Try biological laundry powder to eat those stains up on the seats. Or Milton sterilising fluid on anything white with organic staining. Great looking boat And some tinted osmo on that timber will look sweet
Peter Darr I’m in the UK Peter. Milton fluid is commonly used here to sterilise baby products. It’s a great option for testing on organic stains on a white material. I have personally used it to get tumeric stains out of white cotton. It was bizarre, the stain literally disappeared before my eyes whe dabbed in directly. As far as the biological laundry powder. I would use a product here called Persil. I used it to remove the staining from a zodiac rib as well as a grp fishing boat. It must be ‘biological’ so you don’t have to ‘work’ the product so much as it digests most organic stains. I’m sure if you google the products you will find a suitable alternative locally or maybe amazon can deliver. All the best Oh and Osmo I use regularly in the restoration of timber. Unlike a lacquer or varnish you can over-apply the product when needed in future and won’t suffer the UV damage and de-lamination you would with a lacquer. It has the qualities of an oil, a wax, a stain and a lacquer. Far less labour to maintain in the future however and the tinted versions work great to renovate those sun bleached areas.

All the best
Oh and Osmo I use regularly in the restoration of timber.
That is what you call a best case scenario. Congratulations
just came across your video, so nice that you were able to save such a nice boat. I've seen so many that weren't. just left to rot. I'll never understand why people will let cars, boats, campers, and motorcycles go to waste. if you can't restore it in a few years. let it go to someone that will.
Put some new decals on that Mercury and it will make the entire package look better.
1OFGODSOWN agreed I was thinking cheap spray job didn’t even tape or replace decals
For some reason it's Tabu to put new stickers on outboard motors in Florida. I have seen almost brand-new Motors where they take the stickers off. Can't figure it out
@@rogerbaker3838 I see that too lol makes it look like junk when they all faded
Idk much about boats but I feel like whoever sold this boat in the first place could have gotten way more money if they just cleaned it before selling it.
you know what DJT would say ... " never sell a car without cleaning it " in this case a Boat ...
What a nice job U did....
I did power washing in my life & a job like this...U enjoy, it cleaning up. Have a good season !
I'm needing one like this so I can get back out on the gulf and start fishing again! Blessings to you and your family man.
Good job, I know it gives you a sense of accomplishment to get that boat looking and running good again.
I had a custom craft 14ft gheenoe style boat. Made down the road from me in Brooklet,GA in the 80’s. The guys who own custom marine in Statesboro where the ones who made them. Miss that boat dearly!
I would get some new Mercury decals for the motor and that thing would look new
I can smell the bleach through my phone! Great job 👍
Can u rlly

I like those 2 cycle mercury they last forever! Downfall they stink when you run them. Good job cleaning that boat up! I’m surprised that you didn’t take on any water! Usually those rubber gaskets ants and plugs crack over time of just sitting not being used!
All I could think after you were done was how pretty that boat is.

Mr Clean white erasers work great on boats!!👍🏄♂️ it's like magic in a sponge
Amen to that sister . At the boat slip we rented the lady that was the owner said “ when you clean the picnic table it’ll take a while because her and another lady worked on it and had to scrub and scrub (it’s one of those white resin/fiberglass type tables). I walked out there with the good old Mr Clean magic eraser and was done it 10 minutes . Looked brand new .
@@beeallen-hine1421 I have boats and jet skis... in Alabama where I had a home , mold grows bad on the polyester..like magic...and in the desert..takes off dirt ...like magic!
Great find !Awesome cleanup job too!
Nice job! Well done, grats on your sweet baby. Enjoy and stay safe amigo.
Wonderful job guys. Makes me want to get into this myself. I can do all of the work myself no worries..... Just broke as hell. :(
Same!
Backyard mechanics. Changed a tire once and now all of a sudden they're boat experts!
@@TT4ME jealous they can actually change a tyre? Dickhead
@@Notinserviceij You're 2 years late on your reply you Cod. What's tyre anyway? Back to your tea party.
Wow I am so impressed ..back from the dead ..i would hope you got a chance to show the seller what he could have done...that 200 really is a great engine ..pat yourself on the back..this was a miracle .
The dislikes are all the lazy people that sold their dirty boats and then see how nice they can be with a little initiative.
It's something how a 200 hp 2 stroke can still sound like a chain saw. No captains choice with those
I miss my boat so much after watching this!!! Stupid sold it. But it was just like that a 89 Wahoo 18ft brought back from neglect.
Wow. And I complain that my kayak is dirty every time I finish a day of fishing.
Man this looks so damn professional. Great job on cleaning this thing up
That was an amazing achievement!
Looked great on the water the only thing I’d suggest is trim the engine up a bit when at maximum to bring the nose down and keep it flat on the plane...
Freakin AWESOME man. One mans TRASH is another mans TREASURE. 👍👍
You already completed more trips than the Titanic. Congrats!
I’m retired from the Army and I think I’m going to start doing this just for something to do. I love fishing and BOATS! So what a good retirement job.

Beautiful job! I just can't figure out how 1k people didn't like this.

A good inspiration to all of us , to get off a lazy asses. ... 🤣 Great job , enjoy it.
Great score mate, sounds like you got it at the right place and a bit of elbow grease and she looks like a beauty.....plenty of fishing now. Well done
That’s is so cool and you are so lucky! Having owned several boats in my life I can tell you that there could have been about 50 things to fix. 😆 Well maybe not 50. No wait yes 50. 😆 Or more 😆
nice job 👍🏽 i’d stain the wood parts but that’s just my 2 cents
Go to 15:55, it looks like he restained and varnished the wood louver doors that access the cabin.
