Just remember a huge part of making drill music is sound selection. You can't just use any trap drum sounds or something, the wrong sounds can fuck up a drill beat instantly.
You should go more into music theory when it comes to melodies and chords like for instance in this tutorial, why the scale? and quick lil tips on making melodies for drill beats. Still lit tho🔥🔥

I mean it’s Nice to see j.rent improving a bit on the drill genre, but still, the beat is more a trap beat than a drill beat 1. The kick gotta be like hitting super fkn hard (use the melo kick 1 and put a soft clipper on the master instead of a limiter) 2. The 808 does not need to be distorted, but should be more of a bass line/sub bass, and then let the kick do all the work. 3. U need a kick on every downbeat. The kick is also wayyyy to busy. Keep it simple. 4. The 808 is also too busy, plus it needs to be sterioized. I would def look at 808 melos dior deconstruction on genius to get a better idea of how drill beats work/are made

What you told about the future of Drill is what I also feel but the same thing was being predicted for screamo trap and I won't consider screamo trap to be super famous. It was liked by handsfull of audience. Drill can be next trap but it is still in its' initial stage. Anyways would love to have drill incorporated into billboard chart topping songs.
I get how drill might be the 2020’s music. But i also see how lofi hip hop could become the 2020’s music as well. The thing i don’t really like about drill is that second snare placement, pop music definitely loves to mark their 2 and 4’s so it might become a problem.
fruity free filter would actually be a better choice. even then, i still think that using an actual eq is better. I find it sounds more like the original with an actual eq, other than that i dont think theres any reason to use one over the other
