability of steering masses, starting with the weakest minds: Kids. It's up to the artists if that moving and influencing of masses leads to something positive or to something that aims to destroy societies from within. It's not only about politicians, artists clearly have their very own responsibility. If they fail coming up to that responsibility... just like their fathers who didnt give a shit about them (yeayeayea, cry me a river)... who is to blame? More than just 1 side of the game.
ps: having said all this... great vid, as usual. no disrespect towards your awesome work.
@@slbx1948 I don't think music has the ability to control thought and action anymore than video games and movies. And we already have seen the studies saying violent video games don't make the people who play them any more violent. If someone turns into a murderer and drug dealer after listening to music, then that person has serious underlying mental issues that should be delt with
