  • Here is an easy Qigong routine that is helpful for calming, grounding, and centering the Mind.
There are so many things that we:
    should do
    need to do
    and want to do
that it can feel never ending. We are in a day and age of overstimulation. We are often tied into our email, Facebook, our phones, the news, the "happenings" in our family, neighbourhood, and community that sometime we just want to shut it all off!
    www.qigongforvi...
This simple routine can help! Qigong always focuses on deep breathing, gentle movement, and focusing the mind. There are many great Qigong routines. Some can strengthen the body, some can help you enter a deep state of meditation, and some can build your root energy and qi. All of those practices are great, but sometimes, we just need to shut off all the "noise" of our busy world.
These short and simple routines are perfect for that. You can practice this routine once or even twice a day, as it won't harm or overstimulate the body in any way. Just try to focus on deep full breaths and "feel the Flow!"
If you want to make sure you receive all of our new UA-cam videos, please join our newsletter- don't worry we won't spam you and you can always unsubscribe :)

To get the full benefit of qi gong practice I would highly recommend practicing full routines which can be found in the "Communi Qi." This is an online library with:
    -the 30 Days of Qigong
    -full qigong routines
    -short qi gong routines

Hi Jeff, just discovered your routines. I am a black belt in Samurai Ju Jitsu and I am familiar with Qi Gong and many forms of meditation. Over the last year I have been, what I can only say, taken down by a formidable opponent......anxiety, very much out of the blue. The humbling experience of it all, the realisation that all my training couldn’t stop the onset of this debilitating condition has made me reach out and find you. I have only just started to follow your tuition but I find your teaching and sincerity is perfect for me. I am on the right path and vastly improved from last year, but I wanted to say that it’s a pleasure meeting you on that path. My Sensei would say ‘be like water, water will always find a way’

I hope you’re doing better too. Anxiety is also a teacher, which we begin to realise is very much trying to protect us. Anxiety and fear sit very closely next to love. I’ll keep you in my prayers 🙏

I just wanted to say, that I was just on vacation in New York State, when I had a major anxiety attack. I tried all kinds of ways to stop it, but nothing was working. I have done QiGong many times, I even had a DVD with me, but I failed to watch it. I clicked on You Tube and found your short videos and found the one on anxiety and I watched it and worked along with it, until the anxiety attack went away. I just wanted to thank you, for doing what you do and sharing it with the world. Also, I wanted to say that I learned a thing or two, from the anxiety video, that I never knew before. Thank You very much!

After around 10 months following your videos Jeff. I'm 66, my breathing is better, deeper, fuller, my body is and feels more flexible and interestingly, stronger, muscles are worked differently. I listen to my body which your videos have taught me too. I now practice around 40 minutes in the morning and around half an hour before supper.
In a funny way it feels like we breathe through our feet as well. I don't see much in dan tian breathing but do feel like, now and again,'elastic bands' --or energy bands here and there.
Thanks your videos are very clear, like water :) working gently away. Your humour is good, helpful too a light touch, you demonstrate, embody what you teach and show, that is ace.
    Many thanks,
    Jay

I recently had a respiratory infection that caused pain in my upper back and diaphragm My Chiropractor said it is interchostal neuritis. its been 2 weeks and i'm better but simple exertion still makes it hard to breath. As I was wondering what steps I could take to heal myself, Jeff''s E mail popped up in my inbox! How synchronistic! I felt an immediate release of tension, and breathing was so much easier. A reminder NOT to hold on to all the memes... breath and let go. Thank you Jeff for coming to my rescue☮

I have been doing this practice daily since about a month ago, and the difference has been not physical well-being, but I really feel my mind changing as well. So much calmer, so less anxious and simply happier. Plus I practice meditation as well. And my mind is so much clearer during meditation. I feel like I'm more in my body and notice more when I am tense. But when I am, I just ask myself the question of what is the root cause and so, I am able to recognize an answer more readily and clearly. So, great. Lots of "so much"es here. Thank you so much!!!

    Hi Jeff!
My name is Emilia and I live in Romania ( in Eastern Europe), where Qigong is very, very little know and therefore, practiced. There are only a few big cities where courses of this kind are being taught over here, but I live in a small town, far away from those places...So, there are no chances for me to join to a Qigong practitioners group; nevertheless, I think I'm very blessed to find all these beautiful videos with Qigong exercises ( I have health problems), and I'm practising them every day at home. I simply and solely want to say: Thank you so, so much ! Many, many blessings!

You can practice Qigong anytime that you want, morning, afternoon, or evening.
The most important aspect is breathing and getting into that state where you feel relaxed, calm, and you're energy is flowing smoothly!
      Keep practicing, you'll do well!

At the end of this exercise I feel my body so hot from inside... not like I'm swearing after workout...but differently. Such a heavy heat. That's amazing ... is that right ? Does someone feel like that?

That's a sign of good qi and blood circulation. If you feel good, then it is a very good sign! After awhile you'll feel like more often.
      Keep it up!

Thank you for sharing that. I often feel cold inside due to fatigue and burnout so hearing that makes me wanna practice this more.

So strange, when I pressed my palms together and lowered my legs my heart started to beat faster and a bit unregulated, what could be the reason for that?
