Had to restart a couple times caused Sasha’s deck was so obviously rigged by the devs to make it more difficult. Even on easy she’s pulling out an unrealistic amount of scorch cards
I was afraid of this tournament but it was easy peasy with the deck I have now, I mostly play Northern Reals and have all neutral cards, and all the special cards and heroes, the only thing I'm missing in NR deck is Philippa Eilhart, after that it was only a bit of strategy for opponents decks.. you helped to get me to this point with all your tutorials :))
It's not all luck-based, fortunately. With a very good deck it's virtually guaranteed that you get a good enough hand to win with either the NR deck or Nilfgaard deck. It's not necessarily easy in the tournament though, I agree. The NR halfing and Sasha with her Nilfgaard deck are definitely tough.
@@DPhoenix237 what i mean is that yeah, you can do a couple of plays, a couple of strats, but if your opponent has a better deck or if u dont get a good starting hand its almost impossible to win

Why would you do that? Its no fun without Challange, and you get nothing really from gwent in the Game, so... I dont get People who dont search the biggest possible Challange. Sorry for my bad english 😂
@@KABBARANKS Obviously. Just wanted to share my opinion. You dont have to listen to it. Also, my english is kind of very bad, so it probably sounded more assulting than it was meant to be 😅
@@bomellp7470 Your English is fine. Gwent is OK but, to be honest, I've played through the entire game at least twice without playing any gwent at all. I'm really not that bothered about it.
I see you've been playing FF X recently, but I was wondering if you could answer a couple of questions for me? First, I started out skipping gwent, and didn't play the three guys in the casino during, I think it was, Honor Among Thieves. I didn't know how to play at the time, but since I've started playing, I like gwent now. Is it still possible to get the three cards that those guys had? If I can't, how much will it hurt my deck? Can I get them doing NG+ later? Second, I'm playing the game very slowly: I'm only level 19 after 147 hours of play on Story Mode. I'm doing every little quest below my level I can find and also just exploring the wild. With the game being on easy mode that means I sometimes kill random higher level monsters and get a lot of experience, which makes me get little from the main quest chain. But I don't care too much because I am mainly trying to enjoy all the story and suck as much mellow enjoyment out of the game as possible: power play is for another play-through! Anyway, here is my question: after finishing the game (I'm playing Game of the Year Edition with the two DLCs), will I be able to start a game on NG+ even though my first playthrough is on easy mode? While I'm at it, I'm trying to collect all the good armors/weapons etc.
Well, the three games in the casino aren't important because you don't win any cards from them. And yes, you can choose whatever difficulty you want when you start New Game Plus.
I really wanna use the same exact cards youre using but Im afraid I have to have a look at your deck, I mean I have all the cards needed but I dont know how many special cards I need to put in there for example. Do you have a video of yours that I can check out? btw keep up the awesome work.
Can you set the Gwent difficulty to Hard on the PS4? I’m playing on Death March but I’m still steamrolling through the game with my siege heavy northern realms deck.
Done about 4 playthroughs and never played this quest can never seem to have the patience to get good at gwent maybe try it in blood and wine properly when i can just buy most of the cards 🤣 or do it on new game plus
Create a save before you even enter the tournament, and one right after you win all 4 matches and complete the theft search. You can replay the tournament to your hearts content to see how you will fare with a randomly drawn deck. Some card combos are really meh together.
Yeah kinda, although Death March doesn't affect Gwent difficulty other than the Fist fight vs the Elven guy. Unless you changed the Gwent difficulty it'll still have been on Normal for Gwent.
@@DPhoenix237 oh I didn't even know there was separate difficulties damn will have to check what I have it set to, I presume it doesn't affect the awards cause of how it works
Geralt you get for beating Thaler. You have to have completed some quests from the Dijkstra/Roche questline in Novigrad. I think you have to have beaten Roche first, but I'm not 100% sure off the top of my head. Ciri you get for beating the Scoai'tael player in the Novigrad Gwent quest after bearing Dijkstra; that's the quest that starts in Novigrad playing Vimme Vivaldi. The Mysterious Elf card is GODLIKE and is probably the best card in the base game IMHO, but you have to have completed the Skellige starting quests ta have beaten Ermion and Crach, and before you can play Gremist for the card you have to have finished Gremist's quest too, which is a level 24 quest. So either you get it late in the game or you have to be able to complete that quest early.
@@DPhoenix237 l would Avalac'h is the best card, period. Not just in the base game. If you think about HoS cards, there are good ones, but they are nowhere near as good as Avalac'h. As for BaW, its Skellige cards, so even though Cerys is an amazing card, it can only be used for Skellige, which has no spies
@@justhair17 Cerys being better than Mysterious Elf isn't a given, it is debatable, but as an actual card it's difficult to argue that Cerys isn't the best card imho. Even drawing two cards with Mysterious Elf you'd have to get a pretty great draw to get yourself something that scores 46 points the majority of the time. They're the two best cards though, I would say. There are some other good ones, like Ville etc.
Tbh at the beginning of the first match l doubt you had to waste that many cards. The enemy was just placing spies, so you could have passed earlier. Also, l dont think you need to have clean weather. On hard, most oppononents dont really use weather cards and with less cards there is a higher chance you draw spies/ decoys
I sort of see your points but that is an odd commentary for a game that I won and scored 198; the tactics were solid. If you're playing against Northern Realms then passing too early lets them potentially win and then they get an extra card, and the two Catapults alone can be 32 points and an easy comeback win for playing minimal cards. Because that'd mean that the opponent gets the extra card because of the NR perk, and conversely I wouldn't do, then that is a 2card swing and not worth the risk. The Clear Weather isn't usually in my decks but it's useful for High Stakes, and particularly for that NR game because he has the Scorch Siege leader ability, which can wipe out your highest scoring siege at any time and leave you vulnerable to Frost or Fog otherwise because you need the score from your Melee and Ranged if that is the case. I used it here and restored a ton of potentially lost score from the Reavers, so again...I'm ok with it.
