Opel Speedster Turbo Nurburgring Nordschleife spin & crash

- Semi-dry conditions are not ideal in a light, mid-engined car with no ESP.
At approx. 3:45: Oversteer through Miss-Hit-Miss induced by light lift-off and damp tarmac on the edge of the racing line, resulting in a massive spin & inevitable wall tap.
Quick reaction from the following driver in a BMW M3 saved the day. He flagged down traffic through the blind corner, preventing a small accident becoming a larger pile-up like we've seen once too many times on the Nordschleife. - Авто та транспорт
Lifted off the throttle... that's what caused it. Shame but lesson learned!
wow. This car has such a narrow cockpit. How can you race with this seat position?
oh shit ... gear oil on the rear left wheel? you have to build a catchtank on the gear, otherwise it happens again and again.
Nextime don't use micro usb..use type c
Aah man that sucks. Looks like a hard hit but the damage looks somewhat ok? How much HP is/was it running?
Zanic L3 The crash actually happened back in 2017, the car is back on the road now, albeit with a new owner. It’s running about 230 hp & 400 Nm.
How this is happened you were driving very good?
that corner too many weight shifts was uneven i think
@@mattkawiecki6572 I think there are few trap corner in nurburning race track.
@@fatihorkunss watched it in .25% speed it looked like he was understeering and sliding barely and over corrected
Wow that guy in bmw with yellow flag is real hero 🙂 They dont use side indicators, but they have yellow flag in car.
Uff...lucky crash my friend
How could this happen??
Björn Schimanek: to say it in German words: Lastwechselreaktion. He stepped on the the throttle (even slightly) within the corner, released when the turbo already pushed... midengined car... hey! there goes the rear...
tire1974 meinste echt?
Mid corner understeer to lift off oversteer. Actually imo( im not an expert, not even close) he went for the aggresive racing line there. In terms of safety i would like more to hit the first and last apex in this 3apexes corner.
What went wrong? Until the accident he was driving like an old lady.
