Thanks, Harry. That's a fine looking ship. Your wood effects, gilding, etc, have worked extremely well. I've enjoyed following the build. Also, I understand the pitfalls of models and moving only too well. I had a Revell "Spanish Galleon" damaged so badly some years back during a move (my own fault) that I didn't have the heart to repair it.
I lost my 1:200 Greek Galley after the move to Brisbane 5 years ago, bowsprit snapped and it was too broken to repair. But I managed to find a 1:50 Imai kit of the same ship so look forward to building that as a replacement
love all your videos i see sir but as a model ship builder always enjoy seeing how some of your ships are coming. This build is slowly coming one of my favorite as i managed to get my hands on a kit of St. Louis and these videos have been giving me a lot of ideas. Have a great day sir and look forword to your future videos
The St Louis is looking great Harry! You have gone to a lot of trouble to make this build shine. Looking forward to seeing her under full sail. Cheers mate!
Looking beautiful Harry! Boundless admiration for how you coped with the damage inflicted by the move. I made a model of HMS Bounty a few years back & during a move it managed to lose the tops of two masts. I had also spent quite a bit of time painting the crew members that came with the kit, & discovered later that Fletcher Christian & some of his mates threw half the crew overboard en route. This time around Captain Bligh etc., weren’t given the 27 foot whaler: it was still on deck, so they must have had to swim to Java or wherever…
A star is born hehe. Ship is really a work of art Harry. I guess I'll start looking into using white glue on my builds. It seems to be the top to building. Your probably the 7 guy I've seen use the stuff. I always hate the drying time on my Dioramas buildings and such. Anyway fantastic build Harry. God bless
The Selleys white wood glue is touch dry in minutes and for what I need, holding fast in a few minutes more. Cures fully overnight, but tacky in under 5 mins is fine by me.
Okay HH drove 16 miles to my nearest newsagents and got a copy! My UK translation from 'Stralian' had all the expletives and innuendos written out of it? How the hell did you get Bask to accept being handled and made ready for the photograph! Well done Sir. Loved reading it and weirdly proud of what you are achieving here, good on ya mate (a bit of stralian for ya there). All the best and keep it coming. Dave.
Harry with all your shaving, pulling, bindings, and general rooting about I think what you and your MODELS get up to in your hobby room should stay in your hobby room
Absolutely gorgeous! I'm still shocked how well you imitated wooden hull planks. 😄
It’s all due to Lifecolor Liquid Pigments and some steady brush strokes.
Cheers Harry...one step back, two steps forward. 👍😁🐈⬛
and a trip in the middle haha thanks Angus
You fixed the damage with. some clever ways. Thanks Harry.
After so many house moves I have developed fixing skills :)
Love watching your boat building, fixes and tips for improving effects Well done for ''Cover Girl'l of Boat magazine Good on you mate!
Thanks 👍 Bask got the center fold

@@HarryHoudiniModels I suppose ships, particularly sailing ships, as very susceptible to getting damaged. My AFVs faired much better in the move.
A new video on Saint-Louis; it's Christmas ahead of time... Thanks, "SantHarry".....
You are most welcome… now about my crispness present…
Gotta say the St Louis will give the goldfish a good reason to behave.
Job well done mate
I think Bask ate the goldfish James
That was some nifty fixes...those guns are awesome too Harry...I'm enjoying
Thanks Bill
Great work, as always, HH. Thanks for sharing!
Good on you Mal, thanks for watching

Thanks Ian… yes moving is always perilous for models

Well done Harry , lots of fine work there . Now you just need a barn for your broad side .
A barn you say? This must be La’Merican speak as I know not what you mean???
@@HarryHoudiniModels referring to shooting accuracy .
"He couldn't hit the broad side of a barn !"
great looking ship Mr Houdini,i bet it will look good as a display piece, well done sir :)
Many thanks
I’ll have to keep that toothpick trick in mind on my current build. Granted I have full barrels on carriages but should definitely do the trick!
Toothpicks are a very useful resource in the hobby room.
Superb! 😍Thanks Harry👍🏻
Thank you Yves
Thanks!
Good on you Charles… Super Thanks

One of many you old bugger, what a day Harry, well done mate.

And here I was planning a long hard T.U.G.
Was this the only model that took damage from the move?
The odd thing broke as expected.. a prop on the Schnellboot, a loose lantern on the Bounty. Nothing major, just annoying little fix ups.
