  • Up to 80% of strokes are preventable with lifestyle changes. That's a big number.
Since May is Stroke Awareness Month here in the U.S., my newest video covers the top 10 modifiable stroke risk factors and what you can do about them. If you have already survived a stroke, changing some of these lifestyle factors can help to reduce the risk of a secondary stroke.

You're sooo good! BTW, studies show conclusively that olive oil still clogs arteries despite it's having heart healthy polyphenols!

Hi, Elyse, glad to have found your video. I wonder, Is there such thing as blood vein contraction or elasticity causes stroke hemorrhage in the brain? I had a hemorrhage stroke after hot shower. I m with mild hypertension only, no cholesterol or glucose issues. And I m happy person. Stress free. If they is such things, age 53, seem to be our phisical and organic organ is getting old without sign or signal at all. What else's can I do? I m recovering. But..... You know. Slowly.. but worrying.

Hi there, Beautiful Dream. I'm so sorry to hear about your stroke, but I'm glad to hear that you're recovering slowly. The etiology (or cause) of your specific stroke would be a good conversation to have with your PCP or neurologist.
One of the hardest things I talk about with survivors is that recovery usually is slow. That's not unusual. In a world where we strive for instant gratification, it can be really difficult when you don't make a ton of progress in a short amount of time. Keep going. Don't stop and you will continue to see changes! I wish you the best in your recovery journey!

@@PostStrokeOrg thanks. Will continue. Will infrared red light therapy advisable? I feel so comfortable with it at home use. Even though it is only 15 minutes each part daily. Should I stop after 7 days?
