Would you say having a servant's heart is the same as people please, if the intention behind serving or helping that person, is God and not people" I ask because I have realized it is also the intent behind the help. 🙏🏽. I struggle to say no because my tone and body language speak volumes and also got so used to saying yes. So an area I am working on currently but I have no issue stating "I am unavailable" and that helps too. Thanks so much for sharing. We appreciate you. I will share. 😊

So in the Christian world I can see how this can be a bit tricky, I think it’s all about the intent behind it, I don’t think it’s the same cause the difference is you are doing it for God in accordance to what his word says about serving. I think also one of the important things that people pleasers need to ask themselves is why is it so important to have a need to please other people to my own self detriment What am i looking for. Am I looking to be loved by others, do I determine my self worth in the eyes of others, do I need validation from others to be able to love myself it so I do this becoz I have a need of belonging. I think if one can answer these questions then they can begin to work on their mind and learn how to self love and know that it starts with oneself and isn’t in the hands of others. This is just my take on the topic ❤️
