- This was my second Trip Paddling solo and my first in an old canoe I bought from an outfitter. With Max and Thais we Paddle 41km from Palmer Rapids to Griffith. It was the perfect place to advance our skills and take a couple swims if need be, but the water was warm and everything was beautiful during 3 perfect August days.

There, we fixed it for you.
Wow thank you!!!
I was hoping to leave better time indicators but you dialed it in and nailed it! Ty
@@XanderBudnick This is the only video on UA-cam I didn’t need time stamps for, love the vids man
Did I just stumble upon Patches' maiden voyage? Epic!!!
I'm loving this channel, love the camping and whitewater stuff! binge watching everything here since I found it a few days ago. Much love man
Thanks Jandalf. Hopefully will be doing more of it soon. Ehh right on man! Cheers
@@XanderBudnick I don't know if you plan of traveling but if you do Vancouver island is absolutely gorgeous for summer camping and has some decent whitewater action (after all this covid stuff unfortunately)
Legit!! Love your style brother, hope you've got lots of paddling content coming this year
Thanks again my man ☺️ I was actually just looking at Kokatat dry suits today 😋
@@XanderBudnick nice, I've mulled that one many times, then I talk myself out of it due to the cost. But it would be extremely sweet
@@LostLakes yah they're pricey but would be a lifelong item. Do you do whitewater?
@@XanderBudnick yeah you'd certainly hope so for that coin. Yeah I do some but mostly just CI/II, maybe the odd touch of III. I definitely fear the power of water beyond CII so it was inspiring to watch you overcome that here
@@LostLakes Aye for sure. It's healthy to have a good fear of the water. its scary stuff I have it too. Cheers my friend :D !!
Nice example of a canoe over canoe rescue! I remember having to do that for a canoeing merit badge 50 years ago. For my canoeing, it's been a useless skill. But it was neat to see.
I paddled the same route you did, 2 years ago!! Such a fun time and really hope to do it again!!
Your videos are my favourite content on UA-cam right now! Inspiring me to pursue my own solo camping sessions. Thanks so much Xander for your amazing content and please keep the videos coming! Best wishes from Wales 🏴
I felt like Xander really wanted to say something deep or revealing at 9:08 but didnt. An epic journey as always, great scenery and a sense of adventure. Awesome!
Lol maybe I don't remember tho
smashed my knee on an underwater rock there in '93. Still sore lol Nice video. Love that part of the country.
The beginning of patches
Love your videos, will never stop watching
Just found your channel. This is great to see. I love your big rivers over there, here in Ireland we have much smaller rockier rivers but we still run them. You have certainly got your money's worth out of that boat already. Big Al.
I have a feeling this was one of those trips that integrated into yourself beautifully. Overwhelming and difficult at times, but in retrospect, it gave growth.
Float/air bags would make flips less painful to fix, looks like the Canoe got swamped haha. Might be a investment worth making. Cheers and great videos, they inspire me to get out there!
Great video brother love your adventures always at 9 minutes and 10 seconds you have sasquatch watching you from the woods just in front of you between the trees stay safe he is a big one
Couldnt see any
So cool to see piano rock at a lower water level, and to see how far you’ve gone since this!
Well put together brother, great story. I loved the rapids sequences!
Thanks my man, we gotta get out this week :)
Zander that was awesome! You rock🙌🏼
Know what I like about you Xander? You jus a 'tad' bit karazee! Came here from Lost Lakes. Jon and Erin sent me💕 Yes I sub'd. Take care out there.

excited for your next video ! this one is awesome !
Thanks man. Glad you enjoyed my summer videos. These ones got less attention than my winter ones so it's nice to hear you enjoyed it :)
💜💙 "THAT WAS REALLY SKETCHY" ❤️💚
This is a rough for test for patches. This vid is so good i dont understand why it only has 23k views.
Madawaska river you say......that looked like fun
Couple years late to comment but you nailed that line on riffle 👏
Really cool trip Bud!
Great video Xander!
Thanks for watching my man!
It's weird seeing Xander chill on MY campsite. Hey, go find your own thunder box!
Love yours and maxies work!!!! Wanna go!!??
The ones where you are most out of your depth tend to be the most rewarding!!!
Absolutely. Cheers
Wow bro great job and love you bro 😘

Xander is lowkey the best cook among campers

好漂亮的湖泊,喜歡,但是請您務必小心謹慎ㄧ點
Zan just one question, r u playing on patches? If u r I'm not talkin to u again jk. Looked like u had alot of fun. Man the way u just went through the rapids your a beast. Keep on living free bud. Izzy from Cali
Whitewater looks insanely fun! All my paddles have been on lakes but I’m planning a trip to run some rapids later this summer. Any filming recommendations? I appreciate that you showed the rushes and the fails.
Moving water is the best. It's hard to go back after. Enjoy my friend. GoPro is a good choice :p make sure your camera is connected tied to the gunnel I've seen alot of list go pros from them not being tied down
In the fray of crazy politics and issues bombarding me, to watch one of your videos is like a massive infusion of healthy air. Thank you!
What an interesting barrel backpack. How did that work out? I might have to give something like that a try.
It's called a bear barrel it's great for keeping your food in so you don't have to hang your food and trees it's awesome for food
Plan on doing this trip next june
I love u xander😘😘😘😘
If survival methods rely on water condensation from leaves, doesn’t make much sense to use green leaves to dry, it does help with aireation I guess, but they hold humidity and water too
Patches lasted longer than you thought 😂
🔥
😊😊😊
Was this Patch's first trip?
